Stayed over Sunday to Monday and we only saw one other van. The Clearing is a lovely area surrounded by trees with facilities a minute away. It’s all basic but clean and functional. We will definitely go again.

Weekend Trip to Goren Farm

We stayed in the old moor hideaway pitch, which was lovely and private, looking over one of the beautiful wildflower meadows. The pitch has cows nearby, which we liked but if you’re not a fan of cows it might not be the pitch for you. Lots of lovely butterflies and birds to watch. Compost loos, sink and showers all good, fire pit provided. Checking in wasn’t super smooth as the host hadn’t received a notification that we’d booked on here, but they were friendly and welcoming when we did arrive. Website said there was wheelbarrows to transport stuff up to the plot because you couldn’t drive the whole way but there wasn’t any. There was also a recycling sign recommending burning light plastics in your firepit… not particularly good for the environment or your health breathing in the fumes… Despite these little things I would visit again, lovely spot.

Lovely site for a group of friends with walks and water activities to enjoy. Facilities are basic and not the cleanest but still fine for a small site. People were so friendly on site, very happy and welcoming place. Will definitely be back!

We loved camping on Chloe’s land in Southover woods. Clear signage, communucation from the host, perfect location. We loved the whole package including the wild bucket shower and the toilet with the view! Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Radcot Leisure on Thames

Lovely site on the river right next a very pleasant pub - what more could you ask for. This was my second stay and the site was more or less at capacity this time, but despite that I was still comfortable. There were a few groups up late but no one was being obnoxiously loud. Only complaint is that the showers are way too hot!! 'Warning Hot Water' stickers seem like an admission of guilt. Otherwise can't fault the place, looking forward to staying again another time.

3 nights at Goren Farm

We had a magical time camping at Goren Farm. Blessed with lovely weather we enjoyed having nature all around. Photographing flowers, bees and insects in the meadows and relaxing with birdsong and a glass or two of wine. Just perfect. We hope to return to this very special place.

Such an awesome spot! Loved the early check-in and late check-out, it really helped us make the most of our one-night stay. The shower was hot and super nice too.

I absolutely loved our stay at Gorens wild meadow camping and will definitely be returning. The land is beautiful and so peaceful. The hot showers were lovely too! So many nice walks around the land and close to it. The hosts were great too! We also enjoyed coffee and cake at the cafe which was delicious!

Fantastic location on river frome so can cold water swim, or paddle boarding (short part only). Stowfords is so well laid out...reception is easy and super friendly. Pizza van is perfect (fri/sat 5.30-8pm) lovely pizza. Camping site well laid out.. Big pitches along river, very quiet, lovely group of kids playing all over fields...toilets and hot showers, clean and well maintained...local attractions include public paths along river to Iford or check out Farleigh Hungerford castle with awesome audio tour. On Stowford Farm, there are arts, pottery, glass making studios which had open studio days so interesting to see. Night time is just chilled, with firepits/bbqs lit up and soft chatter amongst happy campers. Definitely be back soon.

4 nights at Southover Woods and Camping

We had a beautiful camping trip, toilet and shower very basic but fine for us as we aren’t fussy. Chloe and her husband were very helpful. The greyhound site is perfect for a large group and it is beautiful and surrounded by nature, we loved listening to all the birds in the morning. It’s a perfect place for some time offline and relaxing. Water being back by the carpark is a bit of a nightmare but aware there is nothing you can do to change that, would just recommend people to bring water with them. Only thing I would say is the site definitely needs more signage on where to go as the orange arrows aren't very clear and maybe should have a warning that the tank training is nearby as we were caught off guard by the very loud bangs until 2am! (Aware you wouldn’t know when they are training but a warning that it might happen would be good)

We love it here. Very relaxed rural space with only one pitch per field. Beautiful wildflowers and they have worked hard at creating a biodiversity paradise. You almost never find campsites this isolated in the UK.

5 nights at Woodlands Camping

Lovely spot. Showers and toilets available. Would recommend.
