Perfect blend of nestled away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to just about anything you could ever want to do to entertain yourself. We were even blessed with clear sky views of the lunar eclipse. Also loved the security of knowing we were behind a coded gate for peace of mind. Definitely hoping to come back some time!

Easy to access and thoughtfully themed. Blackberries were growing surrounding the site. Unfortunately, we didn't have the correct power chord for hookup, but the host did their best to help us be comfortable

Very easy to find and quiet. No problems w communicating w the host.
Super cute hideaway close to amenities. Minor issue when we arrived with the power, but it was fixed quickly and the host was super friendly. Nice and quiet. Would definitely stay again. Nice and private too.

The spot was clean and quiet. It worked great for using as a basecamp for exploring the west part of the Columbia gorge. We had enough room for our 17 ft travel trailer and tow vehicle. We would stay here again if visiting area in future.

The Shire was a beautiful place for us to park our RV for a few days. It was quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Communication with the host was excellent. Thank you for a great stay.
This location was quiet, just as described and had a nice country feel. We were able to give our dog some exercise and enjoyed the woodsy surroundings. It was nice to be close to town but able to unhitch and leave our trailer behind without worry anything would be stolen. It was reassuring to be behind a locked gate for safety.
I appreciate the location and the privacy of the site. It was great to have power available. It’s nice to have a locking gate for security when traveling away from the site for the day.

The Shire was a very peaceful place to stay. There are trees around, as well as a big open meadow. It's close to town for everything you need, but the property feels very quiet and private! I definitely recommend staying here.
We stayed at the Shire for four nights. This place is very serene with trees around each site. We found it to be very peaceful and private. So much better than staying in a huge RV parking lot! We will definitely stay here the next trip to Washington!

I enjoyed my 6-day stay at The Shire while I was visiting family in the area. . Shaynel is a great host and the site is beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend it!
I loved staying in my trailer at The Shire. It was a hidden gem, very close to Battle Ground (any store and restaurant you might need), but you feel tucked away in another world with the trees around you and the huge field across from you. It was very nice having full electric hookups, water and WiFi as well. I ended up using the AC in August, and modern conveniences are always nice when you still have to vist the real world occasionally.

Peaceful and quiet spot with water and electric hookups. A previous review caused me concern by stating it was closer to the owners residence than they expected. I found that critique inaccurate. The site is at least 100 yards from the residence and it is surrounded on three sides with thick brush and trees. We had a pleasant night's stay and the owner gave a recommendation where we could get a good meal and a beer. It did not disappoint.

This is one of the best Hip camp sites that I've stayed at. There is plenty of open space but also there are plenty of trees for privacy. It gives the feel of camping out in nature but it's also very close to Vancouver and Portland. The trees did block my Starlink a little but it was good enough for emails and I had good cell coverage for T Mobile and Verizon so this is a nice place for remote work.

Loved the camp site there was plenty of room. Beautiful view of the meadow. We had a camper at next camp spot they waved when we drove by. Friendly . The place was easy to find and was out in country but close to a town. Really super quiet! Almost too quiet for my group lol loved the beautiful view . Would recommend this camp to anyone who is traveling Washington state. Great place friendly quiet beautiful views.
We love it here. Close to visit the sights around town Vancouver Washington and Portland, Oregon.
Shaynel's are very helpful and got back to us very quickly when we had questions. We did decided to extend our stay with them. Their driveway is gated but it's very easy to come and go as you need to. There's a state park, a short distance away. You can take your trailer to empty your tanks for five bucks. It's easy.

The Shire was absolutely beautiful—lush, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning scenery. Shaynel and Ben were wonderful hosts who made our maiden voyage with our new travel trailer smooth and memorable. The strong WiFi added a touch of luxury to our glamping adventure. Highly recommend!
We did a last minute booking to Shaynel’s property and she was able to accommodate. Upon arrival we needed a code for security gate and entered no problem. The site was perfect for us, didn’t have power right away but Shaynel’s husband Ben came right out to turn on breaker. Would absolutely recommend great communication and very nice people.

The Shire is incredible! It's a beautiful drive in with a large meadow surrounded by trees. Each sunrise was nothing short of perfection. The spot is easy to park in and the hook ups are so accessible.
Shaynel and her spouse are so helpful and friendly! We deeply regretted not being able to stay longer due to other people wanting to stay here! If it's availabile, book it!!!
A great new and clean RV site. It is a little close to the house but still comfortable since Shaynel was super friendly and welcoming (even though we bombed the gate early-sorry Shaynel). This was the parking site, some of the other camps come furnished with an entire RV included, be sure to specify.
