Just 1 hour from Perth, Harmony Retreat is a conscious camping space situated on 25 acres at the foothills of the Darling Range Escarpment just 10-15 minutes from Pinjarra and Dwellingup, 7 minutes from the southwest highway, and 3 minutes from Pinjarra-Williams Road. It's an easily accessible and picturesque private property with approximately 7 acres of forest, flushing toilet, hot outdoor shower, a winter creek, a swimmable spring-fed dam, and an abundance of bird and wildlife, nestled between cattle farms in the heart of the Peel region. There are friendly free-ranging chickens and Guinea fowl, a mischievous mini pig, friendly goats, sheep, and a family dog on site. The owners Michelle, Troy, and Carolyne live and work onsite (this is a working farm). THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO BOOK IF YOU INTEND TO PARTY. The camping area is easily accessed by most vehicles. There is a hot water outdoor shower and toilet available to use and within walking distance of each site. CHILDREN - The dam on the property is currently unfenced and has steep sides when the water line is low, therefore this property is not recommended for those with small and wandering children. We also asked that older children are supervised, so as not to vandalise property, nature, gardens and fire-pits (this has been a problem in the past). Friendly dogs are welcome, however, must be kept on a leash at all times, due to free-ranging chickens, livestock and wildlife on the property. There are no cooking facilities available. Therefore, you will need to be completely self-sufficient including cooker, kettle, esky, etc, and also bringing your own drinking water as the water from the taps comes from our spring-fed dam. We do ask that you follow local fire regulations with no outdoor open flames during fire bans. All rubbish and waste needs to be taken with you. However, Peppa the Pig will always appreciate your veggie scraps. Fires are permitted in designated fire pits during fire season. Anyone found having a fire during FIRE BANS will be reported to authorities and asked to leave the property immediately (we need to use firm words around this, as bushfire destroys homes and endangers lives). The paddocks are uneven terrain with incline and decline and are not safe for riding. - No yelling or squealing in the communal / play ground area. This area is for everybody's enjoyment. If your children are yelling and squealing you will all be asked to leave the communal area. - Please supervise your children at ALL times, this is for their safety. Children are not allowed to roam free around the farm without adults. Please ensure your children do not yell, squeal or run whilst around the animals. -Children must be supervised in the communal playground area, The playground is closed for use at 6.pm. - No lighting of campfires. Local Shire and DEFES have very strong rules regarding this, and if lighting of a fire occurs people will be prosecuted by DEFES and the local Shire up to $36000.00 or 3 years imprisonment, -Fabulous communal fire pit open during winter months. No individual site camp fires due to safety of our property, animals and guests. -If you smoke please place your butts in a sealed fire proof container. Make sure you read and make yourself very aware of the guidelines, as your safety is very important to us. -Arrival during day light hours is a must please arrival by 6pm, for yours and our animals safety. There are horses and Scottish Highland cattle that usually greet you near the main entrance, and sheep and cattle graze the hill country and surrounds. Plenty more for nature lovers here, including red-tailed cockatoos that flock to the gully to feed on the Marri trees, plus many other birds. The resident Wedge-tail eagles soar above making the most of the thermals created from the hills and the local kangaroos Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads at ALL times as this is a working farm. You MUST bring your own camping toilet and be COMPLETELY 100% self sufficient with everything including drinking water We have a Leave No Trace policy, so ask that you please take all waste with you. Strictly No Pre Booking tours of campsites allowed, a good description and photos of each campsite is available online. ALL campers are to be booked in prior to arriving at the farm. Other things to note Moonbeams Yurt is situated at the bottom of a 1 acre property, on a large 48sqm decked area. The yurt is 20sqm in size and the composting toilet and shower are within 10 steps from the yurt entrance. The hot water shower is an outdoor shower with a privacy screen. There is NO power at all, but 1 battery powered light is available, and there is a basic gas cooker provided. There is no refrigeration. Parking is at the top of the property and guests will have to walk down a partially sealed path to arrive at the entrance to the yurt, so good mobility is needed. You will need to bring in refrigeration/Eski, lights and basic cooking camp ware. A wheelbarrow can be provided to get gear from car to yurt. A Double bed is provided. Optional extras are fresh bedding. The pot belly stove is great for the winter, and timber is provided for cold nights. We do not recommend booking during our hottest months, unless you love the heat. This property is great for backpackers or people wanting to see the sites of Perth and surrounds. The train line is close by for people who do not have a car. There are many walks and states forests in the area. We have a two night minimum stay.

While staying at Sandalwood Downs we would like all visitors to understand and accept the guidelines and rules, which are in place for everybody’s happiness, comfort and safety. YOUR FAMILIES SAFELY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US: - No bikes sorry. As we are a farm we do not have bike trails or paths. The paddocks are uneven terrain with incline and decline and are not safe for riding. - No yelling or squealing in the communal / play ground area. This area is for everybody's enjoyment. If your children are yelling and squealing you will all be asked to leave the communal area. - Please supervise your children at ALL times, this is for their safety. Children are not allowed to roam free around the farm without adults. Please ensure your children do not yell, squeal or run whilst around the animals. -Children must be supervised in the communal playground area, The playground is closed for use at 6.pm. - No lighting of campfires. Local Shire and DEFES have very strong rules regarding this, and if lighting of a fire occurs people will be prosecuted by DEFES and the local Shire up to $36000.00 or 3 years imprisonment, -Fabulous communal fire pit open during winter months. No individual site camp fires due to safety of our property, animals and guests. -If you smoke please place your butts in a sealed fire proof container. Please do not leave them on the ground as it is a fire risk and our animals may eat them causing health issues. -No dogs permitted on the property due to our animals roaming free. -You must be totally self contained, own power and water, (3 clean portable toilet and refreshing cold bush shower are available for use in the communal area). -Please take away all rubbish. -No big party groups. -Quiet time from 7.30pm please. Please consider other guests and our neighbours. -Check out of campsite by 11 am please. -If a gate is closed, please close it behind you as will find it very hard to catch an animal that has escaped. - Please do not enter animal enclosures/ paddocks without Jane or Marc. -As we are a farm and you will be in our farm animals home, we ask you to please be kind and friendly towards all of our animals. -You approach all animals at your own risk -Please do not feed the animals any food that has not been given to you by Jane and Marc. -Please drive very slowly through paddocks 10km per hour as animals roam freely. -You will be handed a rules and guidelines policy when you arrive which includes an emergency and evacuation plan. Make sure you read and make yourself very aware of the guidelines, as your safety is very important to us. -Arrival during day light hours is a must please arrival by 6pm, for yours and our animals safety. Weekend Trip to Herron Point Farm Stay
We stayed on lakeside camp 3. It is exactly as in the photo. We sat there with drinks both mornings to listen to the life on the lake. So many birds and a pair of Whistling kites living in one of the trees. Paul was a very friendly host. There are about a dozen free range chooks wandering about and they generally just hung out with us. We also wandered down to the wetland area to spot more birdlife. Was a lovely peaceful stay. The camp site is flat and large with a firepit provided during camp fire season. Would definitely recommend.

It was nice. Up on Goat Mountain, the view of the rolling hills meeting in the valley was lovely. Kids loved the animals and birds. The visit of goats and alpacas to the camp-site was fun for a pet. Sadly the weather turned next day and soaked us, but that's nature. Only an overnighter to test the new camper trailer, so a few extra nights for next time. Happy to go back. Thanks for letting us stay on you property Jane. Great set up.

Authentic farmstay! Very peaceful. Sites are very spread out. Can hardly see anyone. The animals are next level! So many of them and they are all friendly. Definitely the best farmstay in regards to animals interaction, I’ve been too. The owners have 4 dogs. The dogs were my favourite! Beautiful, calm natured pets. Could’ve easily taken them home ❤️

Fantastic spot, a little up the hill away from other sites and with great view. Perfect if you are self sufficient. Slight slope to site. Only downside was no animals in the field with us! The animals around the farm are absolutely beautiful and super friendly. 10 mins drive in Toodyay.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Goat Mountain. Very easy to get to, very easy to set up your camping space, and kid friendly. The animals are adorable. Portable toilets were well maintained and in good condition. We'll definitely be back!!

A peaceful getaway, lots of birds, some making nests in the hollows of dead trees which was great to watch. His alpacas, sheep and emu are a joy to see. This is the second time we’ve stayed at Herron Farmstay, last time was at his old location. Paul is working hard to make subtle changes to his new campground for the benefit of all, but keeping it as natural as possible for campers to enjoy. His directions were spot on & he was super helpful when we got in a spot of bother with the caravan on site.

This is the property if you want peace and space. With no other camps in sight and acres of beautiful wetlands with an abundance of birdlife, it offered a true escape from the noise of everyday life. The stillness, the open skies, and the feeling of having the whole place to ourselves, accompanied by a massive fire pit, made it incredibly relaxing. A perfect spot for anyone seeking an escape.

Absolutely loved our stay at Maisie - very cosy, wholesome & lovely for a relaxing weekend! Sound of the water & nature was very peaceful. Felt like glamping which was nice! Secluded from other campsites & view (unless walking past). Would come back and recommend! Oh & farm store for eggs is a must - wish we got them before the trip for breaki!
