We are located on 100 wooded acres with only 34 tenting / trailer sites 7 cabins, and 4 trailer rentals, guaranteeing a quiet, private and peaceful getaway. We are surrounded by hundreds of acres of wooded forest so peace and quiet will not be hard to find. Natural trails for hiking and biking run throughout the campground. Our campsites are large and a minimum of 50 feet between sites, some even 75′. You can see pictures of each campsite on our booking page and it will give you specific information about the size and what each site can accommodate. Our remote off grid property in the forest east of Eagle Lake is a great place to disconnect and decompress. The roadside Bunkie sleeps 2 comfortably and can accommodate a RV trailer or tent as well. Pets are welcome.  The property has a pit toilet, and campfires are allowed in the designated pit. There is also potable water in the bin with an outdoor kitchen and BBQ area. In the winter water would have to be stored inside. Linen not provided. You’ll wake up surrounded by trees and can explore the great hiking, nature viewing, atv trails and boating in the summer months. In the winter enjoy glaming in the propane heated bunkie, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snow machine trails at the door. Wildlife is all around.  Several lakes and parks are nearby, including Mikisew Provincial Park on Eagle Lake, about 20 km south, where you can go boating, paddling, or swimming and Algonquin Provincial Park is close as well with many lakes and hiking trails. Some restaurants and stores can be found in the South River, about 20 km away.

The Chickadee Cabin is completely off-grid. There is no electricity, no indoor running water, and no internet. *it does have off-grid amenities, please continue to read ad* The cabin is an ongoing project; however, it is well equipped for a comfortable and relaxing stay for adventure seekers and peace-and-quiet lovers who don’t mind roughing it just a little. Lighting is provided by three propane lights (two in the kitchen area and one in the downstairs bedroom). An assortment of quality LED rechargeable lamps are also available for lighting the upstairs bedroom. Solar lighting is planned for 2026. In the meantime, several battery-operated options help make the cabin feel almost like it has electricity. A Bluetti AC70 power station is available to power and charge low-draw devices such as cell phones, tablets, portable DVD players, AC lamps, and a Nintendo Switch. The cabin also has an AM/FM radio that receives several clear stations. There is a 16-inch portable DVD player with a small collection of classic movies. The cabin is heated with a wood stove, and all firewood for indoor heating is provided (during cold/winter months). Guests are kindly asked to bring their own bagged firewood if they plan to use the outdoor fire pit. Bagged firewood is available at local general stores. Cooking is done on a propane stove with four burners and an oven. The kitchen is stocked with basic essentials, including utensils, pots and pans, and dishes. There is also a dc solar refrigerator. A cooler is also provided for keeping additional refreshments cold. If you intend to use the cooler, please bring your own ice. An outdoor outhouse serves as the toilet. The cabin is located at the end of a roughly 300-foot laneway. Winter access is by walking or snowshoeing. Multiple pairs of snowshoes are available to borrow, and a toboggan is provided for hauling gear. Parking is available at the beginning of the laneway, just off the road. During non-winter months, guests are able to drive right to the cabin. The walk in takes only a couple of minutes and is manageable for anyone of reasonable fitness. Two private off grid cabins close to Algonquin Park. Large campsite with fire pit, muskoka chairs, picnic table, bbq, canoe and on site parking. Cabins sleep two each. You may also bring a tent to set up. The cabins are less then 100ft from water by private trail. You can step into the lake it begins rocky and shallow. Water is calm, clean and beautiful! The property is 65 acres which you're welcome to walk on with the exception of the direct cottage area. Experienced respectful campers welcome!
