There are two beautiful lakes (Battle Lake and Pigeon Lake) within a 10-minute drive that offer boating, fishing, beaches, biking and walking trails.

Collin’s Wood is a very special place indeed. The land was bought by my grandfather years ago when he moved to Canada from England and wanted to chase his log cabin dream. Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. We’ve hosted weddings, and family reunions. We hope you appreciate how special this place is. Come see for yourself!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway, surrounded by gardens and trees, with three acres to explore. Horse lovers are welcome, and bed and bale accommodations can be provided.
This one-bedroom private cabin is tucked away in a lush, green setting. Wake up to the sounds of birdsong and the horses neighing in the fields. Help yourself to Saskatoon berries, rhubarb, or apples when they're in season. Fresh-laid eggs will soon be available upon request.
We're just a few minutes from town and easy to find. Google Maps can be a bit confusing, as it lists the wrong postal code and town. Don't worry—the map pin will guide you to the right place.
We have two driveways separated by a white fence. Please use the second driveway, drive past the shop, and you'll see a building on the right. Feel free to pull up to the little porch—we aren't protective of the grass! The green door is your entrance. We'll leave the door unlocked on check-in days, and you'll find the key inside.

Our resort features a large canvas tent close to the James River, surrounded by trees in the Canadian wilderness. Enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful natural setting. It’s perfect for families who want the camping experience while still enjoying a little extra comfort.
The glamping tent has one queen bed, but you are welcome to bring your own tent or cot to accommodate up to four guests. The price is based on double occupancy. Additional guests are $40 per person, per night. No pets are permitted. Please note that the tent is not heated. Free Wi-Fi is available!
TENT AND RV CAMPSITES
There are three very private tent and RV campsites available. These sites do not have electricity or water hookups. A shared outhouse is available for guests staying at the tent and RV sites.
Each site includes a picnic table, fire pit, and waste bin. Firewood is available for purchase at the time of booking or after check-in, and guests are also welcome to bring their own.
Pets are welcome with an additional pet fee.

It’s so gorgeous out on Geri & Pat’s land! We had an excellent weekend relaxing as a family. The bus has everything you need; we overpacked preparing for a barebones situation and were pleasantly surprised. There’s super friendly horses that graze on the land that we loved visiting. Lots of great trails to explore. We’re already planning future visits!

5 nights at Collinswood Retreat
Can’t rave this place enough, it was my second time here & i’m convinced it gets better each time! Geri & Pat are amazing hosts, Geri was there to lend a hand and stock us up with whatever we needed! My sister and I stayed here & ventured off during the days to do some hiking & paddle boarding, but was a great little place to call home base & venture around!
The horses were a dream to wake up to & we loved seeing them, along with Piper! 🐾
I’m very selective of who I tell this place about because although I would LOVE to rave Geri & Pat’s property, I fear I may have to be a bit selfish & gatekeep it 🙈
Looking forward to our next visit whenever that may be! 😁

What an amazing hidden little gem! Poppy was the cutest and quirkiest way to go glamping. So cozy and with every amenity we could’ve wanted or needed. And the entire site was great to hike around and truly unwind and enjoy our first anniversary get away.

This is our 2nd trip to Collingwood, and this is a great site! It’s very private and there are some nice amenities in Poppy. Lots of places for me and my boys to explore. The boys loved sitting in the drivers seat of the bus!

Weekend Trip to Hidden Springs Retreat & Guesthouse
We had a wonderful stay at Hidden Spring Retreat! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and a great place to relax and enjoy some time in nature. Everything was well kept, and we really enjoyed the experience.
Barbara was super nice, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. She made us feel very comfortable and was always happy to help. And of course, Fox, her puppy, was such a highlight! He is incredibly friendly and sweet. 🐶❤️
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Hidden Spring Retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We’d love to come back again!

The area had endless trails to explore and so many options to enjoy. If you needed something Pat & Geri were close by to meet your needs. Pat and Geri were wonderful hosts, the yurt was clean and comfortable. I have now stayed at their lovely property twice (once camping, and now this time in the yurt) and I will be back again! My friends have also all stayed at some point or another, and have all had excellent experiences. It truly is a retreat!

We had the best time staying here! My husband, my cat, and I loved every minute. The treehouse is so charming and cozy, and it's even cuter in person. You can tell a lot of thought went into all the little details—they really make the place feel special.

Weekend Trip to Collinswood Retreat
The yurt was a perfect mix of camping and glamping. I needed a weekend away that didn’t require all the work that usually goes with it and this was exactly that. Geri and Pat provided wood and the site had a bbq, plates, cutlery, some pots and pans, and a battery to charge my phone, and the yurt was so comfortable. My dogs and I got to explore the network of trails on the beautiful property and I loved that the yurt was secluded in the forest. I brought my own camping chair just for my own comfort but there are chairs and a picnic table. The outhouse was clean and didn’t smell. A tornado touched down north of the property (near Rocky Mountain House) and they made sure to message me to let me know that that was happening and that I could shelter with them if I need to. Just amazing hosts! I will be coming back!
