Hosted by Berny and Stuart Moore, Blacksmith Landing Eco Camp is nestled in the majestic Rocky Mountain Trench in Southeastern BC, just a short drive from Lussier natural hot springs, hiking, boating, canoeing, golfing, breathtaking WhiteSwan Lake, Premier Lake, Findlay Falls and the Kootenay and Columbia rivers.

1) .”How far are we from Banff…
2 hours of a beautiful drive that includes kootenay national park.
2)..Important ❗️❗️Please do not bring firewood from other areas to our camp as our property is heavily treed forest and we do not want any transfer of raw wood bugs. We offer $10 generous bundles of wood.
3) When you book, One tent or RV and one vehicle per site. If you are looking to book for a group of friends/family area, we can help with that.. prior to booking.
Also, we reserve the right to put you in the best possible spot to fit in a proper site for what you are camping in and what your needs are. Often people book a site that’s completely wrong for them… but that’s ok… we will fix it. 😊
4) Smoking only on sand at sites and nowhere else on our property Please use a container to hold your butts.
5) Noise restrictions after 9pm…no music or loud behaviour after that. Strictly enforced. We value respect in the camp for all campers.
6) Once you book, we will reply back with important information on the phone number you booked with. Please check for our messages to you for a smooth booking and arrival.
Campers… please do Not put any garbage, of any kind, and especially diapers in our pit toilets. . thank you
Blacksmith Landing is a safe, spacious and peaceful camp where minimal environmental impact is encouraged. We are faithful stewards and respect our beautiful forested lands and animals Our expectation is that campers will also share this respect for our Eco systems in an environmentally friendly way.
As we take this Hipcamp journey together, we are finding little things we can do to make your stay better…Like offering a complimentary table at your site should you require one…. or adjusting the site you booked to one that would perhaps fit your needs much better as we know it’s difficult to choose a perfect site on line. If you forgot something, we probably have one…. Feel free to ask.

This camp was absolutely perfect for a short stay. Not only were Bernie & Stuart great, but they also offered a great site for the RV, super clean out houses, wash station, incredible homemade meals and goodies (do not pass this up) and a beautiful hike to an incredible view. We loved it so much, that we would go out of our way to visit again! Thank you, Bernie & Stuart!

We loved our stay with Berny and Stuart!! The double date was beautiful, spacious and clean. We visited during a hot spell, and there was plenty of shade!
We had the pot pies and veggies, and they were delicious, everything fresh from the garden! Loved jt!!
Berny and Stuart are so warm and welcoming. They go above and beyond to be excellent hosts!

Berny was there to welcome us and direct us to the best spot. We enjoyed the walk around their property in the evening to the overlook of the amazing Kootenay River. And the unique perk was the delicious farm-to-table meals delivered by Berny right to our campsite!

Berny and Stuart were extremely gracious hosts - they opened up a site for us last minute during our winter road trip and showed us to it personally when we arrived. They gave us lots of tips on the area as well. The land itself was lovely, all the camp spots seemed to have their own little piece of personality. I've also never seen such well looked after port-a-potties anywhere, they were very comfortable. Thanks Berny and Stuart!

Great, level parking site in driveway. Host had electric and water hookups conveniently close by. Ullu was at work when we arrived but came as soon as we called to have car moved that was parked in spot. Great location to visit Kootenay and Canal Flats.

Another season has wrapped up at Blacksmith Landing and I definitely left the camp very emotional! We absolutely love this place. The campground is immaculate, so well taken care of. Every activity you might want to do is close by, more beautiful lakes to choose from than you have time for! The owners are the most hospitable, lovely people (with the best stories!) and the FOOD. Worth the trip on it's own. Our entire family cherishes every weekend here and we can't wait until next season!!!!

We absolutely loved our time at Bernie & Stuart's! They were incredibly warm and welcoming, and we're so grateful they opened up their stunning property to campers, like us. We purchased & were treated to a delicious meal and treats from Bernie.
The hike on the property to the breathtaking Kootenay River view was a highlight, as was finding the charming tree book nook. For anyone boondocking, Bernie's "cutest little loo" is a huge plus!
We highly recommend staying here!! You will love it!

Bernie and Stuart are such wonderful people. You can really feel and are that they put their heart and soul in running the campground. They waited for us at the gate (as they do for every camper!!) and gave us a warm welcome.
In the morning we ordered some home made cinnamon rolls and they were delicious. After that we took a walk towards the campground ridge (about 20mins) and enjoyed the breath taking views of the Kootenay river.
We had a blast!

Berny and Stuart are the nicest hosts you could possibly hope for. Their land backs up to the river and has an excellent overlook with comfortable benches. The hot springs and white swan lake are close and are both excellent spots.
Get some treats! Their cinnamon rolls where the best we’ve ever had!
