42 acres just a few miles north of Cody Wy, Rodeo Capital of the World, home to world renowned Buffalo Bill Center of the West and 55 miles from the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Tent or RV sites along the hayfield. Cows are gone in the summer, but there are Llama//alpacas, chickens, horses, dogs and a cat. Great star watching at night. Occasional Aurora Borealis and falling/shooting stars. The property backs up to a State section of 640 acres for short hikes. I have one site #4 that has water and electric, no septic, There is a hydrant available for water. Please be reasonable, if you need to fill up a large amount please let me know. I now have a PortaPotty on site. I have a shed with electricity if you need to charge cell phones etc, This is my second summer with Hipcamp. I am flexible, please communicate if you have different requirements or needs. If you have a bigger group, reach out. I now have firewood available. Please plan to arrive before 7 PM. It takes longer to get here than you think.

Enjoy a true mountain town experience in the Cooke City - Silver Gate area after a day of exploring Yellowstone National Park and the surrounding high country. The property is 100' x 100', and the house is 1,050sf. Everything in this house is brand new and was completed in July 2023. A large mudroom/gear room/laundry room sets the stage for your endless adventures in the Cooke City - Silver Gate area. We've done our best to set the kitchen up with everything you could need to make most standard meals - pots, pans, baking sheets, and coffee supplies. YOU WILL NEED YOUR OWN MILK/CREAMER, which you can get at the Sinclair or Cooke City General Store, a 3-minute walk away. Sugar, spices, and cooking oil on hand. For dining out, Cooke City has several summer restaurants. Easy to get basic provisions at The Sinclair and The Cooke City General Store - actually, you must visit the General Store, it's AWESOME! You can make a full meal from what they offer, but for more variety, shop in Cody, Livingston, or Gardiner before arrival. We keep cooking oil and spices at home. Whether you are renting to work remotely, need a basecamp for a month of wildlife viewing, or want to provide your family with a unique summer experience, this house will cover your basic needs with ease - shelter, kitchen, internet, and a shower. WE DO NOT HAVE A TV. THERE IS NO CELL SERVICE IN COOKE CITY and many places in the park and to the east into WY. You will want to use "calling over wifi" to make phone calls when you are in wifi, and using this option, your phone works as normal. NO SMOKING NO PETS We built this with our own hands, just the two of us! Thousands of hours of sweat, sometimes tears, a LOT of hard work, long days, missed skiing, and sacrifices. This is our home away from home, and we hope you treat it with love and care so we can enjoy the newness of it too :)
