The ranch was the site of a sawmill in the early 1900s when the old Rio Grande Southern and Galloping Goose Railroads ran through the property along the Dolores River. All that’s left now is a little shack in the middle of the meadow and some remnants of the railroad tracks in the river.

Deep Roots Organic Farm

We are an all organic farm located in Montrose Colorado! Our farm is focused on growing amazing fresh produce that we can share with as many as we can and part of that is letting our amazing campers be exposed to everything our farm has to offer. Our campers will have their campsites a little ways from our gardens so it will seem somewhat private but will have access to our produce store and farm bakery. We will continually be working on improving all aspects of our farm. We are open to the public through our produce farm so our campers will more than likely get to meet local people right here on the farm!

Additionally, if you're up for it, you can experience not just one, but two stunning sunsets in the evening. This unique feature allows you to witness the beauty of nature's transitions in the sky. As the day comes to a close, you'll be treated to a perfect, clear view of the evening sky, providing a truly magical experience.

We are excited to announce that 2023 marks our first year back in production after a hiatus due to the pandemic. We have been eagerly preparing for this moment and are thrilled to welcome guests back to our farm. By staying with us, you will not only enjoy a peaceful and picturesque environment but also support our efforts in sustainable agriculture and community engagement.
