I actually stayed here for a couple of months in the early 90's and it was incredibly peaceful nearly every night. I hope it hasn't changed.

Moonflower is now a single group site and is no longer available for individual tent camping. For groups of 20 or less. Recommend booking in advance.
The site is stunning, though close to the road so there is some noise. Easy for car camping and plenty of space in the parking lot. One downside is that the site is close to a trailhead, so people will frequently, mistakingly walk through the campsite. No running water; dogs allowed.

This is one of my favorite places to camp. Its quiet and secluded but also close to downtwon Moab. It is also really close to Kane Springs Canyon and the Ice Cream Parlor Climbing Crag where there is great sport climbing. The Indian Ladder at the front of the campground is also really fun to climb.

Most amazing place I have ever camped! It was quiet, beautiful and only 10 minutes to downtown Moab and 15 minutes from Arches. No running water (bring a water cooler and fill it up in the park), a pit toilet and you have to carry all your stuff past the front parking area but it was magical. There was a ton of stuff to explore in this little canyon! Don't miss the amazing petroglyphs at the front. The campsites had plenty of trees (for hanging your hammock!) and room between them. It was a little sandy with that classic red Moab sand but that was the only downside. Bring a cooler and a jacket because the sun only shines into the canyon in the middle of the day. Walk all the way back to the little pool at the end of the canyon too!
