We purchased this property while on our honeymoon in 1996. We camped here often from 1996 until we moved to the property in 2001. We built our home and raised our two kids here. We have enjoyed spending time in the creek, hiking the trails and spending evenings by the fire. In addition to on-site activities our area has excellent biking of all types, trout fishing, kayak/canoeing and several Amish farms where produce can be purchased. Come relax... Learn more about this land: Forty acres of wooded property with trout streams and mountain bike/hiking trails on site. Wild life is abundant. Fire pit with some wood provided. The driftless area hosts beautiful gravel and road biking. There are two excellent mountain bike trails within 30 miles.

Relaxing weekend in the woods
We missed the fall leaves, but the site was great. The valley is beautiful and listening to the stream is very relaxing. We hope to come back in the spring

If you love birdwatching this is your place. We stayed the third week of October for two nights and saw a bald eagle, cardinal, blue jays, owls, corvids and migrating songbirds plus many more... spot was great, lots of trails to hike near the campsite and around the towns. We went mountain biking on the west ridge trail and it was awesome. ( this was in the town of Kickapoo which is a 25min drive from the site) I highly recommend this trail if you are a backpacker and would like to do primitive camping on the trail. We will do this on our next visit! You do need a permit. Nightsky is beautiful and there are plenty of woods and trees with a gorgeous sunrise and sunset. We had a lovely time. I would recommend a picnic table at the site, if the host would like to consider. Host was kind and welcoming. Thank you for the stay!

Great secluded campsite
A beautiful spacious camp sight with lots of privacy, on a small brook, with tons of trails. The hosts were great answering every question and were super inviting.

Driftless Gem
Suzie and her family were so welcoming, even though we showed up late in the night. A babbling brook, our dog happily exploring the woods off leash and a glorious night sky. We had a delightful getaway!

This is what you’re looking for
The hosts: Extremely nice and welcoming The land: 400x better than any campground. Beautiful views in every direction, secluded but very comfortable. The town: super nice people, interesting shops, and plenty of vegan options. The conclusion: if you’re looking at this review; stop, book this location, and start planning your positive review.

Suzie and her family were very kind and accommodating. The site is well maintained and the surrounding area is beautiful. I slept outside near the fire pit to listen to the sound of the neighboring stream. My dog had a fantastic time. I think he wanted to live there.

A beautiful little spot by the creek! I really enjoyed my stay here. It was quiet & peaceful, and Suzie & her family were very accommodating. They went out of there way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The site was well maintained, nestled in the woods just off the road, and stocked with a wheelbarrow full of fire wood. I was a solo camper and felt very safe, would definitely recommend!
