Easily accessible off the A541 Mold-Denbigh road , 7 mins from J31 on A55 . A short 20-25 minute drive to the beach resorts of Talacre , Rhyl , Abergele and Prestatyn. The historic towns of Denbigh and Mold are only a 15 minute drive away as is Holywell and Flint . An ideal base to relax and unwind or if you wish to park up for the duration there is plenty of local walks from our gate to lakes and nature reserves in the area. On site you will have ensuite facilities in our luxurious Quarry Wagons with a covered outdoor veranda deck and an outdoor bath tub to relax and unwind under the dark skies. You will also have your own campfire and picnic area right outside and parking is provided adjacent to your unit . We have a secluded private hillside woodland with further areas to explore without even leaving the site . We are brand new for 2024 and will have 2 units onsite this year and plans in place for another 2 soon . In total we will have 4 camping pitches with direct connection for water , electric and lpg gas for all your heating cooking and bathing needs

We had a wonderful weekend here with our family. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly quiet – the perfect escape from everyday life. Everything we needed was provided, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The surroundings are amazing, and we truly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. 2 nights at Hollow Oak Glamping
We had an amazing stay here for 2 nights with my wife. Before arriving, I realised I made a mistake and booked the wrong date — I was actually one day late. I explained everything to the owner and she was so kind, friendly, and understanding. She told us we could still stay the full 2 nights with no extra cost, which we really appreciated.
The place itself was beautiful, very comfortable, and extremely clean. On the second day we visited the farm and honestly it was one of the best parts of the trip — we enjoyed every single minute there.
Everything about this stay was peaceful and relaxing. We would definitely love to come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a lovely getaway.

The chicken hut was very cosy and also had all the mod cons. The view was lovely and the location was great base to explore north wales. We had a tour of the farm and it was clear how much the owners care about the animals.

3 nights at wildwood quarry retreat
We stayed in the Oak cabin. Both cabins are pretty identical. Absolutely fantastic stay with an amazing location and stunning views. Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather but that was ok because we had all the facilities we needed to cook, clean and relax.
Super easy access to nearby towns if wanting to venture off to find stuff to do.
The outdoor bath was a really nice touch as well. Felt so relived and stress free not having to think about the daily grind for a few nights.
Couldn't recommend Wildwood Quarry Retreat enough!!

Weekend Trip to Tipis at Ponty, Greener Camping
I don’t even know where to start..! What a find this place is, we loved it from start to finish.
Very boho-esque with yurts, tipis and wild camping. The owners are really lovely, and ensured we had everything we needed! We stayed in Rita, a wooden cabin with private outdoor space, an outdoor shower and toilet, cooking facilities, a fire pit, and generally everything you could need they’ve thought of. With views of the sheep too which come right up to the fence, it was just lovely 🥰
Inside was just as wonderful, super comfy bed, the linen was 👌🏼 so cosy. As you can probably tell, we didn’t want to come home 😂
There’s also a river on their land, so we took our picking blanket, some drinks and snacks, and spent an afternoon down by there, with a little go in their kayaks! Then spent some time in the sunset shack too looking out at the beautiful view.
Such a hidden gem, we’re going back again in the summer for a week 🥰

Absolutely fantastic place! Such high quality. We had everything we needed and more, the hosts were very welcoming with the little touches they provided. Extremely clean and well cared for place. We stayed in the wooden lodge and was so surprised how much space there was.

Fantastic set up, all that you need for a nice trip away, fire pit, BBQ, kitchen area all perfect. Shower spotlessly clean and very hot water . Pub at bottom of the road with fantastic views across north wales . Had the great pleasure of meeting Sue on arrival, lovely lady .

We have just returned from a wonderful 2 night break at Hollow Oak. Cwt lâr had everything we could need, plus some lovely added treats (fresh eggs, milk, and cake)!
It's in a perfect location to visit lots of different attractions, we headed to the beaches as we had some much needed sunshine! My little girl enjoyed a tour around the farm meeting the animals, collecting eggs and helping to count the cows. We will most definitely be returning next year.

We loved our time at the "duck hut". It was beautifully crafted and was a very relaxing place for a holiday with our kids and the treats Lucy left for us in the cabin were a nice surprise. The valley it sat in was very picturesque and are kids enjoyed being shown around the farm by Rheon. Excellent location for trips out to explore North Wales and Snowdonia. Happily come and stay with Lucy and Rheon again.
