The Unhitched Ranch

The Unhitched Ranch is a family run Clydesdale and Texas Longhorn Ranch. Clydesdales and Texas Longhorns have been the focus of the family owned and operated ranch. The Ranch is approximately 40 acres and is tucked away in a very unique area of Southern California and has spectacular views of the local mountains and city lights. This quaint little canyon is nestled between Loma Linda and Moreno Valley, and is home to about 800 free roaming wild burros that visit frequently.Recently we have added a Gazebo that you can camp near or under as well a a horseshoe pit, and tether ball.  We typically only open the ranch to one group of campers at a time so more than likely you will be alone with us on the ranch.  There is plenty of room for larger groups, feel free to contact us

Creekside Vintage Cabins w/hot tubs

Two Cabins to choose from, each with its own vintage charm.  Both on the same dirt road across the street from each other, separate properties, both with their own private hot tubs, kitchen, claw foot tub in bathroom, heating.  Rent separate or rent both and bring your friends!

Here are the special additions at each cabin: 
Creekside Cabin: 468 sq. ft, a beautiful deck backing up to the national forest, with propane fire pit, and charcoal bbq, overlooking fresh water creek, outdoor shower, large fireplace, open floor plan, living room with cozy queen bed, open to upstairs loft 2 full beds, and a twin bed.  This cabin has the option to add the vintage trailer in the driveway June - October only as an additional space. Does not have electricity, bathroom or heating for $75 per day. Trailer not available other times of the year due to cold night temps. 
 
Vintage 1937 Cabin: larger indoor space 1304 sq. ft. , a rock front patio, Wood stove in living room, open to upstairs loft 2 full beds, private large bedroom with another wood stove w/ queen bed and twin fold out couch, laundry room, enclosed patio with gas bbq. 

Requires 4 wheel drive and chains or two wheel drive and chains during winter storm snow days due to remote location. 

Big falls waterfall is just a short hike away, as well as the trailhead for Vivian creek Trail.   Come spend time nestled in the Coulter Pines, oaks, and maple trees.

Your neighbors are raccoons, and bears, property is situated on the edge of the San Bernardino National Forest at the top of the mountain.

You truly feel like you're in the high Sierras just 1.5 hours from Los Angeles. Big Bear Lake is a 45 minute drive away.

In town you will find Elkhorn General Store and El Mexicano Mexican Restaurant, both close early:).

Be sure to keep your own energy renewed in the desert heat with evaporative coolers blowing refreshingly cool, moist air inside each tent and cold water provided in outdoor areas. In the winter months, we provide electric blankets for a cozy, comfortable sleep!  A full bath (with complete hot/cold plumbing) plus an additional half bath are provided with easy access from the tents.

Matt and Diana were raised on Midwestern hospitality, and they enjoy offering it to you in a peaceful desert getaway. 
Married for 25 years, they both add their own special touches to the retreat. 
Diana's love for interior decorating flows through the areas with vibrant colors, convenient amenities and comfortable features that help you feel right at home...even in details like special treats for that late-night snack. 
You'll see Matt's creativity as a writer and producer in some original artwork and his love for unique, custom-made yard games and putting greens. 
Having launched three children into adulthood, they have looked forward to this time of using their freedom and talents to provide you with a pleasant, private place to rest and relax.

Diana's professional background spans business development, real estate and education while Matt's includes marketing, copywriting, producing and business startups.

Reflection Lake Campground

Southern California's Fishing Campground stocked with catfish from MLK Day to July 4th.  Lakefront sites with concrete pads, water and electric, and fire pits.  Pool, playground, basketball and wall ball courts, store, and shade pavilions.Learn more about this land:Lakeside rv and camping spaces most with a concrete pad, electrical and water hookups, and a firepit.  The 17 acres lake is stocked with catfish MLK Day through the 4th of July.  Playground, basketball and wall ball courts, shade pavillions, pool, horseshoes, and store with all supplies and firewood.

Located in one of SoCal's best kept secret spots, the Ranch was once a peach-packing facility turned into horse property turned into your new favorite get-away. Currently there are no horses (we're working on that) but you will find the current residents; Grammy & Papa living their quiet life while tending to their cat, a couple of burros, a cow, and a few chickens.
