Feel at ease on every pitch at Sunset Camping, a quiet and very welcoming family-friendly campsite in central Cornwall. This west-facing spot is well positioned to soak up all-day sunshine and has some truly lovely views over the surrounding area.
Here you can watch the sun setting over the sea, take an evening stroll along the coast at Portreath's dog-friendly beach (10 minutes' drive), or relax with your pet (if you've brought one) over an end-of-day barbecue or campfire back at base. Even closer to home are a dog-friendly pub, a discount supermarket and a play park (at North Country) – all of these are within a handy 10-minute stroll.

The Cabin is situated on our 20 acres of land, next to our garden. It faces down the valley with scenic views and a peaceful setting. An ideal place to relax and a great base from which to explore the beautiful Dorset coast and countryside whether by foot, bicycle, horse or car. If you like wildlife you may spot deer, hares, kestrels, buzzards, barn owls and many more creatures. There is a bbq/fire pit so you can sit outside and stargaze. With no light pollution and a big expanse of sky many stars can be seen on a clear night and the sunsets here can be spectacular.
We are slowly but surely making our land more nature friendly. We have sown thousands of wild flowers seeds and planted hundreds of native hedging and trees. To encourage more bird life we are planning to provide more places for them to roost and nest.There is plenty more to do but we are enjoying the journey and hope you will too.
The cabin is open plan with a light and pleasant lounge space with a large sofa. A sleeping nook with french linen curtains around it contains a comfortable double bed and cozy duvet; you can lie in bed with a brew and observe the natural world from the window. The kitchen is small but perfectly formed with a fridge/freezer, two ring gas hob and combi-microwave which are perfect for light cooking. Plus a compact shower room.
There is no live tv but the free streaming services are available or log into your own accounts for a quiet night in.

Weekend Trip to Pigscombe Piglet
The Piglet is a great choice if you are looking for a quiet getaway. The location is excellent—peaceful and private, but still an easy drive to local beaches and towns. It was a thoroughly relaxing experience, and I would certainly consider staying here again.

We loved Hazel roundhouse. The freindliest welcome. Excellent facilities, beautifully designed. Views of the rolling countryside are great and the setting is really natural, watching a barn owl swooping over the meadow at dusk was a highlight, as well as star-gazing from the hot tub. We will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful stay. We arrived quite late, yet Evie was incredibly kind and still met us in person, even helping us with our luggage, which we really appreciated. The farm setting was a highlight - we were free to roam around, feed the chickens, and our little toddler absolutely loved jumping on the trampoline.
The cottage itself is beautifully secluded, giving us complete peace and privacy, and it truly had everything one could ask for, even a dishwasher in the kitchen. We especially enjoyed spending the evening by the firepit on the deck.
If you love hiking, there are plenty of great trails in the area as well. Highly recommend and can’t wait for our next stay.

If you're looking for a peaceful & private retreat, this hidden gem is the perfect place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by Evie and daughter as soon as we arrived, even though it was a very wet & windy evening. Cottage Orne is cosy & comfortable with great views. Only natural sounds were to be heard including owls. After a day out walking with the dog in the beautiful surrounding countryside, it was lovely to be able to return & sit out on the decking, relax and warm yourself around the firepit. The fairy lights added a magical touch. The fenced cottage garden is ideal for those with dogs and having the freedom to access the extensive grounds was an unexpected treat. We stayed at Cottage Orne for the August bank holiday weekend and so glad we booked it. Evie was amazing and always available if needed and our kids loved playing with the new puppies. The cottage itself was perfect for a long weekend away and catered for our family of 4 with no problems. If we are ever back in the area, I'm sure we will be back to stay.

What a fantastic cabin, has almost everything you need for a quiet relaxing stay. The place is beautiful and you get to see all sorts of animals and insects. Paul and Sarah are fantastic hosts too, made sure we had everything we needed.
The only difference I would do next time is bring more lights. They do provide you electric lanterns and candles, but it's not enough to see properly on what your cooking and other stuff.

The cabin was a perfect escape from the city rat race. My dog and I really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the farm and the secluded nature allowed us to stop, relax and reset our batteries.
When we did want to adventure out we were perfectly located for great walks on the south west coastal path, some lovely beaches, markets in Bridport and a fantastic drive along the coast to Portland.
I'm looking for another window in my calendar when I can return to this special place

What an amazing, little gem of a place! Stayed here with my husband and our little girl, for his birthday. It felt glorious to switch off from everything for a few days. The hut is so well equipped, we had everything we needed. We braved the walk to to the pub through the woods, which is easy once you know where you’re going 😂 beautiful woodland, with lots of space for everyone. Do be cautious of ticks though (managed to catch one on my daughter before it had attached). All in all, a gorgeous spot - felt very lucky to find it at short notice 😁
