We love camping at the waterfront sites! We were the only people there the first evening we stayed. We watched the sunrise over the intercoastal waterway and saw lots of wildlife. The facilities were clean and the campsites are in good condition. We can't wait to come back!

Gorgeous location, but it was just too buggy for us to enjoy. We were covered in mosquito bites within minutes. I’m not exaggerating. If you have someway to beat the mosquitoes, you’ll be very happy camping here.

Great and quiet place. The only negative is that the private property next to the site is being renovated and can get loud during the day but overall great visit.

We only stayed one night and will definitely be back for Two, we had a great time! There was a bit of mix up when we arrived at our site the number we booked, #2 had a tent set up on it already. I called and they apologized and sent us to #6 where they had a cancelation. It was a better view anyway. There were lots of people there but it was a Saturday so it's to be expected one group was particularly loud and rowdy even late into the night. which was a bit annoying when youre out there for a little peace and quiet. We later learned that whoever stayed at #2 loaded up and was a part of that big party group. So just beware if you go on a weekend there may be ruffians afoot LoL
Still would go back for the view and the fishing.

Nice size sights, with lots of room to spread out. Very natural area. The view every morning/ all day was great! Lots of shade, but ample area to enjoy the sun too. The kids enjoyed all the open areas to play.

Lovely shady spot on intercoastal channel. Stayed 6 days for watersports and trips to Charleston. Porta Johns and nearby showers. Water is heavy on minerals. Plenty of land sports available as well. Would return.

Wish there were better toilets closer to the camping area. Prefer compost toilets. Only complaint is that there was no water in the water stations. Also think the price is a little high.

The sites were well spaced and there was lot to enjoy about this outdoor space — with access to the water, basketball courts, pickleball, swings, and volleyball. Great place for kids for sure. PortaPots on site. Flush toilets and showers were a 5 minute walk.

Although we knew that there were no bathrooms at the campsites, the hand washing stations outside them were not operable. Even the flush toilets and showers at the conference center were not well maintained. The location of the campsites were superb so if you are self contained, this campsite is worth your consideration.

This place is absolutely beautiful!! A true corner of paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Perfectly isolated with a multitude of shops about 30 minutes away, it is the perfect place to relax and observe wildlife. Lovers of birds and wild animals will be delighted…. We saw dolphins, deer, turtles, pelicans, raccoons, etc. Well maintained and clean showers a short walk away, portable toilets on site which are cleaned weekly. We spent 10 days there and will keep incredible memories. A true corner of paradise…

This is the perfect spot for a quiet and relaxing stay off the grid. The views are amazing. I saw several dolphins swim by. There are lots of trails around the area. The campsite is nicely tucked away from the road. You only hear nature. The facilities at the site are very clean and it's only a short walk to the conference center where the showers and fresh water are. The trees give a perfect combination of sun light and shade. The afternoon breeze airs out nicely any tent or car. And dies down within an hour or two for a perfect evening. Loved this place! Will definitely come back.

Man! This place way exceeded my expectations! The place was clean. I didn’t know there was pickle ball and volleyball on site. The setting was just beautiful. We arrived to see a full moon rising right over the water. Sunrise was spectacular. We were there the first week of April and the bugs were not terrible. Just some in the morning.

This place was BEAUTILFUL 😍 one of my highlight of my roadtrip from Montreal to Key West!
Easy to find, calm and peaceful. Bathroom were clean, shower could use a bit of restauration but it did the job and had hot water, can't ask for much more 😁
Thanks to my neighbors, super friendly people, I had my first boiled peanuts🥜 I didn't know that was a thing. Always nice to get introduced to locals culture !
Apparently dolphins 🐬 comes right at the shore early in the morning, unfortunately I didn't get to experience that, probably due to the heavy rain with got that night. Hope you get to experience it !
Definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful campsite by the water! They had kayaks equipped with life jackets, volleyball, basketball, plenty of activities to do. Best of all is waking up to the calm flow of the water. Hmm…
Our first time to camp in SC and found the mosquitoes, or rather, they found us. Other campers had screened canopies. We’ll know better next, and yes, we’ll be back!

A beautiful spot! We were happy with campsite #2, which had a little more privacy while still on the waterfront. This is a great place to hang out and sleep, but if you’re like us and considering this spot for easy access to the ICW for kayaking, be aware that the floating dock is difficult to use for kayaks and not accessible around low tide. Better to take boats next door to the put-in at Buck Hall.

Bishop Jerden Conference Center is a lovely spot to enjoy a quintessential, water-centric, low country camping experience.
During our stay at Bishop Center, my husband and I pitched our tent on site #4—a lovely plot with a great view of the water and marshland scenery. The camping plot was clean and easily accessed from the road. During our weekend stay, other campers were respectfully enjoying the peaceful offering of this property with their families and loved ones. Bishop center’s wholesome atmosphere was complimented by its natural attributes which included a tranquil lake, well-maintained hiking/walking trails, and acres of wooded surroundings. This Hipcamp had something for everyone; a volleyball set-up and playground were seen put to good use by junior campers. Kayaks and other waterborne craft were, likewise, enjoyed by seasoned, recreational enthusiasts.
One of the aspects my husband and I appreciated most about this property was its ideal proximity to Mt. Pleasant and Charleston. This makes this Hipcamp a wonderful respite for locals to escape the city, or an ideal base-camp for travelers visiting the area. It’s certainly far enough away from any development to enjoy nature, but not so far out as to feel too isolated or inconvenient. We enjoyed our time here, and would unflinchingly recommend it as a place to enjoy a relaxing weekend.

We had a great stay at the camp. Plenty of trees at the site and it was petty and spacious. There is no drinking or hand-washing water at the tent camping area. There is water at the main building but it tastes pretty bad. So bring plenty to drink and wash with at camp. We filled up from the sink at the outpost- about 10-15mins away.
There are boats for use at the lake. Would have been fun to take them on the intercostal but we didn’t see anyone around to ask about the ride charts. Overall a really nice time.
