Weekend Trip to Little Fleece at Folly Farm

Stayed here with my best friend for a girls weekend and can not recommend it enough! Stunning views, beautiful Shepard's hut, all the little added extras, making it so homely and wholesome, the hot tub is gorgeous, the fire pit was fantastic, just sitting out all night with a 🍷 catching up with each other and the🔥 keeping us warm, was utterly superb ❤️😍 we absolutely loved every second ❤️ and our hosts, David, Jane and Tory were exceptional. We are definitely booking for next year, maybe sooner ❤️ and can’t wait 🥰

Weekend Trip to The Riverside Retreat

This place is perfect. Beautiful views, brilliant and kind host, and gorgeous accommodation. Having the site exclusively to yourself is a real luxury. We felt so relaxed and all the little details are catered for. Campfire, kitchen, BBQ, hot tub, hammock, and even a swing and bird watching binoculars. The gorgeous Bell tent and bathroom are faultless. Thank you Vanessa, for creating such a wonderful little place to step away from real life!

2 nights at Heygates Lodging

We have stayed in the Pheasant Lodge in this beautiful location and it was exactly what we need it. The Lodge was home to home, super clean and well equipped with everything we need it. Graham and Alison are great hosts, nothing too much trouble. The jacuzzi was amazing, perfect place to relax while watching the beautiful sunset over the canal. Yelvertoft was not too far and we loved the delicious homemade sausages from Alex's deli for our grill. We wish we could stayed a bit longer, truly enjoyed our stay.

2 nights at The Riverside Retreat

We loved staying at Vanessa’s campsite, she was very welcoming and we had everything that was needed. The location has a great view of the river and is close to many walks around the Forest of Dean. The wood burner keeps the tent nice and toasty at night. There’s a Big Tesco in the town close by just 10 minutes away from Campsite. Bonus points for the hot tub! Vanessa is very friendly and we felt welcomed and cared for straight away while respecting our privacy at the same time. Definitely Recommended!

There is plenty of space in the field, so even with other campervans there, it feels like you have privacy and room to enjoy the beautiful views. The shower and toilet block was spotless. Weekend Trip to The Nut Plat Retreat

A fantastic cosy, quiet and romantic cabin, perfect for a little weekend getaway. The hosts are super accommodating and responsive but are also very respectful of your privacy. We arrived with both the fireplace inside and the hot tub fire already roaring. A fantastic experience overall would recommend to anyone! And easy enough to access by just public transport if you don't want to drive :))

Location is excellent. The views are stunning despite our stay being on a more overly cloudy/misty day/night. Close to Brecon town centre and easily reached by taxi both ways. Craddock Golf Course nearby was also very welcoming where we watch the 1st half of the rugby before heading into town. We did message a couple of times via Hipcamp about the pitch but didnt get a reply. However, when we arrived we were happy with the pitches available. We just picked our own and set up. Overall we were really pleased and would definitely return.

Wonderful location. Rural without being remote, and so peaceful. Lots of wildlife and space to explore. Brilliant hosts who couldn't have been more helpful!

Came for a short break away from work and degree stress. Planned to go on some nice walks with the dog but the weather was awful. So ended up staying in by the log burner, reading our books and crochet. I did also manage to get the hot tub HOT ♨️ one day, took a few rounds of restocking the fire but once we got there, it then got so hot I had to add some cold! So worth it! There is good WiFi available so manged to watch a few films in the evening. Might be back for one of my reading weeks when I need minimal distractions! 😂

To all the savvy readers out there, do yourselves a favor and reserve a spot at this gem of a place. Graham & Allison are the ultimate hosts, and I can't stress enough how delightful our stay was. We're definitely planning a return trip and can't wait to reunite with Allison. The hot tub was a dream, I even managed to reel in some decent-sized fish! The lodge was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Top-notch comfort all around.

Folley Farm was a picture perfect stay! Jane could not have done enough to settle us in, lighting the fire ready for our arrival and the gorgeous welcome pack including homemade biscuits and bread. The Shepherds hut was beyond impressive, the perfect place to switch off! We will certainly be back in the summer to make use of the wood fired bath & outdoor BBQ/ pizza oven facilities.

We live in a secluded idyllic hamlet only 11 miles from the centre of Cardiff. Yr Hen Felin used to be the flour mill serving Dyffryn House and the Estate. Later it became the woodsman’s cottage. The water wheel no longer exists, but the river runs through the property. The five acre site has two beautifully converted horseboxes and a shepherd’s hut with exclusive use of my art room which has a kitchenette, a woodburning stove and table and sofabed. For those who enjoy a more modern experience we have a dwelling with boifold doors on two sides and spectacular views. A small 1,200-acre woodland just north of Witney in Oxfordshire, Wychwood was once a sprawling, important mediaeval Royal Forest. Today, this area is best known for its craft fairs, tree-shaded walks, and three charming Wychwood villages (Ascott, Shipton, and Milton), all originally part of the forest and home to fabulous country pubs and elegant wool-era churches. The forest is fringed by dreamy honey-stone Cotswolds villages such as Charlbury, Chipping Norton, and Burford, around which you’ll find masses of scenic meadow campsites, well-equipped campervan spots, and stylish glamping yurts, huts, and pods.

Northern Cotswolds

The Cotswolds AONB ranks among England’s most delightful landscapes, sprinkled with golden, thatch-roof villages. The AONB’s northern flank takes in Wychwood and around, where architectural delights include the villages of Chipping Norton, Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Broadway, and Chipping Campden. Out in the wild, you can walk the long-distance Cotswold Way, try biking and horse riding, and dip into lakes and rivers to cool off.

Oxford, Woodstock & Around
