Offering a lovely, personal campsite area surrounded by beautiful trees nestled in the back of a ranch with horses (and chickens) just on the outskirts of the small, charming town of Yelm. (In some of the pictures you will see the horses in the area of the camp, but whenever there are campers they will not be turned out there.) There is 20 amp electric (which can safely power a 30 amp rv unless you run too many things at once) and water (hose). There is a porta-potty and a shower shed with a tankless water heater for your convenience. We also offer the option of a small bunk room in the barn. Heated and cooled (fan) with a small "kitchen" area, it has a pull out futon which sleeps 2 and requires you supply your own bedding and towels. 1 Hour to Mt. Rainier National Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. There is also a fabulous movie theater. And only 15 minutes to the Red Wind Casino. There is a railroad track next to the property, but it is only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm when a short train passes by and then returns. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but not often and it has never run after dark or early morning. (It is a military train so pretty punctual). (Also, as we are only a 5 acre property, we are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. They are county roads though and not highly traveled for the most part.) **Trigger Warnings: We are near the military base of JBLM and so you will occasionally hear their military doings. Country neighbors occasionally do some target practice, so you may hear some shooting. As we are a horse property, we will also require that everyone sign a release of liability waiver and will require all adults to show legal ID upon arrival. * We require a completed profile with a picture before we accept a booking.

As we only accept 1 booking at a time, you will have the entire "Grove" area for personal use. This is a peaceful, private grove of pines with grassy areas and designated campfire pit (when there is not a county ban). 1 Hour to Mt. Rainier National Park; 1 1/2 hours to Olympia National Park; 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens; 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound. Local hiking and fishing nearby. Property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 min. drive to town with charming shops, restaurants, cafes, a movie theater, bowling and casino. There is plenty of kindling on the ground, however you must supply your own firewood or purchase a bundle from us if you have a fire. There is 20-amp electric hook up (which can typically service a 30 amp rv) and water (hose). There is a porta-potty and an outdoor shower shed with heated water (which may be shared if our Barn Bunk Room is booked). If needed you may run a generator between 7 am and 11 pm. There are horses near the camping area so you may experience horse sounds (and we feed quietly in am and pm from the barn). We keep the area well cleaned, however, as the horses use the Grove area when campers are not here, you may find a few "horse apples" in the back. There is a friendly barn cat who may visit. We have 2 well trained dogs, but they won't run free while you are here. We also have a small flock of chickens and a rooster who are cooped at night but free range during the day. Our land borders a railroad track and a short train typically only runs 2 days a week...Tues. and Thurs…one direction around 10 am and back around 1 pm. We are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic though they are not highly traveled. **Trigger Warnings: There is a military base outside of Yelm, so you may occasionally hear military doings. You may occasionally hear country neighbors doing target practice. Campsite is accessed through driveway with coded gate. We will send detailed directions by email. We ask that RV's are no longer than 40’. Leave No Trace Keep approved pets leashed and pick up after them Keep music low Read and respect all posted signs No illegal drugs, fireworks, guns or archery As a horse property, we require everyone sign a Release of Liability Waiver and all adults must show legal ID.

The Barn Bunk Room offers a step up from camping in our lovely barn on a wooded 5 acre horse ranch. The 12 x 12 room has heating and cooling (fan), a very comfy FUTON which opens to a Full size bed (MAX WT. CAN'T EXCEED 350#) and accommodates 1 person ONLY (2nd person considered upon request with guest information). THIS SITE REQUIRES YOU SUPPLY OWN BEDDING AND TOWELS. (We also offer new sheet sets for sale $20) Room has microwave inside and mini fridge (we have a few items in it) just outside your door. There is a clean port-a-potty a very short walk from barn and an outdoor shower room with hot water at back of barn. (If we have campers on the property, the shower and potty are shared.) Horses have access into their stalls inside the barn and come and go throughout the day/night. They are not typically loud but you may hear them. We come into the barn am and pm (times vary) so you may hear us feeding. As we offer a "private" camping site on the back of the property, if we have a booked camper they have private use of the back Grove area and you will have access to the treed yard in front of barn with a hammock, small fire pit and gazebo. If there is NOT a booked camper during your stay, you may use the back wooded area and its amenities. There is a friendly cat who lives in the barn. Great stay in a beautiful site

We had a wonderful experience staying at Traci and Khris's property. All the communications after we made the reservation were clear and directions and instructions simple. Traci was there to check us in and help get set up. The property is beautiful and quiet with horses and chickens nearby. We stayed there in our travel trailer while doing a kitchen remodel nearby but look forward to going back when we can relax under the beautiful trees around the firepit! Definitely recommend!!

Traci and Khris's bunk room stay was amazing! My bicycle-touring dog and I loved how well this room was set up for us during our short bicycle tour of sothern Thurston County. We will definitely be coming back again to see what it is like to bicycle-camp here during the summer time. 😁🐶

Relax amongst the trees with horses

We had a great relaxing time camping here. The hammock near the horses was great, and the forest we camped next to was beautiful. The farm dogs and cat were very friendly, and we really enjoyed having Traci and Khris introduce us to the horses, teaching us more about horses in general. The outside shower was a bonus too. We'll hope to be back.

This is a peaceful, private, beautiful spot to set up a tent. We were given clear and accurate instructions, and the owners were kind and attentive hosts. The clean, hot outdoor shower was an especially nice touch. Their animals are friendly, sweet and obviously well loved. We had a great stay and hope to visit again!

I loved camping on Traci and Khristopher's land. There's a lot of lovely space, surrounded by pines. Traci and Kris were lovely hosts. I especially loved the animals wandering around (Maple the barn cat kept me company well into the night). Would stay again.

I absolutely loved my short but sweet stay here. The property was beautiful and peaceful, and I instantly felt welcomed by the hosts. They were kind, easy-going, and made me feel right at home from the start. Unfortunately, I had to leave earlier than planned and wasn’t able to stay the whole night—but I truly appreciated their understanding and how gracious they were about it. I would absolutely come back and recommend this spot to anyone looking for a kind, peaceful place to rest.

This sweet, cozy barn room is surrounded by some pretty awesome trees. Comfortable futon, the faint sound of a rooster crowing, yet easy to sleep past sunrise. Traci and Khris have thought of everything! Dishes, microwave, teapot, extra light in the outhouse, outdoor shower, and fire pit. I felt so at home, I extended my stay and plan to return with family.

Traci and Khris are kind and lovely hosts. We really enjoyed watching them run their ranch and take such good care of their animals. If you love animals, this is the place for you. Two sweet dogs, a precious barn cat who wants all the pets and curious and friendly horses are waiting for you! The camp site itself is very large with plenty of sun and shade and lots of grassy areas to play outdoor games. The port a potty was very clean and the outdoor hot shower was a very nice treat after a long day in the sun at the river. The neighborhood is quiet and we felt really safe being behind fences and a secure gate, which is really nice. We will definitely return!

Thos is a nice peaceful and private pull through style spot that easily accomodated our 28 foot rig. Water was available and there's 20 amps of power available as well. The hosts are friendly and attentive to detail so they make sure to get you oriented and set up with whatever you need. The outdoor shower house was more spacious than an RV shower so it was a welcome plus. We visited nearby Billy Frank Jr Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge during the day which is a beautiful sanctuary, and this was a great base camp for our birding adventures.

We loved our stay at Traci and Khristopher's land! the site was at the back of their little farm, tucked just up against some massive trees that were the home to lots of songbirds. it was pretty magical and quite private. in fact, we spent almost an entire day relaxing, enjoying the light being filtered thru the trees with the sweet sounds of birds. it was the perfect medicine after a long day's drive. T and K were very nice, even reaching out when our scheduled arrival got derailed. the icing on the cake for us turned out to be the awesome shower that was available on the property! private, outdoors, and plenty of hot water. lovely people and a great spot!

My husband and I loved spending a night here! It was private and had everything we needed. Our RV fit perfect in the back area of the property which had a nice grass area for our dogs. Traci and Khris were easy to communicate with and even offered us fresh eggs! We enjoyed this spot and their animals. We are already planning our next visit! Traci and Khris are the most amazing, personable hosts! The grounds are well kept and all the animals are so sweet and friendly. Great, hot shower and clean toilet. Just a short drive from the gorgeous Mt Rainer and less than 10 mins from the town of Yelm. We absolutely loved our time here and will be back if we’re ever in town again!

We had a great time at Kris and Trish's farm over the Labor Day weekend. They have a nice set up and a good amount of shade to relax in. The site was very clean and having an outdoor shower with hot water was awesome. Thanks for being such great hosts!!

Massive Yard and Super Nice Hosts!

Fantastic hosts and site! The yard was massive and full of grass great for camping. I reached out to Kris for a last-minute, same-day booking and she was super responsive and understanding. They stayed up late to accommodate my group and were super nice and explained everything about the property. The shower is an outdoor shed but is nice and warm and is much nicer than it looks from the outside. The horses are far enough away where they don’t bother you, maybe you hear the occasional neigh. Nice fire pit with chairs and overall a great experience. Would definitely stay again on my trip between Mount Rainier and Olympic National Parks.

The back of the property is where they have guests stay. It’s all to yourself.. the huge shade trees were a bonus .. kept the trailer from getting too hot. It was high 80’s entire 4 nights I was there. And the hot shower was great! The hosts are splendid people and very hospitable 💕.. I would DEFINITELY stay here again next year!!

Great area to select your own site. Private in that you're the only one on site other than hosts, but there is some road noise from along the side of the property. It quieted down at a reasonable time so wasn't an issue. Site was accessible in our campervan, and was level. It was in a horse pasture (no horses in it, they were in the barn). Option for shower was appreciated, and firewood was available if you'd like.
