All the decor is vintage, including cuttlery, crockery and even the childrens teddy's. Being on the doorstep of Dalby Forest, there are hours of entertainment to be had. You can follow the stream at the bottom of the valley to the River Derwent or venture into the surounding woods. We can provide a guest pass (free access) for Dalby Forest. The Wagons are not powered by electricity and are romantically lit by candles and oil lamps. Heated by cast iron gas heaters.

You will have your own picnic bench, where you can enjoy the coastal views from your pitch looking towards both Flamborough lighthouses, and out to sea. Enjoy incredible starry nights without any light pollution whilst gazing at the passing ships at night. We have an amenities block with clean toilets, however we DONT HAVE SHOWERS. Toilets and washing up area are close to the bell tent.

Luxurious Hypnos bed and mattress with plenty of storage. The hut offers a cosy interior with walls finished in dark blue tongue and groove paneling, an oak floor and contrasting white ceiling. Sumptuous Linwood fabrics have been used throughout on the windows and furniture. Double glazed hardwood doors and windows combined with electric thermostatically controlled heating ensure consistent comfort throughout the changing seasons. Outdoors, relax in the wood fired hot tub or sit around the fire pit sipping wine or enjoying mugs of hot chocolate whilst enjoying the wonderful views of the Teesdale countryside. we are a stone throw away from the railway walk that can take you to the neighbouring villages of Romaldkirk, or Middleton- in-Teesdale, or hop in the car and take a short drive to the picturesque market town of Barnard Castle. Guest access Cars can be parked approx 100 metres from the hut, access is from the B6277 along a private grass lane, waterproof footwear is recommended for pedestrian access during wet weather.

Our beautiful 5m Glamping bell tents are in an amazing location. We are based on a small, peaceful caravan park at Flamborough with stunning sea views and private, direct access to the scenic white chalk cliffs, which are a short 5 minute walk, where you will find many different sea birds. We are very close to several award winning beaches and a short drive to the village, where you will find several pubs serving excellent food. Our location is perfect for romance, peace, and adventure! Inside the tent there is a double memory foam mattress and two comfortable futons ready for you to bring your OWN SLEEPING BAG OR DUVET, as well as coir matting/rugs, apple crates, lanterns, an ottoman with a cool box inside and fairy lights. You will have your own picnic bench, where you can enjoy the coastal views from your pitch looking towards both Flamborough lighthouses, and out to sea. Enjoy incredible starry nights without any light pollution whilst gazing at the passing ships at night. We have an amenities block with clean toilets, however we DONT HAVE SHOWERS. Toilets and washing up area are close to the bell tent.

Weekend Trip to Greenoak Hideout

We had such a lovely stay at Greenoak. The hosts were so friendly and approachable and there were lots of lovely small touches that made the yurts feel homely and comfortable. The log burners and electric blankets meant that we were warm over night and had a really comfortable sleep. We are looking forward to going in the Summer to be able to enjoy more daylight hours. The boys (4 and 7) loved all of the friendly animals and the play equipment on the land, as well as the hot tub! We will definitely book again and would recommend to our friends and family! Thank you for a lovely stay and we look forward to visiting again next year!

The setting was just perfect for our family of five (including two dogs and a 4 year old). The Yurt was comfortable, clean and very cosy. The private shower and toilet facilities were great, as was the hot tub. We had a trip to the local nature reserve during our stay, however think our daughter and the dogs were just as happy in the grounds with lots to explore, very friendly animals and lots of activities including trampoline and climbing walls. Had great weekend yurt was fantastic, great atmosphere all basic supplies we needed we where greeted and explained where everything was. Views from yurt where lovely overlooking farm land hottub was great if not used to wood fired tubs may take bit of getting used to but we had no problems. Highlight was using he hot tub then getting back in our yurt and putting the log burner on. Hosts where wonderfully really helpful would highly recommend.

We loved our night at Bickley Rigg wagons. We stayed in Oxo wagon, which has a beautiful bunk bed with cupboard bed beneath, and it’s full of vintage curios, china and oil lanterns. We enjoyed the views across the valley, a campfire, delicious local produce in our welcome pack (especially the bacon), learning how to use the storm lamps and watching rabbits on the hill from our beds in the morning. Feel refreshed and inspired. Be aware toilets and facilities are very much off grid composting ones. Bruce was welcoming and helpful despite his kids being ill- and hard to believe he’s built all the wagons himself- this is obviously a labour of love.
