Weekend Trip to Celtic Woodland Holidays
This was our second time staying here, and it was even more special than the first time.
Every second is something to cherish.
Hosts are lovely, warm and very welcoming. Facilities are outstanding, with communal kitchen and games rooms with had a pool table, air hockey and the means to play table tennis.
The pod was warm, comfortable and homely. We cannot wait to stay again. Perfect getaway.

we went camping in nic and leighs site and it was beautiful, we was the only ones on the camping site but either way it was peiceful and amazing facilites including the comunal fiepit. my kids and my dog loved the area and rubnibg through the trees. the toilets,showers ,game room, the park and the kitchen, was amazing. will 100% be comming again and recommending to others. amazing place to be

We loved the ethical vibe of this campsite. Walks around the woodland and on site organic veg were a huge bonus. Every land owner should have a holiday here to see how things should be done. A perfect place to get away from modern life.

I absolutely loved staying at Menter Y Felin Uchaf camping site over the recent August Bank Holiday. The site is characterful with beautiful views. I particularly enjoyed the tranquillity of the site which made for a truly relaxing break.
I happened to be staying when a storytelling evening took place and this was a highlight of my stay.

Really great campsite! We pitched our bell tent in the woodland where they have only 5 spaces available. I loved staying in the woods rather than in an open field. The lighting at night was magical and the facilities were fab which you only share with the 5 pitches on site so we're never crowded. We listened to the owls at night and ravens by day (my favorite bird so I was really chuffed). We used the pizza oven but unfortunately didn't get time to book the sauna - next time! My 3 kids loved the play area and tried really hard to stay up late enough to use the star gazing chairs. Location worked really well for us, we headed to the beach on the west coast, did the 4 waterfalls walk and the show caves too. We would love to try the treehouse next time, it looks epic! Thank you for a lovely holiday! It was our first visit to Wales and we'll definitely come again.

The meadow camping at Menter Y Felin Uchaf is brilliant. Each small pitch is cut into high sweeping meadowgrasses. Meaning you can just about see the neighbours but are pretty well secluded.
NIce communal firepit with solar lighting. ( firewood and kindling available)
Dark Skies !! almost no light pollution saw the milky way very clearly.
Good location for end of the Llyn beaches or walks

Loved Pitch 4. We had two small tents and we still had plenty of space. We had the benefit of getting a shade from the hedge behind our tent. Overall, a great experience at Felin Uchaf. We had the perfect weather for the weekend. Facilities such as toilets and hot showers were great. Plenty of things to do around the area, cafe, beaches, and beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend this campsite!

Really nice and peaceful place that is clean and well maintained. Would definitely return! The hosts are lovely and incredibly accommodating. What a brilliant location!
My only gripe is with another guest, but there’s nothing the hosts could do to stop this. Essentially another guest that was blatantly a male (nice enough as a person) was using the women’s toilets.
Numerous times my partner went in with my 8 year old daughter to be met by him in the loos. I know it’s the way of this mad world at the moment, as people can identify as an orphaned penguin. But if my daughter had gone in alone, this could have been a potentially dangerous situation with someone that is obviously mentally ill. I have no idea how this can be managed and prevented though without unnecessary cost.
Anyway, this doesn’t affect our opinion of the venue at all. Brilliant break and a much needed period of no devices allowed for myself on my family.

This is a special place.
The people behind this site and the Felin Uchaf centre have worked hard to create a place of calm, friendliness, community, and beauty. Not only is the camping ground exactly what you need, with easily accessible facilities and communal spaces, there is also a real attention to ecological detail. Wildflowers, blackberries, thistles and more surround you in the peace and quiet.
The centre and all of the associated buildings are magnificent. True embodiments of culture and care, gorgeous to be inside and walk around. The garden, growing chard, sweet peas, garlic, onions, kale, and more is beautiful and the ducks are a lot of fun to watch. If you do stay here, please walk the nature trails that criss-cross the site, because you might come across some hidden gems like a trio of tree-built swings or an observatory beautifully decorated to mark the passing of the months.

A beautiful and peaceful campsite. The facilities were very clean and well built. The pitches nicely spaced out and with tall meadow grasses and flowers in between which added a layer of privacy and nature immersion. Unfortunately we couldn't make the story telling in the round house, but popped in for a look and what a cool space! The onsite cafe did delicious fresh food and great coffee. Would definitely stay here again, thanks!

We’ve stayed twice and love this campsite with pitches nicely spread out lots of nature to explore with kids and the observatory and roundhouse my lad loved to go to at night to tell story’s before bed. It’s been very quiet both times we have been in school holidays. The outdoor showers are clean and an adventurous treat for the little ones. Composting toilets have always been clean and tidy too.
We never made it to the cafe the first time but in August 2025 we did and the food there was amazing, the staff are lovely.

The site had really well spaced pitches set out within a beautiful meadow surrounding with trees and wildlife galore. The site was very peaceful and natural, a real break to be enjoyed. There were many nature trails and walks running off the site and it's general location was favourable for venturing out to nearby beaches. The overall eco friendly approach to the site was pleasantly not uncomfortable and added to the feeling of a more 'wild camp' experience, in other words, real camping and real tranquility. The perfect break and looking to return very soon. 🙂
