Cool Under Canvas offers a stylish and cosy glamping experience aimed at families, couples and small groups of cyclists and walkers. We have two furnished deluxe bell-tents, an elegantly furnished traditional yurt and two furnished safari tents. We are located in the countryside and the site sits on a rise with fantastic views across the fields to hills beyond. In the other direction, the peak of Puy de Dôme rises up on the horizon. At only 20 minutes from the national park that encompasses the UNESCO Chaîne des Puys we have a beautiful and dramatic outdoor playground on our doorstep. Hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, swimming and climbing are some of the activities all within a short distance from our siteCool Under Canvas offers a stylish and cosy glamping experience aimed at families, couples and small groups of cyclists and walkers. We have two furnished deluxe bell-tents, an elegantly furnished traditional yurt, two fabulous safari tents and a camping pitch all located in a beautiful rural setting not far from the Volcanic National Park of the Chain de Puys. We are in the commune of Miremont – the village itself with small shop is a 10 minutes cycle or pleasant 25-minute walk along a track. Further on is the leisure lake, Lac des Fades, with restaurant, aqua park, boating and fishing. We are just a 5-minute drive from the local town of Pontaumur, with supermarket, shops, cash point, Wednesday market and all other facilities. Cool Under Canvas is in the Le Pays des Combrailles in the Department of Puy de Dôme, which lies within the Region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. The Department takes its name from the spectacular Puy de Dôme dormant volcano, which is just a short drive from us. You may not be familiar with Puy de Dôme as a holiday destination, but we can assure you, it has so much to offer for a fantastic holiday: outstanding landscapes, abundant wildlife, adventurous activities, and great regional food, wine and not forgetting the locally sourced mineral water such as Volvic and Vichy.
