You heard right--set your campsite up (choose from electric and no-hookups sites) and get ready for some crawdaddy foraging at Poly Hill Campground in Ryerson Station State Park in southwestern Pennsylvania. When you’ve met your boiling point, snap on your trail cap and head over to the nearby Deer Trail for a little post feast stroll. Wash the crawdad guts off your hands in the rustic bathhouse and while you’re out and about, stop by and grab a bundle of firewood on site for later.

The enigma of Area 51 captivates a raw feeling deep in human psyche that there is more to the story than we are told. That's because there is. when you disconnect yourself from your known world is when you discover the unknown. Area 51 Landing is located deep in the old growth forest of Appalachia Mountains on the tail end of Chestnut ridge along Jacobs Creek. This is an area of many documentaries of paranormal over the years. From the Kecksburg UFO incident in the 1960s to the countless Sasquatch sightings since, Chestnut Ridge has spawned many documentaries and research for the paranormal. This our first year so there's a good bit of underbrush. feel free to bring a bow saw for your small fires and clear as much underneath would like. It's all appreciated to the greater good of nature. This camp is not easily accessible and the flow of Jacob's Creek could keep you from accessing it. You must cross Jacob's Creek by foot to access your site. Once there, you'll be transformed back in time where primitive rules and absolute tranquility abounds. Area 51 Landing is totally surrounded by state game lands so feel free to wonder and immerse yourself into a clear mountain stream surrounded by wilderness. Just a few kilometers upstream lies the remains of the first iron forge west of the Allegheny mountains. they made pumpkin balls there for the revolutionary war. Panning for gold is a very real possibility so bring your gold panning equipment and get ready for the action. There is definitely gold in them their hills. Have fun, be safe and keep your eye out for Sasquatch and the Greys!

Learn more about this land: This wooded area is 5 miles away from the Ohiopyle State Park whitewater launch area and GAP bike trail. We are less than 9 miles from Frank Lloyd Wright's Classic Fallingwater and about 8 miles from Kentuck Knob one of the last resident homes he designed (both are open for tours). Fort Necessity National Battlefield is 5 miles away. There are numerous native trout streams in the area. Youghiogheny Reservoir is 7 miles away for fishing, boat rentals, and water-sports. The Fern House is the primary camp cabin on the property. Although if someone would want to park a "self contained" camper or small RV on the property we would permit the unit to occupy the area in front of the driveway just pass the entrance gate. It is not within the ferns and is next to the road. There is an electrical outlet available at this small RV or van camper site. We are "nice pet" friendly. Dogs should not be left in the cabin alone. We have a mountain spring (when the spring is running) up the trail road (450 feet away). The ferns will normally be in full glory by the end of May to mid September and are amazing, covering the forest floor. Deer, bear, wild turkey, fox, chipmunks, squirrels and many woodland birds abound the property especially owls. A picnic table, fire ring and firewood is available on the property. Free WiFi on the property as long as the plant life is not too thick! There is a mile hiking loop right on the property and many challenging trails in the area, including the starting point for the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. No smoking is permitted in the cabin. Read the entire narrative on the cabin (Tiny Fern House) before booking.

We purchased the property as a foreclosure five years ago, and have been remodeling ever since. The property is located close to all the city amenities we love, but still gives us the privacy we wanted. Learn more about this land: The RV site is next to the house and is nearly level. (30A plug available) Road is visible from RV site, large backyard with fire pit is available. This is retired farm in the middle of nowhere. We have a lake that is stocked with trout, catfish, bass and whatever else is in there. The lake is catch and release only. Fee for fishing. This is a place for people that want to enjoy nature and not have several people camping next to them. This is not a campground with a lot of people, sometimes you may be the only people staying there. Learn more about this land: Hike in woods, basically enjoy nature. We have wooded areas and open field areas to explore. Great place to get away from the world and relax. No utilities or restrooms available. Cell phones only work in limited areas.

READ BEFORE BOOKING. WE STRICTLY ENFORCE ALL RULES. YOU MUST ADHERE TO ALL RULES OR YOU WILL BE REMOVED FORM PROPERTY BY STATE POLICE. All the sites are located with in walking distance next to the famed boat rental Hazelbakers! Our sites are on or near the Yough Riverbank. Although the train runs near by a few times a day, it will hardly be noticed while you are enjoying the beauty of the area. The Allegheny Passage bike trail runs nearby across the river. You can access it using the Layton bridge that crosses the river over our property. We have a very strict no asshole policy. If you are an asshole or plan to bring an asshole with you please go camp at the KOA. Camping is not an all night or two day tailgate party, hooping it up, drinking or doing drugs all night on your weekend off with 20 of your friends. Camping at our sites should be calm and relaxing. Other campers and people in general should not have to hear you, your music, or your fun and you should not have to hear theres. We have a strict no generator rule, no guns, no fire works, no amplified or loud music and again no assholes. Your neighbor may not like your music. If you must listen to music use head phones. Please do not leave any thing at the site when leaving and leave it better than you found it. The boat rental store sales snacks, ice and bait. It does not sell wood or large water bottles. Campers should bring water. We do not have showers but do have running hot and cold water in the change rooms at the boat rental. Port-a-pottys are near by. Please use them. Do not poop in the woods and leave your shit paper laying there. That's gross.

Play your guitar and sing until the sun rises if that makes you happy. 4. Alcohol: We would prefer you skip the drinks and just get high, but if your soul needs a drink please drink responsibly.
