This is an off-grid glamping cabin. The parking area is just down the hill from the cabin. It's a short walk up to the cabin, you will need to across the foot bridge over the creek and up a few steps to the cabin. The terrain on the property could be muddy or loose at times. Always watch your footing. There is no running water, but there is an 8-gallon jug over the sink for drinking and washing. Extra water available for longer stays. Composting toilet outhouse behind the cabin. Compost toilet bucket is cleaned out after every guest. Propane hot water shower is only available in the warmer months (usually April through October). The cabin is powered by a small solar panel setup. Please do not plug in any personal devices. They could damage the electrical system or overwork it. USB charging dock for phones, laptops, etc. Good cell service with most providers. Basic LED lighting. Direct vent propane heater. Full size memory foam mattress with plenty of warm blankets. You’ll have the entire property to yourself—except for the occasional deer or squirrel! For outdoor lovers, Lookout Pines has everything. Enjoy cooking in the outdoor kitchen, relaxing in the hammock, or gathering around the fire pit. For a bit of fun, there’s disc golf and we even provide two bikes for exploring! And while the outdoor space is amazing, the camper itself is designed for comfort and togetherness. With a spacious living room, a large sofa, and a full kitchen, it’s perfect for hanging out. The master bedroom is cozy, while the second bedroom offers a bonus sofa and game table that can double as beds if needed. For little ones, we provide a pack and play. We also allow one tent for extra guests for a fee. Your furry friends are more than welcome! While there’s no Wi-Fi, the cell service is good, and you’ll find TVs in both bedrooms and the living room for your convenience. We make sure the bedding is washed after every guest, and start your mornings with the provided coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Hobbs State Park and the visitor center is 5 minutes away. War Eagle Cavern is 4 minutes away. Historic War Eagle Mill is 10 minutes and the Rocky Branch Marina on Beaver Lake is 18 minutes. This is also a great place to launch your exploration of Eureka Springs or Rogers as they are both within 30 minutes.

Weekend Trip to Bigfoot County Campgrounds

Found some trees perfect for a hammock, hiked down the rock trail, made a campfire cake, had camp coffee and enjoyed the scenery. It was my kind of party. Camper was in good shape, smelled and looked clean. Having a flushable toilet, a queen size bed to sleep in, and the option to use the stove were all very convenient (especially with a 4 year old). Great place for the price, I enjoyed the atmosphere and it was peaceful and fun. Host was responsive.

Weekend Trip to Red Fern

We chose the glamping option which I would recommend. When we arrived, our tent was fully set up with a double high queen mattress, cooking and eating utensils, paper towels, toilet paper, and bottled water. Since the weekend was suppose to be cold, there were tons of blankets and even a propane powered heater provided. The site we were at needed a little more tender, loving care as it was a fresh, new site, but was in a beautiful spot overlooking a lovely, blue swimming hole. The sounds of the river/creek and our crackling fire were magical. Due to unforseen circumstances, (and unexpectedly frigid weather that we were not completely prepared for) we had to cut our trip short, but Sam and Michelle were completely understanding. We love visiting Arkansas and the property was beautiful, especially with the fall leaves in full color. I would definitely recommend this spot and would come back in the future. Also, the directions were clear and easy to follow and any questions or concerns were promptly addressed.

This cabin and location are perfection. The amount of well-honed craft that went into building the cabin and its outbuildings like the shower and outhouse are stunning, but so, too, the thought that went into making a comfortable space for guests. The mini-fridge and the large amount of water in the kitchen were so welcome. The meandering trails made my dogs so happy as we walked them several times a day. Even the light fixtures are worth gazing upon. I left here rested and restored.

Wonderful peaceful secluded getaway. This cozy cabin was just what was needed. The kitchen had the necessary items for stove top meals. The bed and linens where comfortable for a good nights sleep. A well kept outhouse. And a nice porch to sit in nature or if rain or cold a big window so you can sit inside and not feel too removed from the outdoors.

Weekend Trip to Riverdream Camps

The camp setup was perfect for our family of 3. The tent was really comfortable, and the “kitchen” was super convenient. River access was close but not incredibly easy due to the slope of the bank, but the little beach was a perfect spot to hang out, swim and fish. There were other sites nearby and some noise, but nothing too bothersome. I highly recommend this spot for a small family.

My family (3 kids- 6yr, 2yr and 2 months old and my wife & I) had such an amazing experience in this skoolie build. Bryce was such a great host and was very attentive when we had questions or anything we needed. He had everything we might need for our camping experience in the bus which was a nice feeling to have just in case we forgot something and didn't have to hall everything with us. Just had to bring food, our clothes and our sense of adventure! A nice plus when you have kids! Definitely will be making a trip back to the skoolie especially since my kids keep talking about living on the "Cool Bus" and want to go back! We will be letting everyone we know if they are heading to this area to definitely check this skoolie out! It won't disappoint!

A very special place. The swimming holes were so amazing. Definitely need 4 wheel drive to park by your site which we had. Only downfall was a very large group showed up our last day and night and it was close and loud. No fault of the owners, maybe just check to see if any large groups coming in before you book.

The views here are spectacular, without a doubt. We were at Site #1, closest to the Public Swimming Hole. Ask for a different site if you're looking for listening to less people... It's a busy place. The outhouse at the site was not operational; a tent was jammed into it and a new seat laid on top. We chose not to walk past another campsite to use those porta potties. Be prepared for humidity in the heat of the summer. Put up your fire starters, matches, etc so they don't get wet. The rug inside of the tent smelled like dogs. Personally would replace for the price per night, but it was bug free and we were glad for that. Lock up your food at night, as there are nighttime guests. We named our young raccoon friend Reginald and shared fruit with him. Overall a great stay.

Perfect little cabin for a weekend in the woods! It’s close enough to town to drive in for shopping, etc but feels super private and secluded once you’re there. The cabin was clean, cool, and comfy and we loved the fire pit! Thanks for a great stay!

Tents were clean and well outfitted, as were restrooms. We should have brought battery powered fans however, as it was miserably hot even though the front of the tent/porch was shaded. We’ll have to try again in the fall or the spring…. Maybe power to the tents for guests to bring fans, or provide something solar-powered? Overall though a pleasant stay.

1 night at Riverdream Camps

We only stayed one night. We went as a quick family trip for Father’s Day. It rained the entire time. This is, of course, completely out of the control of the owner/host. So we do not hold it against them haha. We did have about an hour break in the rain that evening and we took that opportunity to do a little fishing right on the bank of Kings River and grill some burgers and turkey dogs. The only thing that was “inconvenient”, if I had to pick something, is that the grill was actually a grate over the fire pit. Which really wasn’t an inconvenience so much as it was just unexpected. If I had known this beforehand, I would have brought along some cast iron, or at the very least, aluminum foil. The food still turned out great and we had plenty of firewood. We purchased an extra bundle and didn’t even need it since the host graciously supplied the first one. I can’t speak on the actual bathrooms because we didn’t use them. They were back up the hill from the yurt. However, there is a porta potty located at about the middle of the 3 surrounding spots. As well as a fully functioning sink in the kitchen areas. The bed was comfortable. The fan felt great. We stayed completely dry even though it rained the whole time. The yurt and the site were very clean. I also MUST mention, the water was so crystal clear. I could see my daughters feet and every rock she was standing on FROM THE BANK! It was beautiful! Just remember, Glamping is still camping!!! We will definitely ‘Glamp’ again!!!

Weekend Trip to Red Fern

Beautiful site with the sound of the river all around. Sam was very friendly and helpful. We notified him that our air mattress was leaking the first night (we did have to drive to find reception, which was clearly marked on a map our host had texted to us) He came over with a new mattress and some extra blankets. The second night was very comfortable. Extras provided included 5 gallons of water, cooking pans, utensils, disposable plates and plastic eating utensils, dish soap, bug spray, battery operated lanterns, camp chairs and board games. The water is clear and cold! There are several beautiful hikes. We enjoyed peaceful off grid time together and in nature. Side note: the creek was mid calf depth at the crossing. It would not have been difficult to drive through per se, but the inclines up out of the creek are steep and rutted. If you don't have a high clearance vehicle, you will probably bottom out. We chose to park and pack everything across. Bring your water shoes!

Weekend Trip to Route 62 Motor Resort

We had such a great experience at the Rt. 62 campground. We stayed in the Bungalow cabin with our dogs. The grounds were lovely with a lot of different activities. The jacuzzi tub was a fun addition. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay there again!
