Book the yurt at Moulin des Gorges and you’ll have the top spot on a campsite in Creuse. This region of central France is a peaceful place for a holiday – or for a night or two as you head further north or south. And staying in the fully-furnished yurt makes things rather easy. It’s got proper beds which are made up for you, its own kitchen shack and a toilet and shower next door. Even towels are provided. It all means that you can eat, sleep and relax in comfort while still enjoying the outdoors and the campsite facilities – and those are not to be sniffed at.
Moulin des Forges occupies four acres on the site of a former mill. It has a swimming pool, fishing lake, pedalo, badminton and boules. And if the weather is too hot or too wet, there’s a games room as well, which adds pool and table football. Yurt guests share access to these with campers on the site’s six pitches and those staying in three gites on site. Overall, it’s a sociable site, made more so by friendly British owners, Christina and Colin.
They’ll welcome you to the site, make sure everything here is running smoothly and will point you to places to visit in the local area whether you’re looking for a meal out or a day trip. Those include paddleboarding, kayaking and swimming on local lakes like Lac d’Eguzon and visiting pretty villages like Gargilesse-Dampiere. But no one could blame you if you did nothing more than put your feet up right here at Moulin des Forges.
On its own island surround by peaceful running water our guests will be able to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of Moulin des Forges whilst staying in luxury.

Double bed, day bed and single bed can e used for your preferred configuration. Wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps.
