Our peaceful 9-acre camping field is set on a working farm, surrounded by fields and woodland, with lovely countryside views over the village of Holmesfield. Located right on the edge of the Peak District in Derbyshire, this is an ideal base for walkers, hikers, and nature lovers, with public footpaths leading directly from the farm.
We are just a short drive from Chatsworth House and the market town of Bakewell, and within walking distance of a welcoming village pub serving good food. The pub is dog friendly, and well-behaved dogs are welcome on site.
This is a simple, back-to-basics, off-grid camping experience, perfect for families, groups of friends, and those looking for peaceful countryside camping.
Facilities include:

Access is via a stony farm track which can be bumpy and muddy

We loved this site, its overall size and simple spotless facilities, no fuss booking and check in, great location, gorgeous views, and a mud free level pitch despite the gails and rain we brought with us! Darren and Diana were fab, great communication, excellent care of the site and they even lent us a pair of grips when we found our gas tank valve has seized up and we couldn’t open it by hand. Hospitable hosts and a lovely site. Will definitely come back and highly recommend!

Such a lovely spot. Very idyllic and private. Pitches were a decent distance from each other which was really nice - it was nice knowing other people were around but having your own private space. Dog friendly, which was brilliant - camped for the first time with our boy. He didn't like the owls! We will be back!

We had a wonderful time at Woodsworth Exploring - our kids loved camping in a woodland, and it is well-looked after and beautiful. You do have to walk in with your gear, but they provide wheelbarrows for you to use. Emma was very responsive and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to come back sometime soon!

We had a fantastic weekend, just what we like in a campsite, small super quiet and chilled, fantastic views and good facilities, Darren & Diana were good hosts and communicated very well. Great walking in the area, the price you pay for the great view is a good hike back up to the site but worth it..! We stopped at the tea room down in the village before taking on the hill home, can highly recommend all the fresh cakes and food from the tea room a little gem.

Lovely little family-feel site, only 5 pitches so you get to know your neighbours! Would a great site if you have a few of you - to have the full site to yourselves if allowed. The facilities are nice; toilet & shower, hot water with outdoor washing up area - all you need on a little site like this. Good location for Chrome Hill and Parkhouse hill and other walks around the area.
Very open/exposed site at the top of the hill, so be mindful of the weather forecast. It was 39/40 mph wind the whole time I was there so did have to leave a night early unfortunately as my tent would not have survived! But apart from the uncontrollable weather, it was a lovely stay. Worth the visit!

Really nice campsite with good facilities. It was quite busy but it wasn't too noisy. Staff were friendly. I was on a hardstanding pitch and my only gripe was, the grass that we had allocated for the pitch wasn't really quite wide enough to secure my awning as well as I would have liked. The awning just about fit on.
We had some sandwiches made by the guy in the cafe to take on our walk which were good. Lacking veggie options though.

I can not recommend Baystone enough. THE VIEWS ARE AMAZING! I was not expecting them from the pictures shown by stunning the wash facilties are clean and maintained access to onsite fridge and freezer. Good pitch sizes with fire pit.
I will be back as soon as possible. Camp warden was lovely super friendly. I explained my dog prefers space and she was more willing to accommodate.
The on lead rule is followed by all guests which was a reason I picked the sight. There is alot of live stock so your dog does need to be okay with horses and sheep around.
Noise levels were quiet by 10pm every night. Cafe on site was lovely and have a small shop with some goodies avaliable (tecos 8 min drive away) beautiful beaches, peaks near by. I loved it

Beautiful! What a lovely stay we had, from the peaceful pitch under the trees to the clean spacious toilet block, not to mention our little camping friend the robin that came within 2 feet of us begging for some crumbs. We saw alot of different birds, a squirrel, rabbit and didn't see but heard an owl. The pitch was secluded with not another camper in sight, the only time we ran into other lovely campers was on the way to and from the toilets. Cannot recommend this place more if you are looking for peaceful surroundings, a wild camping experience or just getting back to nature. Last but not least the hosts are knowledgeable, friendly and are doing a great job of keeping the wood as nature intended with minimal trace campers have ever been. I will look forward to my next visit!

One of the best campsites we've been to! Was our first time using a campervan and it was perfect here - everything dead easy. Lovely clean showers and toilets, amazing views, beautiful stream running through it, chilled vibes and top staff - big shout to Emma & Danny who were great hosts :)

Lovely little site with amazing views and quiet surroundings. Clean toilet & basic shower facility with water and cleaning items such as bin bags, kitchen sponges. We arrived at 6pm to an empty site and grabbed the corner plot before another couple arrived shortly after but was very comfortable all night. Owners checked in morning of departure but no issues to report. Will be back when the weather is drier to tackle pack house hill!

We had a great time at Chrome Hill Campers - it had a really relaxing vibe and the views were amazing. Just perfect to wake up to. It was a small site but it has everything you need. The toilet/shower block was spotless as was the separate washing up area. Would definitely come back!
