Johnson Guard Station

1 site · Lodging
James J. Johnson served as ranger of the Georgetown Ranger District from 1907-1913, and did something cool enough to have Johnson Guard Station named after him, where you can camp year round. Tucked away in a meadow in between the peaks of Dry Ridge and the Webster subrange in southeastern Idaho, this place is an outdoor activity lover’s paradise. Hang out with the local bears, wolves, moose, and more as you get your fill of the area’s seasonally varied, but equally awesome activities. Diamond Creek is close for fishing and good hunting if you’re into that sort of thing.
