We booked through the Hipcamp app and received confirmation and instructions from the owner. On arrival, the access code didn’t work and no one answered the phone. A gentleman at the property told us the site wasn’t open yet, and after some confusion (and showing proof of payment), we were eventually allowed to stay, which we appreciated.
The facilities, however, were disappointing. The showers were small cubicles with curtains, and the toilet area was only separated by another curtain, offering very little privacy if there are another campers. The water temperature kept fluctuating between hot and cold, and the shower head was fixed directly toward the face and could not be moved.
There were no kitchen facilities at all, not even a basic sink, which made things difficult for camping. We were informed about this prior the stay but it just isn’t suitable for camping.
Although everything was clean, there were only four showers for the whole site. Overall, we are grateful we could stay but we wouldn’t book here again.
