Or just spend your time in our main wild orchard, this is filled with old apple trees wild flowers and has the Copse all down one side and mature tree lines on all the other 3. It is split in 4 so you have your own slice to enjoy with privacy and the feeling of seclusion and never many people on site at a time.
We have Robins rest which is our relaxation and hot tub area, this space is in the heart of the Orchard with comfy undercover seating for you to totally unwind, bird watch and relax. A 3hr session here is an additional £45.
The whole site has been designed to allow you to disconnect from the outside world and technology, to slow down and enjoy taking some time to connect with nature, yourself, and others in your group.

If you’re quiet at night, the chances are you’ll get to hear owls a-hooting and may even see elusive deer flitting through the trees.
Direct from the pitches, you can walk for miles on an extensive network of footpaths in Southover Woods, connecting up with the long-distance Hardy Way and Dorset Jubilee Trail. Keen angers can head right next door to the well-stocked trout pools at Wessex Fly Fishing. Just so you’re aware, the Bell Tent pitches are down a long and bumpy track that can get muddy, and there will be some fetching and carrying of gear required from your vehicles.

West Holme Glamping is a micro-site with pre-erected bell tents in the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just the job for romantic mini-breaks or holidays for small families, it's set in 20 acres, so there’s plenty of privacy and lots of space to roam around.
The bell tents here come equipped with a double bed, rugs, picnic tables, lanterns, a gazebo and a gas barbecue. The three showers and three toilets are shared between six tents.. You'll just need to bring your own bed linen and towels or add them to your booking.
You can explore the area by car – medieval castles, beaches, National Trust sites and the Jurassic Coast are all less than half an hour’s drive away. Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are 20 minutes' drive away. Pretty market towns like Dorchester (also 30 minutes) or seaside resorts like Swanage (20 minutes) are all worth a mosey, while historic Wareham has Saxon town walls and riverside churches to explore. The sandy beaches of Studland and Swanage are also within half an hour's drive of the site.
If you’re feeling energetic, the Isle of Purbeck has plenty of walks and bike rides on the rocky peninsula overlooking the English Channel, as well as parts of the South West Coast Path.
The local farm shop is a 2 minute walk and sells the very best of local Dorset produce if you fancy cooking on the barbecue. And if you don’t, there’s a cosy tea shop attached, and there are plenty of gastropubs serving real ales and great grub in less than a 15-minute drive too.

Moorland Holt is a private hideaway nestling in a corner of south east Dartmoor, where a stunning 4m lotus belle tent offers a unique camping experience in a peaceful meadow glade surrounded by woodland, adjacent to open moor. This will be an offgrid experience but with the luxury of a 'proper' toilet and shower.
It is the only unit so you get the whole place to yourself, and the space includes a field kitchen equiped with a gas burner and cold box, along with a firepit for BBQ, campfire cooking, or just toasting marshmallows under Dartmoor's famous night sky.
Moorland Holt is a nature-lovers paradise, home to a wide variety of insects and birds, as well as resident tawny owls, and with fallow, roe and red deer, badgers and foxes regularly passing through. Stoats and lizards have also been known to make an appearance.
Our location is secluded and peaceful, ideal for walkers and those who want to be immersed in the wilds of Dartmoor, but is easy to reach from the A38 (Devon Expressway), and is just 10 minutes from the historic stannery town of Ashburton. It's 15 minutes walk to Buckland Beacon with views to the coast, and stunning night skies, and just 10 minutes walk to Ausewell Wood, one of Dartmoor's rare temperate rainforests ( looked after by the Woodland Trust and English Heritage) which includes wild, rugged wood and heath with dramatic rocky outcrops.
As well as nearby Ashburton, with a 12th century inn and award winning restaurants, just 10 minutes in the opposite direction is the moor town of Widecombe, an ideal destination for a morning's walk and pub lunch.
Landmark tors are also within a 10-minute drive, including one of Dartmoor's most popular attractions Haytor, and neighbouring Hound Tor. The River Dart is 20 minutes drive away, the famous medieval clapper bridge less than half an hour and Devon's stunning coast within 40 minutes drive.
Our Moorland Holt lotus belle tent is kitted out with a standard double bed but an extra air mattress could be added for a third person on request, but please note the site is not suitable for young children. One dog would be welcome but would need to be on a lead or tethered at all times to protect wildlife and livestock as the site is not secure.

Hello, welcome to Gold Hill Glamping, which is based at Allan’s Farm, a working dairy farm and our family home. You are likely to see the cows coming in for milking twice a day. There are our lovely shetland ponies Pixie and Trudie to stroke and and past the time with, they love attention! There are usually fresh farm eggs available to buy if you wish. Wildlife is in abundance here. Deer and hares are regular visitors and different species of owl can be heard hooting behind the glamping fields. We have a lovely bell tent, called Willow Bell which has its own eco- loo and BBQ area with Kadai fire-pit and logs / chairs to sit around the fire. We are excited to be welcoming a spacious Lotus Belle tent to our glamping portfolio from Spring 2021. The Lotus Belle offers all the comfort and spaciousness of a yurt but with the simplicity and ease of a bell tent. Hazel, our Lotus Belle tent, will be situated in a separate, and peaceful location on the farm with its own eco – loo and simple glamping kitchen facilities. Thereby, allowing for visitors to glamp completely separately, but also offering the option for friends and family to stay here together. The tents have a very comfortable double bed, which will be fully furnished for your stay, plus two single futon-style beds (please bring your own bedding for the futons). All crockery, BBQ tools, bedding, a fire pit, seating area and a couple of finishing touches are provided for your stay. Both bell tents also have access to a hot shower, and flushing toilet a short walk away in a converted building in the farmyard. We are also planning a small honesty shop, to buy local sausages, eggs and Barber's cheese which is made from our milk.

Weekend Trip to Lickham Bottom Camp
We had such a peaceful weekend at Lickham Bottom. We usually camp with our own kit but I needed some comfort while heavily pregnant. This was exactly what we hoped for! A comfy bed, our own toilet and outdoor shower with lovely hot water, all in a beautiful setting. The weather was hot so we appreciated the shade of the oaks but I think we’d still have had a lovely time in the rain under the kitchen shelter, looking out over the meadow.
So many thoughtful details like comfy camp chairs, hot water bottles, a cute shed with games and books and access to a small fridge.
Thanks Penny for setting everything up so well that we could have a properly relaxing time!

If you're looking to relax and soak up nature this is a beautiful spot on the edge of the forest. We stayed in a Bell Tent with lovely extras with some nice fruit tea bags and sugar stir sticks. Everything looked brand new.
Very clean showers and toilet blocks - modern and fresh.
Nothing was too much trouble - don't normally camp but I would have been happy for a week with a good book but sadly could only stay one night :-(

I came to Kingfisher (second time) with my daughter and new puppy during a spell of hot weather at the end of May. It was truly blissful - sitting in the shade of the big oak tree, listening to the vibrant bird sounds, swimming in the pond, reading, walking the puppy in the woods at the top. I completely unravelled and de-stressed. Jan has really done something special with this land. It is humming with life. The birdsong took my breath away. And I could let the puppy run free in our little glade. It was only a few weeks ago, and I miss it. Thank you Jan.

We had an incredible time here for a couple of nights. So peaceful and secluded, and really comfortable setup to just enjoy nature. We had a stag come really close to us, and the birds were very lively. Out of the lovely woodland it’s set in, there was access to open moorland and the Ten Commandment stones with amazing sunsets. Tina had supplied everything to make the trip easy. Very comfortable bed and a fully functional camping kitchen. Bathroom and shower were great and not far from the tent. Highly recommend!!

We loved our six-night stay in Buzzard Yurt with our 8 year old and all agreed it was our favourite glamping experience to date. The site is teeming with wildlife and the view from the yurt was beautiful. Facilities were very good - Jan seems to have thought of everything you could possibly need while not overdoing it, and it all felt very homely. The trampoline was much appreciated. Overall, it was an excellent combination of nature & fresh air alongside being sufficiently comfortable (bringing a child and various back ache problems, etc.) to enjoy it. The woodland nature reserve next door was also stunning in April. Thoroughly recommended.

Weekend Trip to Lickham Bottom Camp
We loved our weekend at Oak Tree Nook.
The outdoor kitchen shelter was a wonderful evening hang out with everything we needed and more.
In the daytime we explored the woods, spent time in the hammock, sunbathed - bliss.
We were cosy in the bell tent at night and although we didn't need the log burner, it was great to have the option.
The open air shower was sooooooooo good!
We would love to come back!

Fantastic site and Penny is a great host! We stayed in Bluebell, despite the wet weather we had a wonderful stay. Everything you need is provided, the kitchen is very well equipped, and Penny is on hand for any queries and advice on the local area etc. There is plenty of space and we were not at all disturbed by our neighbouring campers, as the pitches are well spaced. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Amazing stay with beautiful views. The tent is equipped with everything you need and beds are comfortable.
The environment is very calm and pizza night really is a success, not only the pizza's are very nice but you get to know the other people staying - amazing if you have kids as they start playing together.

This is a place to feel connected to the land and to completely let go of all the pressures of modern living. Jan is passionate about bio diversity and I loved walking up to the yurt, brushing past lavender and sage and wild flowers full of bees and butterflies, picking an apple on the way - and having it for breakfast whilst looking over a most glorious sunrise view from Buzzard Yurt. Then a walk in the woods and chilling in the hammock reading and soaking up the birdsong and the sound of the buzzard up above. At night - lying on the deck looking up at a starry sky and sitting round the fire toasting marshmallows. A truly relaxing and healing few days. Thank you Jan.

So we had a fantastic time at Kingfisher Yurt, relaxing under the Oak and Ash trees. Swimming pond was perfect.
Yurt was really comfortable and the kitchen was fab for dining and playing games, We hired the hot tub, which was also lovely.

5 nights at Moorland Holt (Dartmoor)
Nestled in the heart of a gorgeously wild yet maintained plot of land, the bell tent setup was really convenient, it was close enough to the owners to feel safe and able to ask for anything but far enough to feel independent and surrounded by nature.
Inside the tent were soft beds, big pillows, and a carpeted floor, creating a very comforting space. Thoughtful touches like a small bookshelf and lanterns added a personal touch and made it feel totally welcoming. The toilet, although closer to the owners' home, was better than any camping bathroom I've been to. Throughout our entire stay, the gentle rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of crickets made a magical soundtrack, enhancing the overall sense of tranquility.
There are two gorgeous and very different scenic walks that are a very reasonable distance, one being a 360 view of the moors, the other being a circular walk around an ancient woodland. Weekend Trip to Lickham Bottom Camp
Me and my family came here for the weekend and wow! We had an absolutely amazing time. The camp site was beautiful, it was fully equipped and Penny was absolutely amazing. She made sure we had everything we needed; she even lugged all of our stuff to the campsite on her quad bike! Could not thank Penny enough. We will be back!

We loved our stay at Buzzard Yurt! Jan was super friendly and helpful, and the kids loved the trampoline, the pond, the hot tub, feeding the chickens, picking the eggs and just everything the lovely campsite had to offer. It was such a good break from the bustle of city life and we cannot wait to return. The night skies were delightful with a sky full of stars and hardly any light pollution anywhere near us, and our days were filled with adventure and nature at the camp. Jan's campsite is conveniently located to lots of lovely sights - Beer, Seaton, Lyme Regis. A perfect break!

Where to go
Chard
On the eastern border of the Blackdown Hills, this countryside parish is a convenient launch point for exploration of South Somerset and Devon, with the seaside town of Lyme Regis just 30 minutes’ drive away. The surrounding area is home to touring parks, working farms, and exclusive glampsites, offering plenty of overnight accommodation under the stars.
Cullompton and the Culm Valley
West of the Blackdown Hills AONB, this rural region offers something for every Hipcamper. Campsites are easy to find, many offering caravan spots, secluded glampsites, and tent pitches. Walking and riding trails along the Culm Valley toward Hemyock reveal historic landmarks, riverside villages, and an array of native wildlife.
Honiton
Just 30 minutes’ train ride from Exeter St Davids and connected directly to London Waterloo, Honiton is an ideal destination for car-free adventurers. Wild-style pitches, working farms, and glamping lodges are popular, with many campers drawn to the picturesque banks of the River Otter.
East Devon AONB
Adjoining the Blackdown Hills to the south, this diverse landscape is also worth exploring, especially for anglers, birdwatchers, and watersports fans. A vast network of footpaths, riding routes, and nature trails guide adventurers through heathland, forests, and along World Heritage-listed coastline, while an array of holiday parks, farm pitches, and glamping accommodations provide plenty of camping options.
