It is nestled in the forest on 20 acres along with a house and 2 furnished bell tent clamping sites. It has access to an outdoor shower and hot tub and laundry room. There is a year round creek that runs though the property and plenty of privacy.

Wild Plumas

In 2024, Wild Plumas will be transitioning to only one glamping site and one cabin, which means even more privacy and room to roam! Wild Plumas is located on our family's private 50-acre property at the base of the Sierra Nevada. Rent one site, or the whole property for a larger event like a reunion, retreat, or small wedding! 

The camps are completely private (each one has 3+ acres). The Wild Rose offers a large canvas tent with two queen beds, comfortable bed/bedding, an outdoor kitchen area, private hot shower, and more (check the listings for details). We also have one year-round cabin (The Shabby Cabin), with a queen sized bed, indoor woodstove, outdoor covered kitchen, and private hot shower.

We are located one hour from the Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park, and minutes from swimming holes, lakes, and a million acres of National Forest- or simply stay at the property and enjoy the on-site hiking trails, free loaner bikes, treehouse, zip line, and kid's ninja warrior course. The campsites are also just a few steps from swimming holes along the creek that runs throughout. 

Thank you for respecting our new policy of no dogs allowed. We love your pets, and we know they travel as part of your family! Unfortunately, for the safety of local wildlife, and the sustainability of our accommodations, we no longer permit pets at either site. 

Please note: Our community was severely affected by the Dixie Fire. Although you can't tell from within our property, the nearby area was heavily burnt, as well as the nearby town of Greenville. During your stay, you may hear the sounds of Greenville as the town rebuilds (1.5 miles away) and you may incur brief driving delays on your way here.  When you arrive at Wild Plumas- an oasis of green within the black- you will see what a miracle it is that we survived! We thank you for your patience and for your support of our small business during this time. Be sure to visit Greenville's new pop-up downtown with food trucks, a thrift store, and an outdoor bar. 

Each site accommodates between two-four people and additional adults are $10/night who are welcome to sleep outdoors in their own tents. There is no charge for children.

Welcome! We’re Jillian and Joe, along with our sidekicks Sonora + Ayla, the brains and the brawn behind Mill Creek Resort. Since 2017, we have been pouring every ounce of our love and energy into this landmark 1930’s resort. We take great pride in honoring it's rich history while creating a space for the next generation of mountain adventurers.

Nestled in 12 acres of cedars and towering pines on the south side of Lassen Volcanic National Park, we offer 9 cabins open year-round, along with 17 campsites, some featuring glamping tents and 8 RV spots, one featuring a vintage 70's trailer and 2015 modern RV.

Plus everything else fit for outdoor enthusiasts, such as hiking, ranching, swimming, snow sports, and more all within 10-30 minutes! Some nearby towns include Chico, Klamath Falls, and Reno.  We invite you to pitch your own tent, park your own RV or car at one of our designated campsites. Water is located near the property on the bizz johnson trailhead and gallons are also sold or re-filled in town.Please feel free to contact us with questions or inquiries. Mimi’s Hideaway

Mimi’s hideaway is ideal for fully contained RVs up to 28ft.  (sorry, no tent camping). We are located in the town of Chester/ Lake Almanor. The site sits on the edge of a beautiful 70 acre meadow where you can explore the historical Olsen barn, complete with barn owl. Follow the trail a short walk from your site to get epic views of Mt. Lassen,hiking, and fishing. Watch wildlife, birds, and the moonrise while relaxing at the table with built in fire pit. Also available is full hook up (with 50/30 electric, water, and sewer), BBQ, trash, and Mt. Views. Pets welcome, especially if they play with Indy the border collie. 

We are located with in a short drive to beaches, boating, water sports rentals, kayaking, hiking, fishing, off roading, and Mt. Lassen National Park.

We believe in outdoor BBQs, starry nights, good laughs, exploration, deep sleep, and an early rise. The mountains are a place to get back to basics, a place to explore, to breathe. So turn off your phone and return to your senses.

We hope Camp Almanor becomes your home as it is ours. It’s located in one of the most spectacular areas in the world. From craggy peaks and high mountain lakes to wild and winding rivers, we’re surrounded on all sides by the Lost Sierra. Avoid the crowds and explore Lassen Volcanic National Park, just a short drive away, it is home to steaming fumaroles, meadows freckled with wildflowers, clear mountain lakes, and numerous volcanoes.

We're proud to know this area intimately and are excited to share the secret spots with you. Excellent hiking & running trails, and thousands of miles of ATV, dirt bike, and mountain bike trails are accessible right from our camp or within a short drive from Camp Almanor. You may just want to sit outside and read for days, enjoy the tall pine trees, and eat s’mores. The more adventurous may prefer kayaking, boating, fishing, bird watching, and stand-up paddle boards. The surrounding terrain offers endless activities and unbelievable scenery in a remote wilderness setting.

Our cabin collection is where you will find the perfect lodging for your stay. Our options include a cozy studio cabin with a full bed, bunk beds, or futon, our popular loft cabin that sleeps up to six with a queen bed and two full mattresses in a low-ceiling loft, and our spacious chalet with room for eight. Each cabin comes with a fully stocked kitchen and essential items like linens and towels, ensuring a comfortable stay. To make your stay more comfortable, we suggest bringing along some additional beach towels, as the towels provided are meant for use only within the cabin.
