This was our second time staying here, and it was even more special than the first time.
Every second is something to cherish.
Hosts are lovely, warm and very welcoming. Facilities are outstanding, with communal kitchen and games rooms with had a pool table, air hockey and the means to play table tennis.
The pod was warm, comfortable and homely. We cannot wait to stay again. Perfect getaway.
We had a great stay in the Wye Pod at Great house farm. Communication was fab and super speedy! All info was sent over on email before our stay and made it very easy for checking in. The pod was cosy and clean, as well as the hot tub being the perfect temperature for arrival. The views are amazing and we all wished we could wake up and use a hot tub with that view everyday! the animals are all cheeky and fun to watch, my favourite was the donkeys! We had a really great dog friendly stay and would defo stay again! The only thing we wouldn't have minded more of was the tea, coffee & sugar. Otherwise a stunning stay!
Really nice and peaceful place that is clean and well maintained. Would definitely return! The hosts are lovely and incredibly accommodating. What a brilliant location!
My only gripe is with another guest, but there’s nothing the hosts could do to stop this. Essentially another guest that was blatantly a male (nice enough as a person) was using the women’s toilets.
Numerous times my partner went in with my 8 year old daughter to be met by him in the loos. I know it’s the way of this mad world at the moment, as people can identify as an orphaned penguin. But if my daughter had gone in alone, this could have been a potentially dangerous situation with someone that is obviously mentally ill. I have no idea how this can be managed and prevented though without unnecessary cost.
Anyway, this doesn’t affect our opinion of the venue at all. Brilliant break and a much needed period of no devices allowed for myself on my family.
Thanks again.
The pod is located in a private farm and felt like a little escape from the rest of the world. The view of Woolacombe bay from the pod is stunning and if you're lucky with the weather, the sunset view is incredible too. The pod is well equipped and spacious enough for 2 adults and an infant (we were able to fit a travel cot inside too!). Would highly recommend this to anyone travelling to the area!
We had a lovely time in the Irfon pod, everything was exactly as described and our hosts were wonderful. The animals, who were very cunning and hatched their escape were so delightful and really made the trip special, I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a break from city life and some time around friendly farmstock (I wish I could have taken your goat home)
Great place to stay away from everyone good views great host xan walk to the beach and caravan sits for food not far just a wonderful place to go for a break to get away from everything love it there
A lovely secluded location, perfect for some chill, quiet time away from business of life. Also a perfect base camp from which to easily explore beaches, coast paths and much more!
We had the most wonderful time at Tan-y-Capel Hideaway. It is stunning in every single way. The views are never ending! Rebecca and Dave were such welcoming hosts, going above and beyond to make us welcome and give us all the local information so we could make the most of our time there. A trip to the Ty Coch Inn is a must, set on a National Trust beach. I will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend a trip
Absolutely stunning location with beautiful views from our pod and hot tub!! Pod had everything you could possibly need and more, we found it comfortable for me, my husband and teenager. Really enjoyed watching the animals grazing and loved seeing the Pygmy goats!
We loved our John's pods. They are just perfect. A beautiful and peaceful spot with amazing views over woolacombe Bay. The pods are extremely well done, perfect for a couple. Very clean, cozy and well laid out. Bbqs with sunset listening to the birds and cows was magical
Really enjoyed our stay in Poplys. The podcast was comfortable, warm and well equipped and the whole site was pretty and well thought out, with a good "amenity hub" which is particularly useful in inclement weather.
The only slight issue we had was we found the temperature of the showers to be inconsistent and they seemed to start off warm but quite quickly get much colder.
It should also be noted that the owners' dogs are free to wander the site which may be a concern for people who are nervous of dogs: one of them made my daughter and I jump when it appeared from the veranda of our pod as we returned one night from the bathroom (although it was perfectly friendly) and the other dog, which was more nervous, was by our car on two occasions when we wanted to access it and barked at us as we approached the car - it did back off when we got closer but some people might find that unnerving.
Overrall we had a lovely stay and I'd be happy to return and also to recommend it to others.
We had a great stay in the pod! John was very helpful and quickly responded to any questions, and he’d even left scones for us when we arrived. The pod was well equipped with everything we needed, from towels and shampoo to a bbq with coals and utensils. Check in process was super easy and the pod was very clean and surprisingly spacious. The views were so pretty and we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely come back again!
