Sun Lakes-Dry Falls Campground loves to host humans and is plenty prepared with its 152 standard campsites and 39 utility spaces. Each campsite has access to a dump station, six shared restrooms,12 shared showers and its own fire pit. Space maxes out at 65 feet so keep that in mind before making the trek over. Oh you fancy, huh? Live the dream with the park store, laundromat, boat rentals, propane, firewood and payphone (just in case you want to go Superman on us, Clark Kent). Camp here April 15 - September 15 for better weather. After October 1, the water at sites 58-88 may be unavailable, but there is a supply available at the Contact Station.

This is a 24 acre farm with about 3,500' of frontage on the Entiat River. The land's history has included use as pasture, orchards, and flower farm. It's currently identified as a USDA type silvopasture farm. The priority crop is growing native fir trees that will be harvested in 60+ years as lumber / telephone poles. During this time, the land will be grazed by a variety of livestock balanced to keep fields and animals healthy and productive. The current owners purchased the farm fall of 2023 from a family estate that owned it since the 1970s. It is considered a legacy 25+ year project to bring it back into full production. Currently, the land is undergoing Firewise work to clear it of fallen and dead trees along with undergrowth. Knowing fires sweep this canyon regularly, the goal is to minimize fuel and support the chance old growth trees will survive and provide maximum summer shade for returning salmon. During the 2026 grazing season, the NE pasture of 5 acres along the river has 9 Katahdin Sheep. In Spring 2026, 2 bison were added into the SE pasture of 7 acres that climbs the mountain along the west border. Additional bison plan to be added later in the year along with a herd of larger meat type goats. The current Caretaker has identified over 100 native species on the property of all types. These include eagles, osprey, red tail hawks, killdeer, owls, blue jays, chickadees, beaver, martin, American Dippers, blue herons, waterfowl, bats, mushrooms, deer, elk, cougar, bear, coyotes, bobcats, and a variety of other interesting birds and bugs abound. The entire farm is very private with very little traffic if any. You may see the caretaker out and about with a helper, but that’s about it. Any of the sites that you select will typically be very private unless you pick one around the tractor shop.

The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, owned and operated by my grandparents in 1946 until my father took over in 1980 adding commercial Outfitting and Guide services by Sawtooth Outfitters. Covid put a halt on business for a few years, but we have once again opened the gates and are conducting business similar to those of the "Good Ol' Days"! With each new season brings a new opportunity and a small improvement project to continue paving the way into the future of Whistlin' Pine! The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. For the foodies, Chelan is just 30 miles south and Twisp/Winthrop is 40 miles to the North, also abundant with events, wineries, and shopping. We purchased this 60+ acre property in 2004 as an apple orchard. We still maintain 12 acres of the orchard and replaced the rest with grape vines several years ago. This peaceful location with surrounding mountains, lakes and nature will make you want to call it home. Philville is 3.85 miles from US 97 on state highway 153. Near Pateros wa., the property is ten acres and includes 3 acres of tent sites, 3 rv hookups and 3 cabin rentals. All sites are riverfront and the adjoining property is a state fishing access and boat launch used by rafters and fishermen. The site is at the very end of the popular "Black canyon" section of the Methow river. Rafting and fishing guides use this property regularly. There is ample space for boat and trailer parking. There is a winery in walking distance that offers a beautiful oudoor tasting experience. Winter opportunities include cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Nearby the recreational opportunities abound. Alta Lake is a popular tourist area only 2 miles away. 4 miles away is Lake Pateros - home to many popular species of gamefish with massive runs of salmon passing eagerly anticipated each year in summer.
