This is such a wonderful site. The view is absolutely incredible. We loved having the entire field to ourselves, and the facilities are very good too. There are beautiful walks and bike rides straight from the site, and amazing places to visit nearby. I would definitely recommend this site if you are looking for somewhere quiet with amazing views.

We had an amazing stay in the Auvergne Naturelle. Kathryn and Robert are fantastic, warm, open people, and the place is just magic, hidden in Auvergne's wild nature but also with many options to do on the spot and a bit further around. I got so involved in making a wooden spoon from an apple tree branch that I am planning to continue the new woodworking hobby after the holidays, thanks to Rob. Moreover, we had a lot of great interactions with other guests - in some magic way, a lot of interesting and nice people get there:). Our 6-year-old son also had a lot of fun, especially with making a bow and swimming in their natural pool. Other details that made my days there: fresh breakfasts with delicious, the most buttery croissants I have ever had, starry nights, morning showers in the rising sun, comfortable and huge bed, campfire every night. I am just grateful I have found this place!

Made to feel very welcome both before and during our stay-nothing was too much trouble-offers to collect food from the shops ,lovely bakery morning delivery (in person to the van)and delicious evening meals-OK so it was a little muddy-but the rainiest spring and summer in many years is nobody’s fault and we were sensibly advised to park our van in the gravel forecourt so it did not affect our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Domaines des Mathevies. The owners were so friendly but with a light touch approach, the pizzas were delicious and the campsite had a lovely laid back, friendly feel to it. The pool was an added bonus to cool off after a hot and hilly cycle back from the local market in Sarlat and the facilities were always spotlessly clean. Would definitely return.

My second stay and loved every minute! If you're looking for a relaxed and informal site with two great hosts, away from the hustle and bustle of larger sites then this is for you. A super warm welcome and choice of any available pitch sets the tone for your stay. Not too many rules and hoist always willing to help out in any way they can, Enjoyed being educated in French music, eating home made honey and chatting away in the sunshine. Facilities are clean and the quiet pool with no inflatables is an added bonus! Brantome is 10 mins away if you want a taste of village life. We will be back again for sure!
