When you’re ready to get going, the friendly owners will be willing to help out however they can and suggest possible days out, which may include fishing or walking at Pickmere Lake (10 minutes’ drive), visiting an ice cream farm (within 10 minutes’ drive of the site) or going to the local golf course (five minutes’ drive). For food, there’s a farm shop just two minutes’ walk away from the site where you’ll be able to get your hands on local produce. Pubs aren’t far away either – there is one pub five minutes' walk away, and another 15 minutes' walk away. Festival goers are very welcome, and the Creamfields Festival site is five minutes’ drive away. Please respect the quiet hours (no noise is permitted after 10pm) and environment, as the owners' home is on the grounds (and stick to the field's facilities only). No waste accepted onsite. All rubbish must be taken home at the end of your stay.

This quiet and secluded site is ideal for a peaceful getaway in the Norfolk countryside, set on four and a half acres of flat and level land with spacious pitches. If you like the sound of having farm shops and ice cream farms nearby, as well as access to lots of walking and cycling trails, Stretton House Campsite should be a fine pick for you. It has a strict no noise policy after 10pm, meaning that you should get a peaceful night's sleep too. This site is in the grounds of the 400-year-old Stretton House surrounded by the Cheshire countryside with handy transport links nearby and outdoor activities in no short supply… that includes things like alpaca walking, golf or Manley Mere’s watersports haven (a 20-minute drive away for the latter). You’ll have your pick of two fields, both with car parking by the pitch free of charge and dogs allowed. The facilities include separate male and female toilet blocks, pay per use shower block, mobile phone charging facilities, free wifi and chemical toilet disposal and a drinking water standpipe. You’ll have permission to start up a barbecue or firepit too (subject to the correct safety measures). When you’re ready to get going, the friendly owners will be willing to help out however they can and suggest possible days out, which may include fishing or walking at Pickmere Lake (10 minutes’ drive), visiting an ice cream farm (within 10 minutes’ drive of the site) or going to the local golf course (five minutes’ drive). For food, there’s a farm shop just two minutes’ walk away from the site where you’ll be able to get your hands on local produce. Pubs aren’t far away either – there is one pub five minutes' walk away, and another 15 minutes' walk away. Festival goers are very welcome, and the Creamfields Festival site is five minutes’ drive away. Please respect the quiet hours (no noise is permitted after 10pm) and environment, as the owners' home is on the grounds (and stick to the field's facilities only). No waste accepted onsite. All rubbish must be taken home at the end of your stay.

Lovely field to camp in, beautiful views around the farm in the morning, great building to chill out in, useful facilities to store and heat food. Also loved the honesty shop with delicious pastries. Ian was very helpful with recommending local walks, and checked in throughout stay. Would love to visit again next year!

Definitely as described, and would have been absolutely gorgeous if the weather was amazing: beautiful view, fire pit and barbecue, just imagine! The weather was a bit wet and windy for us, but we still had a lovely two night stay and basically had the place to ourselves. Toilets and showers great, the little pub so nice and the farm shop an added extra. We really valued the commitment to recycling and zero waste and everyone we spoke to was super friendly. We will definitely be back!

We camped in a lovely field, with amazing facilities. Clean showers with plentiful hot water, clean toilets and a washing up area. We had an electric pitch right on the edge of the fields with lovely views of the sunset. It wasn't very busy during our stay, so was very peaceful. Close to some great restaurants which were very child-friendly. We paid extra for a campfire each night, but unfortunately, due to the strong winds on our 2nd night, we thought it would be safer to not use this! The campsite manager covered it for us to prevent it getting wet in any case. Lovely place, would definitely stay here again!

What a little Derbyshire gem: back to basics Whitehouse Farm Campsite is a simple site in a most scenic setting five minutes’ drive from the pretty village of Tideswell. The site’s central location in the Peak District National Park means it’s a top spot for those who want to ramble or ride bikes – several circular trails leave from Tideswell and the traffic-free Monsal Trail is a five-minute drive away. And there’s plenty more activity if you require it too, as activity centres nearby can sort you out days of horse riding, abseiling, climbing and caving. All this activity isn’t mandatory, of course – this is an equally fine location for days pottering off to local pubs, pigging out on pudding in Bakewell or taking a leisurely stroll around the Chatsworth Estate, 20 minutes away. The historic towns of Denbigh and Mold are only a 15 minute drive away as is Holywell and Flint . An ideal base to relax and unwind or if you wish to park up for the duration there is plenty of local walks from our gate to lakes and nature reserves in the area. On site you will have ensuite facilities in our luxurious Quarry Wagons with a covered outdoor veranda deck and an outdoor bath tub to relax and unwind under the dark skies. You will also have your own campfire and picnic area right outside and parking is provided adjacent to your unit . We have a secluded private hillside woodland with further areas to explore without even leaving the site . We are brand new for 2024 and will have 2 units onsite this year and plans in place for another 2 soon . In total we will have 4 camping pitches with direct connection for water , electric and lpg gas for all your heating cooking and bathing needs
