We loved the cozy cabin, the wood fired cook stove, the beautiful river right next to it, and all of the very helpful kind staff, would stay there again and again if we could! Sauna was an especially nice feature after rafting six mile river. No running water or working stove other than wood fired one, be ready to go back in time a bit, but everything you need is just over the bridge at the main cafe building

We had a great time! It was a much needed relaxed night. The hosts were communicating well and allowed us to check in early even though we ended up not needing to, because we kept stopping for photos on our trip. This place had great hot water and amenities! Would def stay here again.

Lulu’s is an absolutely beautiful location! Sitting right on the Knik River with Mountain View’s all around. The land feels magical. So relaxing and renewed my energy. We stayed here this last weekend for our anniversary/Father’s Day. We really enjoyed the quiet relaxing weekend. Spot #1 was able to accommodate our 36ft toy hauler. Beautiful are area along side a creek. We were able to see the train go by, which we enjoyed. There was water and electric hookups at a very reasonable price. Our dogs were welcome. The camp hosts are exceptional. Very helpful .
We would highly recommend and plan on returning when possible

We had a really great time. We had spot number 4 I believe and put our travel trailer there. It was right uphill from the creek. Caught four little grayling.
Jeff and his family were very pleasant. Power, water, fire pit and a nice picnic table. Very clean, nice gravel pad and easy access to Willow.

The directions on Hip Camp to his property have to be changed- they are incomplete. Flat graveled area amidst the birch trees with water and electric. Darling family have fenced in chickens and ducks that they help you to feed and will show you the creek. Cassette toilet and outside shower stall- concrete standing base, housed in small beautifully hand made wooden building. Fee for dump, large rigs would not fit. Local bush plane airstrip near and Alaska Trains run next to property.

Great property with great views. Hard to beat being right on the river. Close to some goods hikes as well. Property is very well equipped. BBQ, pots, pans, utensils, coffee machine, hot water, shower, and clean toilets. You can also "rent" a solo stove for campfires. I say rent but it comes with a bundle of wood and starters so it's basically free. Host Lulu was quick with communication and very helpful with anything we needed. She even let us barrow a few things during our stay. Would definitely recommend staying at this awesome property.

The owners are incredibly friendly and genuinely eager to help with any needs. The gentle sound of the creek is nice. The site was level. The water and power hookup worked as advertised. Kids loved the train.
It is a bit tighter for "big rigs," but I got in with my 30-foot travel trailer. Take it slow, and don't be afraid to ask for help. I'd use a spotter, at least.
I would communicate with the owner beforehand. Depending on the site, you may decide how you enter and exit.

We had a wonderful experience at this peaceful lakeside campsite. The setting is serene and scenic — ideal for a relaxing getaway. What truly stood out was the hospitality of the hosts. They were warm, communicative, and genuinely invested in making sure our stay was comfortable. From the moment we arrived, they offered assistance, answered questions, and provided thoughtful touches that made the experience feel both personal and welcoming.
We chose to set up our own tent rather than stay in one of the on-site rental tents, and the space was perfect — flat, clean, and easy to access. We also purchased firewood on-site for only $7, and the hosts went the extra mile by including a fire starter, lighter, and materials to help get the fire going quickly and easily. Those small details made a big difference.
The campsite was well-maintained and equipped with everything we needed. Their dog, Nugget, added a fun and friendly presence — well-behaved and full of personality.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-hosted, scenic retreat with outstanding service and attention to detail. We look forward to returning and getting a chance to stay in one of their own tent for that experience! ^.^>
