We had a great couple days at this “magical” site listening to the sounds of the creek and watching the animals. We stayed at an RV site but would love to stay in one of the adorable themed cabins. We will definitely come back!

An absolute gem. Great for families and couples. The owner and staff were always available for anything you need. The creative decor and lights along the stream was a nice touch. Plenty of outdoor games, loved the animals. Each site had its own firepit and grill. You can buy wood onsite if you run out. There’s a dumpster to throw your trash, washing machine and dryer. Everything we needed! We highly recommend. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us.

The Caretaker's Cabin

We loved our stay at the Magical Resorts Groundskeeper Cabin! Mary truly thought of every detail when designing and decorating each space. The beautiful stained glass, cozy bedding, fire torches, and even the dishes made us feel like we were actually in Hagrid’s cabin! Even if you’re not a Harry Potter fan, the cabin is simply beautiful and so thoughtfully done. We have two younger children who absolutely loved it—they spent hours on the swings and the play area by the water and enjoyed feeding and petting the animals. One evening we visited downtown Haynesville and had a great meal at a local restaurant. We probably could have spent more time exploring the town, but we just loved relaxing in nature. Mary was so kind and quick to respond to all of my messages. We will definitely be back!

The attention to detail was amazing. From the decorations to the fresh smell linens. Mrs. Shannon and Mrs. Amy were very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. Petting the animals was an great experience. Especially the Polynesian Cavies! We had an awesome time and will be back!

Alice's Queen Cottage

Such a great experience! The cottages were super cute, the property was peaceful, and we loved the animals and the little fairy village—it added so much charm. The hammock area was a really fun and relaxing touch. The host was kind, thoughtful, and very understanding when we had to leave earlier than planned. Everything was clean and cozy, and we truly enjoyed our time there. If I could make a small suggestion, it would be to add a few towel hooks for after showers and maybe clean the AC units or consider fans for better airflow. Other than that, everything was perfect—we’d happily stay again!

We keep coming back!! We love this campground and the staff. Always a great trip!! I love the relaxing atmosphere the first sound of the stream is my ahhhhh Visiting the sweet animals in the petting zoo is always fun. Super cute cabins for those who don’t do tents or RVs. Very imaginative, clean and full of surprises. The bathhouse is immaculate!!!

Alice's Queen Cottage

I really enjoyed my stay here! The campground is quiet, peaceful, and has a unique charm that makes it feel special. The rental was well stocked. Also, the owner was friendly and welcoming, which added to the great experience. The only thing I’d mention is that the air conditioning unit could use some cleaning or maybe an upgrade, and having a ceiling fan or two would really help with air circulation. Other than that, everything was great — I’d definitely stay here again!

Ms. Shannon’s Magical Mountain is a true gem of Western NC. My family enjoyed the “Mad Hatter” creekside RV campsite and spent most our time playing in the creek or nearby playground The camp and facilities are very clean and well-kept, and the staff and fellow campers are super friendly and welcoming. This place is truly magical, and if MarchHare is open.. BOOK IT! Our kids spent all their time running in the grass, playing in the sandbox, petting the animals , playing in the creek, and lounging in the hammocks. We enjoyed having the sound of the creek right beside us, and the swings that are right by the water. All the little details make this place amazing.

We had an amazing time!! We tent camped and it was such a cute place and the people there were so nice. Our first night we weren’t able to get firewood and one of the ladies noticed and brought us some and helped us start a fire and marshmallows!! The owner was very friendly and helpful! We loved the animals and it was a very clean and cutely decorated!! The river was beautiful and we loved the swings by the river. Definitely would come back!!

We absolutely LOVED Magical Mountain Resorts! The entire property was fun, clean, and well-kept. The attention to detail that was provided all throughout the property was incredible. The dozen or so petting zoo animals were enjoyable and their paddock was kept so clean. The creek and the decorations, games, sandbox, and swings around it were so delightful for our young children who played until well past dark each night. The bath house was always in beautiful order. Truly could not have had a better experience and we will definitely return here whenever we make it to this part of NC again!

This place was the most incredible campground we have ever stayed at! The magical setting, the crystal clear stream, the incredible fire globe, themed cabins and the sweetest host and rescue animals!! We felt like we stepped into another world and loved it so much! Around every corner, day and night, is a new delight to surprise you. All spaces are super clean and every detail is beyond creative and sweet. Don’t hesitate to book your trip solo or with a group of friends. You will not be disappointed. We enjoyed Lake Chatuge and Laughing dog brewery nearby as well if you want to venture out, but you will have plenty of magical sights to see at the campground if you decide to stay put the whole time. Thank you so much for an incredible time! We can’t wait to come back🩵

We loved Shannon’s Enchanted Forest! We highly recommend stay at Magical Mountain Resort, The Enchanted Forest. We booked the Alice’s Queen cottage and the White Bunny cottage, which are side by side. Everywhere you looked inside and outside of the cabins, there were details about the theme of each cottage. The fairy garden, the swings, hammocks, the river, the beautiful fire pit, games, the animals everything was an amazing experience for our kids and us too! Not mentioning the other cabins and the Midnight bus tour we took…

We camped there our last night of a week long camping trip. All the staff was super nice and we even got a tour of some of the cabins, Mary has put so much work into this magical place! Our group had so much fun and even got to meet the adorable goats, horses, donkey, and pigs! Facilities are all very nice and clean. We loved the swings by the stream and the solar powered fairy lights at night!!

An amazing wonderland trip. Such a unique and beautiful campground. The host is super friendly and allowed my children to help feed her animals daily which meant a lot to my son. My children hiked up the mountain daily and saw interesting plants, rocks and a little waterfall. The decor and the vibe is beyond family friendly. I will definitely be back to check out the candyland cabins.

This is the campground is absolutely amazing! Shannon has obviously put her heart and soul into giving her guest a most magical experience! From the time you pass the 6 ft tall mushrooms at the entrance you will find a clean well kept mix of truly magical themed cabins, a petting zoo with the sweetest mix of lovable animals, an activity/game area with something for everyone. Y'ALL! If you've never heard of Magical Mountain Resorts, The Enchanted Forest you're thoroughly missing out! Words and pictures can not explain how magical this place is! You can rent Hagrid's cabin, the Harry Potter double Decker bus, two Alice in Wonderland cabins, Snow White's cottage and two Candyland Cottages. Plus RV/Tent sites. The care and effort that Shannon and her people put into this place is absolutely ridiculous! I can't tell you how accommodating these people are. They've really created such a magical place. If you have kids, you HAVE to check this place out! 🍄 🐰 🪄 ✨
