Wander sandy paths, hike along parts of the Suffolk Coast Path, and watch for diverse bird species like the redshank in the estuaries. Nearby campsites accommodate both tents and caravans, with amenities including electrical hookups, picnic areas, and firepits. On a camping trip during colder months, find something different and stay in a glamping pod that’s fully heated and insulated.

Broads National Park

Explore areas like Wroxham Broad and Hickling Broad, navigate the waters on a boat or canoe on River Waveney, or simply enjoy the diverse wildlife that populates the region, like the swallowtail and the rare Norfolk hawker dragonfly. Coastal campsites provide amenities like toilets, washrooms, and beach access, while holiday cottage rentals are also available along the waterfront.

When to go

Kessingland and its surrounding areas are popular during summer months, with temperatures averaging 20°C and pleasant conditions for hiking, birdwatching, and boating.
