Great views
Beautiful views of the other mountains and the Bitterroot Valley. There were clean bathrooms on site and an RV outlet with the Stargazer Pad. Donald was an on-site helpful host and very flexible with times.

Beautiful views of the mtns and Bitteroot Valley. Plus an electrical RV hook up was a bonus! There are clean bathrooms on site as well. Donald was very nice and onsite for any help or questions.

Dark Skies Glamping Tent
A beautiful peaceful place to camp. We stayed in the glamping tent but realized we would have been more comfortable in our own tent as the mattress was cold and made a lot of noise when moving.

Dark Skies Glamping Tent
Sorry Donald, but I am a camp host myself. I thought your glamtent and the area was unkempt. Break out the lawnmower and the weedeater. Put a solar light at the tent. The area around the shower needs straigtening and weed eating, it's not very private. I only have 10 sites but get many compliments for clean restrooms and neat campsites.

Tent camping at Dark Skies campground was great! Donald was very accommodating. He set up a solar shower for me, the site had easy access, and there was potable water and a pit toilet on site. The facilities were very clean. I would stay again.

Dark Skies = Amazing stars!
We loved our time at Dark Skies!! And dark skies indeed, we couldn’t stop staring at the stars. Gorgeous!! Our hosts were wonderful, kind and willing to offer any help/suggestions etc. They really helped us make a weekend great for a Junior Camper!! We’re locals and will use this site again for our staycation. It was beautiful, the tent is Made in Montana, the fire pit is perfection and the cherry-on-top is having bathrooms!! They are clearly working on building an amazing venue and experience. Much praise and thank you for your kindness and great space.

Starry Nights
Don and Christina were wonderful hosts. They greeted us upon arrival and had an amazing set up on their beautiful property! The Stargazer RV Pad had power and bathrooms. The sky at night is amazing. We originally only planned to stay one night but booked a second to stay longer. While there we drove by Chief Joseph Ranch and snapped some pictures of where they are in process of filming the mini series Yellowstone just outside of Darby and also drove a couple hours to the abandon ghost town of Bannack to tour the remaining buildings of the once thriving gold rush town in the mid 1800s. I wasn’t sure how our 8, 6 and 5 year old kids would do but they loved it. We have been on vacation for a week now and have stayed in 4 different campsites and we all agreed that this was one of our favorites.

Quiet and peaceful
Our 2 days stay was very pleasant! Don and his wife were super nice and helpful with us, the property is a place full pf peace with beautiful views of the mountains and we got to had an spectacular sunrise the day we left. The facilities are brand new and very clean!

Little Smith Creek Ranch is the quintessential Hipcamp spot! The setting is stunning, the ranch is peaceful and quiet, and Donald is a friendly and welcoming host. I would definitely stop here again if I pass through Victor again.

Awesome night under the stars!
We had an awesome stay at this camp spot. The tent was awesome the fire pit was awesome the outdoor restrooms and the water source was awesome. The stars at night just being out in nature was amazing. We were a little under prepared and needed to bring a better sleepy bag but will be prepared next time.

Dog’s dream
Our dogs loved this site. They had more things to smell and explore than hours in the day! While they enjoyed finding sticks in the creeks that meandered through and near the property, their humans enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains and valley. There were deer that hung out nearby and cows in the neighboring field. Although there were other guests on the property, we had plenty of space and never ran into those guests. The hosts were quick to respond when we wanted to fill up our water tank before parking on the pad. There was an electrical outlet at the back of the site but we had to fill up water a short distance away. There was garbage and recycling close to the site.
They have built the nicest outhouse right by the site. It had 2 pit toilets and an outdoor sink with running (not potable) water with soap. I never saw the other guests using it but there is a glamping tent across the field from us. They would need to walk right by our camper to use it.
We did not expect to be right next to a huge event tent set up for weddings. We were assured that they would not rent our site if there was an event!
There wasn’t a picnic table or fire pit at the site. We asked for a fire pit and they had one that was easily moved to our site. Dry firewood was available a short distance from the site. We loved to space we had to enjoy nature. Despite having others on the property at the same time, we (and the dogs) were given space and freedom to explore.

Quiet, gorgeous glamping
My friends and I loved this spot. The tent was clean and so cozy. There was firewood, a picnic table, comfy chairs and a clean bathroom.
The view was gorgeous and the area was quiet except for a brook and bird song.

Hilltop Hideaway
Camping with a view!
Donald’s land is one for the Hipcamp books! He and his wonderful wife, Christina, were the most welcoming and kind hosts I have ever had the privilege to meet.
They supplied firewood, a fire pit, water, & a picnic table and at any time I had a request or a question they would greet the situation with a smile and a solution.
Hands down, one of my favorite camping sites in my young life I would definitely recommend to a family or friend.

Fantastic hosts with a million dollar view! Great RV pad. Easy to get to for big rigs (our 5th wheel is 42ft and 13'6" tall.) Water and sewer are not available at the site but they do have options for long term stays or as needed.

feels like home on this ranch.
The Stargazer RV pad was just that; a great place to gaze upon Montanas Big Sky. Our host welcomed us gracefully, gave us the run of the land and then gave us privacy. your surrounded by mountains and a 100 year old apple orchard that gets its fair share of wildlife visitors. the property is vast and sprawling with much to explore. plenty of deer and other critters roaming this land.
Bathrooms were nice and clean, and we had everything we needed for a great nights stay!

Great little place with an awesome view of the valley. The road up to the site is a bumpy one, but doable if you have decent clearance. There is running water down at the main entrance to the property which is nice. Other than that it’s just you, the neighboring cows and the occasional deer!

Perfect Stay! Beautiful location!
Don and Christina have a beautiful little ranch that’s perfect for quiet camping in an RV or tent. We stayed at the RV pad for 8 nights and we loved it. Power for A/C, wifi, and access to water made the site super convenient without the crowds at RV parks. Abundant wildlife made our stay very enjoyable as well. Don and Christina are incredible hosts and very personable. I highly recommend their great little Hipcamp location!!
