Welcome to Smokey Acres! This property has been in my family for decades. My Husband and I were married under the oaks and have had our share of campfires out there. Down a hidden gravel drive with wetlands on either side you will find a completely fenced in field surrounded by pine, oak, and swamp maple trees. There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees. Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando. A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! There are two ponds located on the property both stocked with bass, bluegill, and sunfish. The front pond is home to many natural Florida wildlife and is a great location to bird watch. The property is also home to several sheep and Pency the Llama.  Located a few miles from Brooksville and the Suncoast Parkway, this quiet and peaceful setting is just 5 minutes from the parking area and trailhead for the Suncoast Trail and 10 miles from the famous Weeki Wachee Springs, where you can spend the day at the local park or float down the river with the manatees.  Withlacoochee State Park and other natural preserves with trail access and kayaking are only a short distance away, and Dames Cave, Homosassa Springs, and Chasawiska Springs are all within a ~20-minute drive as well. Spending a day at the beach is easy with plenty of options along the Nature Coast. We’re also less than an hour from Tampa and Clearwater and two hours from Orlando.  A perfect weekend get-away for anyone looking to “unplug,” Smokey Acres is also a great stop for those passing through the area. We are a close distance to many racing, livestock, boating and fishing events. We have no problem accommodating whatever you’re towing! Whether you'd like a leisurely day on the river or an adventure in the Gulf, there are plenty of boating options nearby. Be sure to make it back to the property in time to enjoy amazing sunsets that bring peace and tranquility to your experience.  Our neighbors, JG Ranch, offers U- Pick Fruit and Vegetables or a great selection of local harvest at their roadside stand.  This 10-acre property has been in my family for decades. My Husband and I were married under the oaks and have had our share of campfires together out there.  I've recently moved back home with my own family and as much as we enjoy the land for ourselves we'd love to share it. " You belong among the wildflowers" this glamping tent is an ode to our Florida legend, Tom Petty. Tucked away off our Nature Trail this spacious site is just a short walk to relaxation. Comfy as you can be in a primitive site. Your tent and queen bed will be waiting. Two chairs create the perfect reading nook as well as turn into twin beds. Natural light fills the tent but there are also plenty of fairy lights to set the mood. Just outside you'll find the perfect spot to sit and enjoy your breakfast while admiring the "Real" Florida all around you. Enjoy your evenings around the fire pit! Great way to end your adventures staring at the stars as you swing in the hammock. A queen size bed is provided. you'll need to bring your own bedding, blankets and pillows. You also need to bring your own towels and linens.

We rented RV site 2 for tent camping and it was amazing! The site was spacious and spread apart from the other guests. The owner stopped by and was gracious enough to loan us an electrical adapter so we could get power and stopped by everyday for general maintenance and to check on our stay! It was an amazing holiday weekend and hated to see it end! There is toilet and shower (outdoor) and it was much appreciated even if a little rustic!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

It looked like a beautiful place to stay. Unfortunately FL’s absolutely absurd use of online and app only reservations did not provide us with enough information to realize we made a reservation an hour south of our position while headed north. We never got to experience this site. Please visit this site to provide better information to people like myself in the future. But be weary of FL reservation requirements. This was in no way at all the hosts fault. However unless you’re in an RV I highly recommend staying out of FL if you want to camp. Especially in a truck with a rooftop tent. RV sites won’t take your overland vehicle and tent sites won’t allow you either. We visited public land, “Ocala national forest” after this only to find it trashed and disgusting with drug paraphernalia, and beheaded animals in ponds, and shady characters boondocking in the only good camp spots. We will not be back to FL, ever, for our offroad adventures. I’ve been all over the world, 13 countries and have never felt so unwelcome and inconvenienced in a state in my own country as FL.

We had such a wonderful stay at this campground! The grounds are absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful — the perfect place to unwind. The amenities were excellent and made everything so convenient and comfortable. Our dog loved it just as much as we did, which is always a huge plus! We will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

Gypsy Garden Primitive Tent Site
I have stayed at Hilary's property a couple of times when visiting Weeki Wachee. It's a short drive to the rivers and a great tent camping spot just as advertised. She gave clear driving directions and instructions on checking in and was quickly responsive to any questions I had. The last time I visited I was able to bring my puppy and he had a blast playing at our camp site. Great dog friendly spot I will be returning to when I come back to see the rivers again! I love that she has a variety of site options as well if I ever decide I want to have a more elevated experience from tent camping such as glamping or staying in her cabin

We stayed at the Gypsy garden tent site. It was a nice spot. It had a fence for privacy, lots of room, fire pit and chairs. The nature walk was cool. Tried fishing in the pond but didn't catch anything. Altogether a great little spot for camping.

Loved camping here! So happy I brought a wagon since you have to carry your stuff easier since it’s a little bit of a walk but nothing terrible! Bathrooms and shower were clean would 100% come back! Great communication as well.

Great spot! There’s firewood available for purchase, easily accessible bathroom, and a beautiful plot. Plenty to do around if you’re open to a short drive, but a nice spot to rest and relax if you’re staying in.

This is a beautiful spot under the trees, spacious. Other than sound of the road in the distance it’s perfectly quiet. Owners are hospitable and agreeable; don’t disturb your privacy. Firewood is gigantic!

This was a great place to camp! We stayed at camp site 5, which was tucked away in the woods along the trail. It felt remote and secluded, which made for a peaceful stay. There were three of us staying and we each had enough room with our own tents. We were able to purchase fire wood on site which was convenient. The spot is far enough away from people to feel like primitive camping but it’s also a close enough drive off the highway that we ran to Walmart for some extra supplies. Since it is near the highway I could hear some traffic at night but that is not a deal breaker for me, especially since everything else worked well for us. It was only about 15-20 minutes from Weeki Wachee Springs, which was a fun excursion. The site was clean, the addition of the shower and bathroom were pleasant, and the property was beautiful. I think all three of us are considering coming back in the future!
