Camping near Crozon guide

Where to go

Crozon Peninsula

With its dramatic headlands, sandy beaches, and heather-blanketed moorlands, the Crozon Peninsula—or the Presqu'île de Crozon—was made for explorers. Hike along the coastal path at Cap de la Chèvre and admire views of the rocky isles at Pointe de Pen-Hir, go kayaking or rock climbing at Ile Vierge cove, or stroll around the pretty port towns of ‌Camaret-sur-Mer and Morgat.

Armorique Regional Nature Park

East of the Crozon Peninsula, across the Aulne River, the Armorique Regional Natural Park encompasses more than 125,000 hectares of lowland mountains, lakes, and coastline. Set out to hike, mountain bike, or horseback ride along more than 300 miles of trails, then seek out a tranquil tent camping pitch or caravan site in the heart of the countryside.

Cap Sizun peninsula

On the south side of Douarnenez Bay, Quimper and Concarneau are the gateways to the Cléden-Cap-Sizun peninsula. Hit the coastal road in your motorhome to discover some of Finistère’s hidden corners, hopping out to hike along soaring sea cliffs, enjoy surfing and water sports at the beaches of Audierne and Plouhinec, and marvel at the views from La Pointe du Raz.

When to go

Brittany’s weathered coastline receives its fair share of wind and rain throughout the year, and your best bet for a beach holiday is to stick to the summer months. June through September bring the biggest crowds, along with annual favourites like the Festival du Bout du Monde and the Mardis de Morgat music concerts. Camping season runs from April through October, and many campgrounds close during the winter months.
