3) Cabins and Glamping: Rustic cabins and campers with modern comforts (some include AC, heating, and kitchenettes)
Activities and amenities include swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, a 6-acre foraging field and 9-hole Frisbee golf course, bouldering, zen/meditation deck, climbing, psicobloc and more outdoor pursuits than one has time to pursue. Children can enjoy the Ninja rope course with zipline, slackline, and rope swing and petting Biscuit and Buttercup – our favored Kunekune forest pigs. And, Woolly Hollow State Park, Cove Creek Natural Heritage Area, Persimmon Ridge Resort and Greer's Ferry Lake are a short drive away.
We invite you to our little piece of paradise on the Cadron. Bathe in a forest of tall standing pines and oak trees. Sit on the bank of a cascading stream. Embrace nature. And although we lie at the edge of civilization we have good cell phone service and water hydrants and electrical outlets for recharging phones and the such are freely available for our guests to use. From March through November hot water showers are also freely available.
Our place is a bit rough, rugged and unruly yet we call it home -- a place where everyone regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, political views, religion, national origin, or culture is welcomed to come enjoy nature's marvelous works and wonders. It’s awesome here when the dogwood and redbuds bloom in the spring, and when the leaves change color in the fall. The St. Francis National Forest is more diverse, with the St. Francis and Mississippi Rivers running through it, as well as lakes, valleys, and tons of wildlife. It’s the only place in the national forest system where you can access the Mississippi River from the shore, so that right there is a must do! The whole expanse of land is filled with multi-use trails, hundreds of campsites, spots for swimming, fishing, and boating, and even some amazing caves to explore. Mother Nature crushing it as usual.

Staying here for two nights with john was so amazing !! i got to meet wonderful people along the way and explore some beautiful sites and areas. the trails john takes you are are absolutely breath taking. super friendly guy. I loved this place and will for sure be coming back winter, summer, fall, autumn, great for all seasons !!

The area is always really clean, and quiet. I was the loudest one there this time, for Halloween weekend lol
Cute friendly piggies wander the land sometime, so you know youre not completely alone.

Our group of four had an absolute blast. Being October the sites weren’t filled up, so it was very peaceful. The property was beautiful and just refreshing. Aside from the showers not working when we stayed, I have nothing negative to say about our stay.
We camped at site #9 and it was perfect for both tent and hammock camping. The outhouse was close and very clean.
We unplugged while there. Though for those curious service was low, yet manageable if needed.
We will definitely be back for another stay!

This was a nice little retreat for our family! We didn’t see the foraging garden but maybe next time we get down there we will. Very quiet and the kids loved the zip line! We were at #9 but I’d probably do number 3 next time for the perfect amount of seclusion but also close enough to let the kids go play at the ninja course and still see/hear them.

We absolutely loved our night here. The site we tent camped at felt completely secluded & we were surrounded by beautiful scenery. From the creek in front of our site to the huge bluff behind us, we felt like we were camping in one of the national forests instead of a privately-owned campsite. We cannot recommend Pinnacle Springs enough - the only thing we would change is being able to stay longer.

I don't usually leave reviews, but I have to with this one! It was beyond amazing. We have lived in the area for years and never even knew this place existed!
The grounds are simply magical. If I owned this property, I'm not sure I could share, so we are incredibly grateful for John turning it into a recreational park for everyone to get to experience this beautiful area!
If you love nature - this is absolutely the place for you. It felt like a huge nature playground with all the activities and places you can explore.
I couldn't be happier that our 10 month old will always know his very first camping trip was here, we will be back several times a year for sure!

Incredible site: flat, spacious and a perfectly rugged trail with a good/flat area to lay a big towel and umbrella down. Expect a rugged ride in on parts of the trail too, should have brought our 4 wheel drive truck instead of my luxury SUV lol. Cute trails, got to pet pigs and got a great dunk in the creek. Will visit again!!

We absolutely loved tent camping on the island in the twin groves, it was beautiful. With the weather being rainy, we were a little worried about flooding but that first evening, John came down to welcome us and assured me that we would be just fine! Everything was well maintained with clearly marked trails and sites. The bathroom was as clean as could be expected with a outhouse. My children absolutely loved the playground. Zipline, spider swing, tight rope walk, climbing and more. The waterfalls and pools along Tanners Pool Trail were just beautiful. We got lucky and the rain made sure we had the whole island to ourselves for most of the weekend. We will definitely be making this a yearly trip, if not bi-yearly!
