There’s nothing corny about seaside camping near surf beaches, national parks, and flamingo-pink lakes.
On the southwestern tip of the Yorke Peninsula, three hours’ drive from Adelaide, is the beachside town of Corny Point. Some even say it’s the most beautiful beach in South Australia. The north-facing, family-friendly swimming beach isn't far from more rugged surf spots and excellent boating and fishing, too. There are good facilities for campers with vehicles in and around Corny Point, and more rugged bush camping options along the coast. The Dhilba Guuranda–Innes National Park, and the southern tip of the Yorke Peninsula, is about a 30-minute drive from Corny Point and offers great camping, fishing, walking, and surfing. The 200 dazzling pink salt lakes of the Yorke Peninsula are also easy to reach from Corny Point, so campers can visit on a day trip or find a campsite closer to the lakes for an overnight stay.
