Just featured on CBS's show "STAYCATION!" Enchantment and tranquility embody our Whimsical Lakeside Romantic Retreat property nestled in the hill country on Lake Travis, just outside of Austin, TX. This magical space is the perfect backdrop for a variety of special events, including weddings, corporate retreats, yoga and mindfulness retreats, reunions, birthdays, girl's weekends and bachelorette parties, & many other special occasions. 7 total accommodations starring a Luxury Straw Bale Villa, 3 Eco-Cabins, a Cottage, and 2 Unique Safari Tents. Our main house, 'La Casa de Joy,' is a stunning luxury straw bale villa (once featured on HGTV) that is truly the perfect gathering space for a variety of special occasions and memorable events. Originally built by an artist & healer, her creative intention and style is felt throughout the entire property. Living Waters is blessed with an abundance of nature, including deer, birds, butterflies, crickets, hummingbirds, & more. You may wake up to the deer sleeping just outside your accommodation. Indulge you and your group by taking advantage of our on-site private yoga, massage, personal training, and facial services, and kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddle board rentals. We recommend local activities such as a wine tasting at Stone House Vineyard (walking distance), a swim/picnic at Krause Springs spring-fed pool, or an eco-adventure at Cypress Valley Canopy Tours. This unique property is a tranquil and rejuvenating respite in the hill country on Lake Travis, therefore it's not ideal for loud parties. The property is gorgeous. There is a ton of stuff to do in the area. We had a wonderful experience and we're looking forward to going back. Communication was awesome, and I would not hesitate to rebook. The only regret is not staying long enough.

Lakefront Cabin Adventure: Kayaks!
The bunkhouse was clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our few days away. Grounds were peaceful and quiet, perfect for watching deer and hummingbirds from our little deck. Paddling the lake was just lovely. Highly recommend.

Lakefront Cabin Adventure: Kayaks!
I stayed in the loft eco-cabin with my friend for a weekend, and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The cabin was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, while the property itself was stunningly beautiful. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the serene, private atmosphere and the incredible views of the lake. There were plenty of cozy spots to relax and take in the surroundings, making it feel like a little slice of paradise. One of the highlights was the magical ambiance of the property—it’s truly the perfect place for stargazing under a clear night sky. The owner went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, being both helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway, and I can’t wait to come back!

Cozy Lakefront Retreat: Winery+Yoga
Stayed at the upstairs cottage with 3 close friends of mine for my birthday and had such wonderful/wholesome time. The property is truly magical. We went to Krause Springs but I found the lake at the backyard to be much better. We paddle boarded to the middle of the lake and swam till dark! Highly recommend bringing a blanket and star gazing on the luxurious grass.

This place is amazing! It’s gorgeous, comfortable beds, and has great coffee. We had a blast! The lake was too low to access it easily, but if we had rented a kayak we possibly would’ve swam there. But we went to Krause springs nearby instead and it was awesome! I’d love to stay here again. Such a cool place!

Lakefront Cabin Adventure: Kayaks!
It’s such a beautiful property and the owners have gone above and beyond to build such a cool spot near the lake! This weekend was ridiculously hot, but each cabin we rented had very cold AC. The beds were comfortable and love that each cabin has a shower. Two of them even have a very large bathtub! I was also happy that each cabin has a small fridge, a coffee pot with quality complimentary coffee and not a Keurig pod machine. Our host was very generous when our accommodations became complicated. I received excellent communication from him and found him to be extremely pleasant to speak with. I was impressed that he even found a yoga instructor last minute for our group. The place is cool, the owner is cool, and I’d definitely stay there again. Unfortunately the water is super low right now, so we were not able to easily get into the lake. But we went to Krause Springs to swim for the afternoon instead and loved it. The 15 min drive there was worth it. We paid $10 to get in, ate snow cones, swam under the waterfall and into the cave. I recommend staying at this Hipcamp and then making a day adventure to Krause Springs. We had an amazing weekend!

We loved the room, the bathroom and the view from the room and the dark night sky to look at. A gorgeous hammock outside to lie on while watching and listening to the birds. We had the whole place to ourselves on a weeknight which was so fab. Would be awesome if guests could control the fan temp and power. The coffee maker has a really bright light and the fridge hums quite loud; both these things are about 4ft from the end of the (lovely & comfortable bed) so it does affect the Zen vibe somewhat, but if you're used to this kind of noise nearby at home then it mightn't worry you.

There was so much space in the cottage! And the views outside the window plus the natural light that came in was phenomenal! We got to see all of the deer from our window every morning roaming the property right in front of us. Such a beautiful place!

The Magical Lakefront Villa is where you should definitely stay! It’s so romantic and spacious and perfect for hosting a group. This place has so much personality from the finishes of the house to all of the art displayed. Waking up in this home every day was true bliss! I can’t wait to return!

Romantic Lakefront Escape: Massage!
The tent itself and everything inside was great. However the pictures posted of the outside of our site do not reflect current conditions. Chairs were broken, the 3 hammocks were torn, flung over tree branches, and black with mold from water damage. The only bench to eat was backed against a tree with overgrown grass which made it difficult to use/enjoy. I was disappointed that we did not get to sit outside and enjoy the sunrise/sunset since upkeep of the site was not provided. Otherwise it would be a great place to stay since it is very private and close to the water.

Travis was beyond accommodating and helpful, and the stay in The Loft was the perfect weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday with friends. The Loft had everything we needed and we felt completely at home. We also got to go down to the lake and rent paddle boards from Travis which made our water time even more enjoyable. The winery that’s 2 mins away was one of our stops, followed by some cute little food stands close by as well. 10/10 would recommend and even talked about renting a few of the cabins along with other friends for another fun filled weekend in the future!

I surprised my daughter with a glamping trip in the loft cabin at Living Waters on Lake Travis. Out host Travis was amazing! He made sure our stay was comfortable and fun! The property was great. Beautiful view and very chill. The amenities were also really nice, you can rent kayaks and paddle board, swim in the lake etc. you get your exercise hiking up the hill from the water to the cabins. There is a floating cabin common to all staying on the property, also you can use hammocks and fire pit. The cabin we stayed at "The bunks" i think it was called, was just that, a small shower bathroom and four bunkbeds. It was comfortable, but the wind was so hard that we were woken up by the trees hitting the roof all night/early morning, but that's mother nature.

We had a very relaxing time, Todd the host is very receptive and answered all my questions via text message instantly. The cabin itself was very clean and comfortable , it had everything that we would need. The property is very well kept with good landscaping. We made memories!!!

1-of-a-Kind Lakefront Escape: Yoga!
This was truly amazing! The blue house was so cute and perfect for me and my best friend. We loved the yoga area, the landscaping, and of course the beautiful water. We hiked local trails, kayaked on the water, and went to the local winery! I would recommend this to anyone and we are definitely coming back again with the whole family!

Romantic Lakefront Getaway - Kayaks
Quirky and perfect. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating. Very nice host. Wonderful open water swimming. Do your food shopping well before you arrive.
