When you’re ready to get going, the friendly owners will be willing to help out however they can and suggest possible days out, which may include fishing or walking at Pickmere Lake (10 minutes’ drive), visiting an ice cream farm (within 10 minutes’ drive of the site) or going to the local golf course (five minutes’ drive).
For food, there’s a farm shop just two minutes’ walk away from the site where you’ll be able to get your hands on local produce. Pubs aren’t far away either – there is one pub five minutes' walk away, and another 15 minutes' walk away.
Festival goers are very welcome, and the Creamfields Festival site is five minutes’ drive away. Please respect the quiet hours (no noise is permitted after 10pm) and environment, as the owners' home is on the grounds (and stick to the field's facilities only).
No waste accepted onsite. All rubbish must be taken home at the end of your stay.

Around an hour away from Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and Birmingham, but most definitely far enough away for a break from city life. Great pubs within 30 mins walking distance and close to Cycle Routes, Walking Routes, Farm Shop Cafes, Markets, Supermarkets, a Gin Distillery (open to the public), three wedding venues, a kids tree top adventure amusement park, just to name a few. Back to basics campsite with toilets, showers and tap for drinking water. Easy to find and well presented. Entrance to field is a little muddy - it's been dry recently so didn't cause any issues but something to be aware of.

We had such a fun time. Claire (our host) was lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome. We didn't bring anything to sit on (as we had taken public transport) and she was kind enough to lend us some benches for us to use on our patch. She ensured that our wood was kept dry for our campfire and that she was within reach should we need anything. We would definitely return again. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Me and my partner came here for a much needed city break by tent and it was honestly amazing! The shower and toilet are seperate facilities and both clean, there is a kitchen too with a gas stove for cooking! The site is near anywhere you'd like to drive or even walk to around the peak district, and in the actual site itself you can see all the altitude and beauty around you. The air is incredibly fresh, and the owners of the campsite are really sweet and helpful. Will definitely come back for our next trip to the peak district this summer, thank you for having us :)

Despite storm Amy, we had a decent stay. Although not needed, the Facilities were very good. Toilet blocks, shower block & chemical toilet waste disposal too. Paul was helpful when called upon for directions and a mini rescue due to downpour.

Just spent three nights in our campervan at Wold Farm. We received a warm and friendly welcome and were invited to choose a pitch anywhere we fancied. It’s a nice, open site and the pitches are spacious. Toilets were clean with plenty of hot water. We knew there were no showers on site but would really have liked some!

Brilliant kept site, lovely surroundings and owners couldn’t do enough for you.
Shower and toilet block was immaculately kept, lovely hot water shower.
Defo book the flyer fire pits and magic fire dust my grandson loved it!

Really well laid out site. Quite steep in places with rough ground but fine if you are mobile. Toilet and shower facilities are excellent, as is the wash up area with phone charging facilities and shared fridges.
Fantastic base to explore the area, right next to the Thurscross reservoir.
