Welcome to Raptor Retreat, on the doorstep of Whiteman Park. It’s the perfect location if you love birds, in particular Raptors. The campsite is located at the back of the 5 acres property on solid ground. The area surrounding the campsite is farm land but beyond the fence is 4000 hectares of native bushland. Plenty of areas for bushwalking or photography. The property is home to the WA Birds of Prey Rehabilitation and educational centre. The Swan Valley is only a short drive when you can experience local wines and produce. Campers must be either self sufficient with their own camping toilet and take all waste with them on departure when located at the back of the property. Alternatively, at the front of the property, toilets and bins are available. Campfires are only permitted at certain times of the year, please check with your host before lighting a fire. Raptor Retreat
Yvonne’s Raptor Retreat was a treat! We enjoyed the animals and we were lucky enough to get a tour thanks to Yvonne. It was well situated from the airport which suited us since I was flying into Perth. Well secured property. Close to the city - basically close proximity to everything.

We couldn't fault our stay at the Raptor Retreat. Yvonne was so helpful and full of info on things to do in the area and couldn't help us more with showing us where to park up (pretty much wherever we wanted!) The kids loved the dogs and all the birds. And the price was perfect! What more could you want or need 😁

Affordable, convenient and safe. Great location close to everything in the Swan Valley. Perfect if you are fully self contained. It was very private and we would stay again!

Nice place near Whiteman park - about 300m from Pia's place. Pretty quiet, very friendly dogs and sheep as well as the raptors. A very unique place.

Yvonne eas very accommodating. The area we put up our tent was awesome. Shade for the afternoon too. Super close to Whiteman park and a few pubs. Great toilet facility too. We enjoyed walking around and seeing the Eagles. Don't leave a football out, the dog liked it a bit too much lol. Thanks for having us

Friendly greeting from Yvonne, the owner. The site is presently a car park with gate locked at night. There is a flush toilet available for use. The site is very convenient for Whiteman Park. We used it as our last stop before returning the motorhome to the depot and for that purpose we found it convenient.

Came to stay with the kids and the host was very welcoming and open. Plenty of space on the property and access to toilets is always a bonus for me! Kids were able to go and see the birds one morning and were also allowed to help feed some baby lambs. They had a great time!

Location is great to access Whiteman park and swan valley. Unfortunately the pictures did not portrays what the camp site now looks like (I like since road has changed). Grass area very over grown and piles of debri near by designated space. Chuncky road base, Temp fenced with ripped black tarp made it feel like you were more in a car paking space then on a property. Was lovely hearing the Eagle/sheeps sounds but unfortunately the dogs on the property spent alot of the evening barking and howling. I would not recommend this property to a family with young kids. Check in was a little awkward as not many directions where given and the lady how meet us on arrival didn't even know we were coming.

Yvonne was an extremely welcoming host, her dogs were super friendly, and the location of the camp was wonderful. The campsite itself just needed a bit of TLC, which I'm sure is underway - removal of piles of garden debris, building materials etc. It's got a lot of promise, but isn't a comfortable place to stay, yet.

We loved staying at Raptor Retreat! Great place for little people, has lots of space to run and is surrounded by wildlife. Yvonne is an accommodating and friendly host. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Exactly what we needed a secure place to leave our caravan to explore the area. Greeted on arrival. Polite and welcoming host who was also happy to educate us about the birds of prey. Easy access and free to come and go, Will stay again next time in Perth.

This is a fantastic location and was a perfect get away with the family. The host was lovely and accommodating. We had the site to ourselves which was amazing for a long weekend. The only detractor was the actual tent site could have been a bit more developed and level , there was a few tree roots and soft bits to look out for when setting up. This was not an issue for our camper trailer but may be for a soft set-up. Overall however I would strongly recommend this camp again. The host was great and the location was very convenient. The birds on the property made for a very unique experience. Thanks

We had a fabulous stay with our grandchildren. Not far from Perth with lots of child friendly things to do nearby. Yvonne was very generous showing the children the raptors and creatures. They’ll have many happy memories of their first trip van camping. Thank you Yvonne ❤️

Yvonne is a responsive and flexible host who offers easy (flat) camping options, clean and well kept facilities and an insight into the world of raptors. Why not camp up for awhile and visit the many great Swan Valley attractions

Amazing host with a huge amount of knowledge as a Wildlife carer, kids and had the best time learning about Birds or prey and everything involved with looking after them. So close to everywhere and walking distance to Whiteman Park can't wait to get back here highly recommend to anyone.

Unique suburban camping opportunity

Raptor Retreat
Yvonne offers a unique camping experience within a newly developing suburban area. Located on flat land, easy for set up, and bordering on Whiteman Park it offers many bushwalking / park walking opportunities. A highlight for our stay was the guided tour Yvonne gave us of the WA Birds of Prey Education Facility. We also loved having access to a clean toilet and small kitchenette, making our stay easy and relaxed.

We have a great weekend at Raptor Retreat. The host is really friendly and for sure we are come back again especially in the winter when no flies around join us camping 😂🤪🤫.

Yvonne was so accommodating. Great place to pull up the caravan and stay hitched if needed. The kids loved playing with Zara , a beautiful kelpiexblue heeler. They were also pretty chuffed to be staying where Auzzie the West Coast Eagles , wedge tailed eagle lives. Looking forward to staying again soon.
