Overall we had a bad experience. Unfortunately, the site was way close to a few other tents and didn't feel as private as we expected. Also, other people camping there created a mix up with our site. Once we arrived someone was in our paid spot and that person (not a staff) TOLD us to move to their spot, of course we didn’t want any issues and we simply we go to their original spot and someone is there already, and they shouldn’t have been there. The people that were in the wrong, were upset and it just left an unpleasant taste in our mouths, since they were literally right next to us. This mix up cause by these people was totally avoidable and I had to communicate with the campground via phone about what was going on - she did apologize but that doesn’t sit right with me. I paid for a spot and no other camper should tell others where to move to. In the ad for this site it clearly states there is “no service” luckily my phone worked otherwise it really would have been a situation where we wouldn’t have a place to set up our tent unless we hijacked another empty tent site, which we wouldn’t of but just saying. Neway, there is no staff present and basically the sites are up for grabs regardless of which site you pay for or which was assigned to you. Toilet was clogged since early morning like 5am and no one went out to fix it for hours and we left at around 10am, and it was still clogged. No activities or “fun” stuff going on at the campground. Just left much to be desired.
We loved SoCal Campground. We stayed for 1 night with a tent. Spots are well mapped, though we didn't get full instructions on our spot number at first. Every spot has a water hose and a fire pit. Make sure to drive from the right side as we ended up coming through the bumpy road and good that we had a Jeep;) Overall highly recommend, great place for a short camping stay with kids and friends.

Beautiful area, super chill. Love the trailers they have also
we have a new puppy and our reservation at caspers didn't work (no dogs?!), we scrambled and found this place on short notice, very remote and peaceful, only issue is hard to find so screenshot the map as your gps will go out before you arrive :)
No wifi and no way to cancel your reservation or get a refund. I refuse to give it any more of my time and money.
Will not ever recommend this place or service...

Great sites in a beautiful area. About 30 minutes from everything, but feels like a paradise. Surrounded by orchards and farms, hiking trails, and a scenic drive. Will definitely be back!
Went tent-camping. It was beautiful and secluded, surrounded by native plants and a lot of local wildlife, great escape from the city. Stars were great. Some sites are in full sun and some are well-shaded. Hot showers and clean flushing toilets. NOTE: we had a 4WD truck and the North De Luz route was fun (rough but no airing down needed), but if you have a 2WD sedan, take the South De Luz route.

Absolutely love this place. This was our 2nd trip here. Love that we get to here camp pendleton all night sounds of freedom. This place has a great vibe. We will definitely be coming back for a 3rd trip😁
Great trip with friends and family this weekend. We really appreciate how clean the bathrooms were, and how our campgrounds were well maintained. The fire pits are in good location and condition, and it was cozy throughout the night. Despite getting caught in a heat wave there were areas under the trees for us to hang out at until it became cooler. Overall this was a great quiet spot to spend time at without being close to neighbors.
Sharing this review so others don’t get fooled by the reviews.The dirt road into the property is terrible and It will break your car, destroy your camper and cause irreversible damage to your back. When we reached there were no clear signs of which space was reserved and electric points were shared between several sites because the camp had sealed most available electric points. Despite their first come first serve, someone overtook our electric points and we had to move our entire trailer in the middle of our stay to another spot. There are only two toilets on the entire property and one was kept locked. The one toilet was shared by everyone at the site, with lines outside. The toilet was dirty and my husband had to fix the flush several times The showers trickled and we never got hot water to shower. The dogs at the property barked all night and made it difficult to get any rest at all. We spoke to the caretaker her reply was she would let the owner know and no help was provided. When we asked for a number/email of the owners on our way out to provide feedback, the caretaker said,”Please leave the review directly.the owners are more likely to see/respond to those messages.” This makes me feel the no one in the system cares about your basic well being while you are out at the campground. There are many others that are way cheaper, prettier and will give a damn about your inconveniences. They have certainly lost my business and that of my friends and family.

Stayed with with my 2 boys. Get an amazing time. Love the location and the vide. Would suggest coming with a travel trailor or any trailor the 1mil stretch of dirt road is pretty wild but we Loved it😁

Info stated that the dirt road leading to the site can't be used in wet weather. It was washed out from recent rains, but dry and 80 degress for 10 days prior, with many gullies filled with deep ruts, causing our 26' trailer to be twisted and bottom scraped, causing damage to the stabilizers, awning and drop-down steps - all bent and ruined. $3500 in repairs!

So Cal Campground was perfect for us! We were lucky to be the only campers there in early December 2025. The facilities were perfect since we were from out of state, and needed a clean facility to get ready for a wedding we were attending several miles away. It was much more memorable than a hotel room. Thank you.
Nice, remote area that provided us with the spot we needed on our trip. Good bathrooms and a quiet night.

We loved camping here! We backed into lot 16 and had a great view of the grounds and mountains around us. The site was clean and spacious. The bathroom facility is wonderful! It was generally a very very quiet location with the exception of occasional noise from neighboring private properties, but that is no fault of the owners of SoCal Campground. We are excited to come back again!
The campground was very clean and the bathrooms are spotless. We camped in spot 17 which was up higher so had wonderful views.

The spots had plenty of space and running water to wash dishes or put out the fire. The bathroom + showers were a favorite of the kids. They are in the early stages but it’s shaping up to be a great place.
Way out of the way, so it was a very long drive to reach the location. Unfortunately not a great camp site for RVs. Site was not pull through and my electrical could not reach. Overall, given the long drive and disappointing site I’d not recommend it.
It is not very green - virtually all dirt. And a power line goes right over the property, which ruins the camping vibe.
My daughter and I went camping for the night last Saturday. The bathroom was nice and the campsite (#16) was big and private. Overall, our stay was good and we will be going back.
Nice communication prior to arrival and once on the grounds. Very peaceful and bathroom amenities were a great bonus!
I’ll return for sure! It’s a nice place to camp with a group of friends,
The ‘bumpy’ road is CA style and no problem :)
If going in hot season, bring a pop-up umbrella or tent as many of the sites don’t have shade, but they are all great.

Stay was great. We stayed in campsite 8 everything was peaceful. The site did have a lot of fox tails, ants and soooo many flies. We are out in nature so we are aware of this. Done better prepared than we did and bring a fly cover for your food and canopy with mesh. Bathrooms were clean and very convenient.
This is a great campsite. Very clean with bathrooms and showers available. Alyssa and John were very helpful. We would completely go back.

Easy to access and quiet! Bathroom was also very well kept. Many of the sites of an outlet hookup as well for RVs which is very convenient! Would recommend!

It’s the second time at this camping facility. We love it. It’s remote, but not too remote. Some spots have shade and others doesn’t, so mornings can get hot in the summer. Love the beautiful green views from the higher spots, and the owner seem to work on improving the camping by time. The bathrooms with soap, hand dryer and showers were upgraded our last stay. Overall a good spot. Someone wrote there here a lot of flies but we didn’t notice it. A lot of mixed birds and some other wild animals though.
