Beautiful beach and good amenities with canopy shelters. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset and close enough for day trips. The check in could have been clearer but we felt safe and comfortable.

It is one of the best spot we have stayed ever and enjoyed a lot. The owner is very very friendly, he took care of us very carefully. Parking area is well organized with Hot water, clean bathroom, barbeque area etc.
Sunset view from the beach area was unbelievable. Just woowww. We loved it a lot. I wish i knew this place is like that we can organize more days in this spot.

Waking up on a private beach was an unmatched experience. Did a tour of the island on my trip but wish I had stayed sooner because I might not have left! Clean communal spaces and beautiful location

I am a solo female traveler. David went above & beyond to make me comfortable. I had the beach to myself and enjoyed the view and beach lounge chairs. The bathroom & shower were great to have! Highly recommend. Pictures don't really do it justice once you are inside your camp area.

The cozy cabin truly was cozy. It’s a very nice caravan with kitchen and shower and toilet inside. There’s also another hotplate outside you can use. The van is set on a property behind a locked gate and leads up to a lovely beach. There’s a nice shaded area with chairs set up on the beach. We used this as a cheaper base to see the south of Oahu. If you’ve got a car this is a great place to stay. The traffic around Pearl city is a killer but it was a short drive to ko’olina beach lagoons which were beautiful. Would definitely recommend

I stayed at the cozy cube for two weeks while in Hawaii. It was a relaxing place to stay. The camper was clean and being able to walk to the beach to watch the sunrise and sunset whenever I wanted was so great! I had a few days while there that I just had a beach day in between exploring the island. It was nice to be able to just relax on a lounge chair on the beach with the nice breezes, sound of ocean waves and the beautiful scenery! Sometimes there would be local kids swimming or surfing a little ways down the beach. I threw all the beach treasures I found back into the ocean since it's illegal to remove coral, sand, & fossils from Hawaiian beaches to take home. Out of respect for the land I enjoyed finding them and taking pictures but returned them to the water before leaving.
With having no rain on the island the banana trees everywhere were sadly dried (poor things) the property was like a desert oasis sanctuary but still a nice safe area to stay as a solo female traveler. I appreciated the gated entrance and that there was a sheriff that lived on the property up front which was all assuring for safety. There were a few issues that I didn't feel were addressed very professionally but David was welcoming and his wife Allison was great to talk with. If I had any problems with the camper David was on top of it. No parking or resort fees, bonus!
Thanks for a great stay! I would recommend David's place to anyone looking for a safe, secure and quaint place to stay.

We had a good stay here! David is very nice and welcoming and was accommodating when we needed things. The sunrises are beautiful here! My advice would be to wear shoes the entire time while on this property, the beach included. If you are looking to put your toes in the sand or run barefoot on the beach, this place might not be the best for you. Tiny shells are everywhere here but so was broken glass and seaweed and those tiny thistle thorns were scattered all through the site, especially under the cover. Would not recommend the hammocks he has. They did not smell well and were covered in sand. Overall a good stay, but I feel like there is a lot of potential in this place that has not been sought out yet.

The beach was a great place for us to camp with our camper jeep. Lot of places I'ved looked at did not allow cars parked right in the campsite. The beach was amazing. David was super friendly and and was able to communicate well with him during our time there.

We truly enjoyed David's property and he was such a nice guy as well! He showed us around the property, it was spacious and clean. The campsite had everything any camper would need or want!
It was nice to have our own private restroom and shower area! We appreciated the enginuity, rusticity, and wouldn't change a thing!
Beach access was beyond beautiful and the fire pit was the cherry on top of a very relaxing birthday getaway!!

We rented both sites for 3 nights. It was really cool to have the place to ourselves. The beach was beautiful. The bathroom and kitchen facilities were superb. The campground was secure and secluded. One notable issue: There are remains of a prior construction on the site, and there is still some metal and concrete debris. My wife incurred a puncture wound which negatively impacted our vacation. She had to stay out of the water and it took a week to heal. David remedied the particular hazard. In general, it's best to wear shoes or sturdy sandals. This isn't a barefoot beach. Even with that issue, we'd recommend it, and would come back.

David was great and very helpful. The waves were too big for our 3 year old so we bought inflatable pool to put at the beach. We asked if he had anything to help blow it up and he came over with a few options. It was nice to have the fire on the beach at night. Bathrooms and showers were clean and hot and cold shower. We will definitely be returning.

David’s place was the perfect island-hop getaway van camp! We stayed for 2 days, enjoyed our Hawaii Surf Camper rental - a pink VW van! So happy we paid for the shower/restroom/propane extras that made the visit extra comfy. We were steps from the sand and could hear the waves crashing from the van at night. We love and recommend this spot but also think it best kept secret. 😉 Mahalo again David - the lanterns at night were also very special. See you again soon.

TEN STARS! Hidden gem of decadent-beach-camping delight!! I’m so grateful I found this site and stayed 3 nights (instead of my original planned 1 night). Beach is gorgeous! You have a large private cabana-like shade structure with lounge chairs, hammock, and swing chair. (This alone is worth the cost of the campsite! You can rent a day-use cabana at a Waikiki resort for $150 and be surrounded by yelling kids in a tiny pool—-or be here, chilling out in solitude and ease on your own zone of private beach paradise.) And David was amazing! He invited me to check in super early, which helped me out of a pickle. And then he went out of his way to make sure I had every thing I needed. He is very dedicated to helping his guests have easy, enjoyable stays (and as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe there!) RECOMMENDATION: Say yes to all the upgrades. I’m so glad I did. Also, David offered me the large room-to-stand-up-inside tent with blow-up mattress (and it even has a fan), and I loved it! Very comfortable, and you see banana trees out the windows. :-) And, finally, I loved that the property was tucked into a neighborhood of Hawaiian locals. . . It was a joy to look down the beach and see the occasional family fishing, swimming, and just living their lives (so calm and mellow). I hope to return again someday. :-)

Had the ultimate pleasure of staying a night in a van on David's land. It was everything I could have asked for. David was an awesome host. Shared his mangoes and gave a great tour of his layout. He has a super sweet dog too. Private beach access with a really great night time spot to have a fire and check out the stars. What a magical find!
