Felt like we were in the middle of nowhere even though we were at Sydney's edges. We camped by the lake. Great spot. Kids loved the kayaks. Especially going across to the sandy beach and bay. Facilities awesome.

We had a wonderful weekend away with the family and our dog Indie. The place itself was easy to find and the tiny home was comfortable. I personally loved that it was private! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect but we had a good stay. I was a little disappointed about a couple of things. Firstly, for the price we paid, I was expecting something more premium. They had a lovely porch but unfortunately a sewage smell came wafting through from time to time so didn’t stay for long. The area (behind) the home was a little unkept and felt like a dumping ground.
We had a bbq outside that I was keen to use but it was dirty and I didn’t have much to clean it with, I made do but it’s something I would expect. Also, the kayak’s had the life jackets thrown in one corner and paddles were missing so we went walkabout to get everything together. Once on the river it was really beautiful!!
I did tell the host we had 2 adults and a child but there was no space set up for the child so he slept with us in the double bed. Inside everything was clean and we had a few complimentary items like coffee, tea, milk, popcorn and marshmallows which was nice.
While I enjoyed the stay, I wouldn’t recommend it or go back. I would recommending going camping on site and enjoying the place without the luxuries and cost…that would be better value.

Hill Top Tiny River House
Easy and fast communication, plenty of amenities in the tiny house (it got to 35+ and the portable AC saved us!). The outdoor bath was great, and they even had bath salts for us to use. Horse was very well behaved, but our dog was a bit naughty! The house was super clean and it was such a lovely getaway. We were really lucky and it was just us - but the other tiny house and glamping tent was far enough away that it felt private even if there were people.

I was camping with a tent near the river/lake it had great views and her ponies were frequent and friendly visitors which added a lot of fun to the trip we weren't expecting.
I had a great time here and would come back again for sure .

River Camping Yarramundi
We had a wonderful experience at this open and private campsite. We booked for two nights and had a delightful time. On the first night, there was a young couple camping around 50 to 70 meters away from us. However, on the second night, we had the entire place to ourselves. The toilet and shower facilities were clean and well-maintained. We enjoyed camping by the river and having an open campfire to keep us warm during the chilly winter night. I highly recommend this campsite, as it's only a short 60-minute drive from Sydney. It offers a secluded atmosphere that allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Hideaway River Camping
Nice location on the river and not too far from town either for a coffee. Kids had heaps of fun on the river and collecting firewood. It was cold so bring plenty of warm clothes!

A truly magical camping site that was perfect for our kids' (ages 4 and 5) sense of adventure. The location itself was enchanting, featuring friendly little horses, a beautiful lake, and an abundance of wildlife. However, our experience was somewhat dampened by the host, Megan, who proved to be a horrible communicator and exhibited rude behavior multiple times prior to our stay. Thankfully, we did not encounter her during our stay, which allowed us to fully enjoy the positive aspects of the campsite.
In the lead-up to our visit, Megan's communication left much to be desired. When I inquired about the possibility of arriving at 12pm instead of the designated check-in time of 2pm, she responded curtly, stating that check-in was fixed at 2pm unless we booked an additional night. While we understood the need for adherence to check-in times, given our short one-night stay, we simply wanted to maximize our time at the campsite. A more accommodating and friendly response would have been appreciated.
Additionally, we inquired about the check-out time, hoping for some flexibility. Megan's response lacked warmth and understanding, stating that check-out was fixed at 10am without offering any alternative options or explanations. We had hoped for a more considerate approach, especially considering our stay was limited to a single night and we had young children in tow.
Despite these communication issues, the campsite itself was truly magical and we loved every second while there.

Fantastic spot, very peaceful and relaxing. Easy to get to and clean. Toilet and shower was clean. Only thing I would say is there was no soap in the bathroom, other than that it was pretty much perfect.

Loved our weekend away here. Peaceful, relaxing and beautiful area. Friendly ponies that come up to you. 2nd time we have stayed at one of Megan’s properties and will continue to return. Couldn’t ask for anything else from a camping ground.

A nice level spot right on the river, lush green grass and the 3 camp spots are nice and spread out. Generous sized fire pits provided and firewood for sale if needed.
We had a lovely quiet time in our 15ft van which got in and out with ease, plenty of space.
Megan is a great host with informative directions and check in and out was very simple. Rubbish bins provided which was handy. Best suited to the self sufficient but all in all was a great place to stay. Thanks Megan 👍

Loved camping by the autumn trees and the river in this clean and quiet spot. The kids loved seeing the 2 sheep wander nearby too. Would 100% recommend and hope to come back and enjoy again. Thanks so much Megan!

This place is what camping is all about! During our stay we were the only ones here. A large grass paddock right on a beautiful river. Ponys visiting us daily. And camp fires from sun up to sun down. We stayed here while getting upgrades done to our car close by and we couldn’t have lucked out with a better spot! Thanks for having us!!

Overall we had a great time, the tiny house was brand new so lovely and clean and the location was beautiful, although not as secluded as we were expecting, the fire pit and cute little spots to sit by the river were lovely to enjoy a nice drink at sunset.
Because it was so new though it felt like it wasn’t quite ready to be let out. There were no blinds or curtains at all, including in the bathroom (apparently they hadn’t arrived yet, but it was covered over when we asked about it), and no kitchen knives or chopping board.
The images didn’t seem accurate compared to the actual home and location / setting.
Everything else was great though and Stephen was really welcoming and helpful.

Unfortunately for what it was it was overpriced and had misleading photos on the site. Tent wasn't as secluded as mentioned and was atleast 200m away from the river. Unfortunately no one can predict the weather but it was bad having to walk through mud to get to the toilet and almost falling. Just disappointed that i had to drive that far. Atleast the camp fire was awesome.
