Basically, anyone who loves getting off the grid and venturing into the middle of nowhere will adore the area. The weather will play a big role in how easy your trip out here is, but four-wheel drive and high clearance is necessary no matter when you visit. As long as you’re prepared for a lack of water and electricity, you’re in for a good time!

Learn more about this land: We are 20 miles east of Missoula, MT near the Kettlehouse Ampitheater in Bonner. Our location is halfway between Yellowstone and Glacier National Park. There are mountain bike paths, river access points for paddling, rafting or fishing within minutes of our land. We can even help you know where to go. Our land is surrounded by Nature Conservancy land with a public recreation easement, so you can hike and take your horse for a ride very easily, just let us know and we will point you in the right direction. Our child had a significant medical emergency that required a lot of travel to Seattle Children's and 3 brain surgeries all year, so we don't have the active garden going this year, but the chickens and sheep are happy. In a vehicle, you can pull into one of our pastures for your stay. Where you are depends on which field the sheep are eating! Tents also work in the field. We do not have any hookups. The fields are that - pasture fields. There are quiet neighbors across the fence. We are happy to offer advice about local attractions via messaging. This is pack it in, pack it out During the pandemic we ask that you wear a face covering if you have a reason to talk with us, even across the fence out of an abundance of caution since most of you are traveling from out of state. Tours are also temporarily suspended.

In addition to the happy campground, we have two lovely tiny houses, a pair of rustic cabins, and a hundred-year-old schoolhouse available for your stay. The RV Park has 10 sites with full hookups. These sites are pull through and most can accommodate large RVs. This is a dog friendly park, please keep your dog on a leash and pick up after your furry friend. Recreation Opportunities Close to the RV Park. The RV Park is within a 15 minute hike of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. The Boulder Hot Springs is approximately a 2-mile drive from the RV Park where you can soak in their pools always heated with thermal water. Fishing access to the Boulder River is a short drive from the RV Park. Access to off road recreation is approximately 2 miles going north or south. Helena Mt. the capital, is a 40-minute drive. Butte Mt. is about a 50-minute drive where you can see all the historic mining era. Boulder MT (RV Park) is halfway between Yellowstone NP and Glacier NP. Wildlife is abundant with mule deer and whitetails. Certain times of the year elk hang out in the hayfields which are adjacent to the park. Views of the mountains are very nice. Explore the Ghost town of Elkhorn 12 miles away. The Boulder Valley is an agricultural landscape, and with that comes Mosquitos. Please be prepared to handle them mostly June-July.

You can hike right off the property onto Forest Service roads and trails. Fishing and boating at Georgetown Lake. A wonderful location between Yellowstone National Park and Glaicer National Park. I'm a outdoor, horse enthusiast doglover Montana woman. I'm sharing my property because this is where I go to unwind and relax. Unload the horse,unload the dog and leave the phone in the truck. The tipi location is in the mountains and primitive road getting to the tipi. Recommend a a high clearance vehicle. Dog friendly tipi please be consider and be a responsible dog owner. Conveniently located just minutes from the Montana City exit on I-90, yet you would never know how close you are to Helena's city center and all the outdoor activities it has to offer. This property is lush with multiple walking trails to gardens and creek access. Camp spots are all level and well maintained with picnic tables and fire rings. Easy access to multiple spots on Prickly Pear Creek with fishing and wading. 10 to 20 minutes to shopping centers, schools, fairgrounds, baseball fields, and soccer fields. Plenty of room for trailers to turn around!

This five-acre oasis was once a landscape nursery. So given the close proximity to downtown we are a hidden sanctuary from the outside world, secluded by cottonwood trees and mature foliage. The site now serves as a wedding venue and offers views of Mount Helena to the South and the Sleeping Giant to the North. Learn more about this land: Pitch a tent in our aspen grove or park your camper/RV in the grassland field. You're close to downtown with lots of privacy/scenery. You'll have views of regal Mount Helena to the South and The Sleeping Giant to the North. The South Hill trail complex is a great place to explore as well as the Scratchgravels. The Missouri River is only 20 minutes away as well as Lake Hauser and Canyon Ferry. If new to the area and interested in history, we recommend the Tour Train. We also have several great breweries - our favorites include Ten Mile and Blackfoot Breweries (a perfect stop you can ride to after a trail ride/hike in the South Hills). This site is perfect for those wanting to explore Downtown Helena, it's renowned trail systems, but still sleep under the stars. Pets are allowed. Please make sure you pick up after them. There is water throughout the property that you are welcome to use for cleaning, but it is not potable.
