Weekend Trip to Baystone Bank Farm Campsite

The site was a wonderful surprise; everyone was so friendly & helpful! We’ll definitely be going for a return visit ❤️💕

1 night at Howdy Glamping

Close to the A66 & M6 by Penrith, so good place to be based for exploring the area. Site clean and tidy, super laid back, a bit rustic and quirky... in a nice way. Friendly people and dog! Free use of on site fridge/freezer and kettles, toilets and shower clean. Nice out door seating area/s with fire pits/bbq's. Glamping pods/tents and caravans looked interesting...! We stayed in my campervan..

2 nights at Howbeck Lodge

Lovely spot in the farmland, close to the lakes district. Good hot showers and clean toilets. Would recommend.

Weekend Trip to Camping at Cardewlees

Great natural site with lovely views and sheep and cattle to keep you company (on other side of fence). Quiet and easy to walk into village. Helpful host and facilities as described. Definitely return.

1 night at Howbeck Lodge

Fantastic rural location but only 15 mins for M6 set on a working farm in a valley. So quiet and scenic Walking distance to village with community pub!

Friendly warden did what he could when we arrived. Views were amazing, campfires are a must at this site. The showers are nice and hot. Mostly clean even when it was wet. Would be good if they could advertise some local walks as these aren’t easily sign posted.

4 nights at Baystone Bank Farm Campsite

Loved the animals on site and very helpful staff. Camping by the stream was lovely to see and hear along with the birds singing in the morning. Drinking water available from outside tap. Toilets and showers were decent, nice and warm. Cafe on site is ideal for the lazy mornings.

Beautiful place amazing and friendly staff this was our first time taking the children camping and they had a wonderful time here the fields go on and on for and for us that loves to go walking this place was amazing there is some old ruins kids loved looking at the stream and all the farm animals that was there it was just a perfect all round can’t wait to come back! Thank you for having us.

Nice little campsite, not many pitches which makes it more cosy and less noisey! Facilities are clean and decent with great views in every direction. It’s in the middle of nowhere so you may need a car to go off exploring! We took the kids to Havenrigg beach which was about 10mins away, lovely little place! Noise policy was good, 11pm cut off which suited us with little ones.

I had a very nice stay at Tom and Andri's. They both said hello to me at different points and made me feel very welcomed. Andri told me a great place to walk my dog and Tom showed me some of the new facilities the place is getting. Lovely quiet stay.

3 nights at Baystone Bank Farm Campsite

Lovely campsite, beautiful spot, view of mountais and walks straight off the site. Very quiet and calm (this was April) We never met the owners and nobody at the reception caravan when we arrived although we werecwithing the arrival time, so we just got on with it. A few bits in the shop and some food served but no real coffee would be the only downfall. I hoped to cafe might have some! Showers worked and lots of hot water to wash up with. If we didn't live so far away, I would definitely visit again. Also, amazing for riding at the center, if that is your thing, everyone wes very friendly.

We had a great trip, the location is fantastic and the staff were brilliant. They were very helpful and friendly, and with the camp store on site we were never without their support. Amazing site, would definitely camp here again.

Amazing stay, peaceful with beautiful views of the mountains and some wildlife. Stream is clear running and the land is well kept. The toilets and showers are clean and well kept also . Will definitely be returning! Loved it.
