Great area! Quiet, sheltered, beautiful. Everything was well maintained and there were no surprises. Would recommend.

Silent Nature Bliss awaits…
My husband and I absolutely adored every aspect of this perfect escape to pristine silent nature bliss! It was beautifully tucked away with forest coverage all around, mushrooms abound, and sweet gracious Amy to welcome us to her land. Her 1/2 wolf pup also gave us a snuggly greeting! By far , our most magical camping experience yet!
Sherwood Creek Campsite
Pretty but rude host, bad direction
Amy's site is beautiful, and there are (seasonally) raspberries and blueberries on the hills around. There is a portapotty nearby for use, and she provides local roadside spring water in camping jugs next to the portapotty for hand washing and drinking(?).
Cons? The site had a bit of trash (we picked up an old whiskey bottle, and the fire ring was full of toilet paper?), the portapotty was extremely smelly and the smell wafted all the way to the tent site. The tent pitching spot is not level and is coarse mulch. Definitely have a footprint to protect your tent floor. In the dry season the tiny creek is not one you can bathe in, so bear that in mind. The biggest con for us, honestly, was that Amy was pretty rude. Her directions to the campsite don't make a lot of sense, and when we called her to clarify she was condescending rather than helpful. She repeated her rudeness when we finally found it by saying, "if you ACTUALLY READ the directions it works fine." But there are several forks in the road and turns not mentioned on her directions.

Sherwood Creek Quaint Treehouse
I stayed at the treehouse for 5 nights. It was the perfect getaway after dropping my daughter off at CU. Although it’s not secluded by itself, it feels like it is, as it’s nestled in the creek bed. Trails to Mud Lake and Caribou Ranch are accessible without having to jump in the car. The spring water was delicious. Amy was very responsive and checked in to make sure we were warm enough. I could have stayed much longer!

Great camping site! Amy’s land was beautiful and the creek was very nice to fall asleep to. Her sweet dog even came to say hi a few times! Thanks for having us!

Sherwood Teepee
This was a wonderful location and place to say. I will say the tipi is not sealed so rain did get in and there were bugs and mice at night. Other than that, it was an excellent stay and very cozy. It was nice to camp but have everything set up for you and it made packing up so easy! The host was very responsive and kind and made sure to check in on us when we ran into each other. Overall was a wonderful weekend!

Amy’s tent site is great. It’s quiet, private, and in a great location. There’s a great picnic table, a well-built fire ring, and a clean porta-potty very close by. We will be back next summer for sure!!

What a fun place to stay! Treehouse was perfect for our family of four, bonus with the trampoline for the kids to enjoy. Host was very nice and accommodating. Also a perk to hike on their land a bit. We’d come back again!

Remote and peaceful
This was a short stay as I was fishing most of the time but worked out great. Remote and peaceful but still only 20 min from a great pizza place and brew pub. What’s not to love!

Fairy Treehouse
The treehouse was cozy and fun in a little wooded site with a fire pit, picnic table, and a trampoline. You are definitely camping at someone's home; there was a lot of activity and vehicles around. The camp dog is a sweetie who will gladly clean up your dropped food and she will keep you safe from critters at night. A Porto potty and potable water is provided.
There are no activities at the site, but it's a quick drive to Nederland and nearby outdoor activities.
Sherwood Teepee
Lots of awesome amenities
Really amazing place to stay. Teepee is very cool, campsite is great and the treehouse is cute. They also have a trampoline on site. You’ll need to be comfortable with bugs if you stay in the teepee.

Unique forest adventure
The treehouse was an adventure to thrill our teenagers. It’s small, as a treehouse should be, but we fit fine. There’s a spot for a tent as well, a trampoline and picnic table. It’s all in the woods and will definitely be a memory for years to come.

Super quiet and comfortable.
The campsite was awesome! Secluded from the house and other sites with a leveled off pad for a tent, picnic table, and fire ring, it was like staying in a campground. There was even a clean porta potty and wash station a super short walk. Planning to come back

Excellent time at the treehouse!
This was a terrific, very peaceful spot! We had a great time here with two kids. There is a lot to explore right by the site, and lots to do in and around Ned. Amy was a wonderful host with lots of good ideas for what might be fun for our kids.
The treehouse is fantastic, rustic, and a great respite from a tent(!). It would sleep up to four, but would be better if one or two of those are kids. The trampoline was a ton of fun. There is a teepee, also offered on HipCamp, just a few meters away (but still feeling somewhat isolated). Would be fun to reserve them both and travel with another family next time. The “babbling brook” was such great white noise at night (very early July), but we gather it will be mostly/all dried up by August.
Caribou Ranch is 5 minutes away— but closed until July 1 annually. So beautiful. Ned is also very close (8-10 minutes). The Knotted Root brewery had live music the weekend we were there. Crosscut, a pizza spot, is well-worth a visit.
Keep an eye out for Nuka, Kim’s husky(?). She is so sweet; our kids— who are a little dog-shy— loved her. We had a wonderful time and will definitely aim to be back!!

Camping in peace
Excellent campsite and experience. The location is quiet and very relaxing. Listening to the trickle of the creek was a pleasant bonus. If you have a large or oversized tent you might find that the tent pad is not level, but it's tolerable. The owner's dog was super friendly and followed us on a local hike one day. Definitely recommend.
