This would have to be the best Farm Stay that we have ever done,we are so sad to leave but there will definitely be a next time,Katie & Jason are the most amazing hosts,they make you feel so welcome,they have the most beautiful views of the mountains & sarounds,cannot wait to come back,do yourself a favour,add it to your bucket list,you won't be disappointed.

Mountview Farm Stay
OMG! What a find!
We just spent 4 nights here (extended from 2). Ridiculously great value for money spacious, flat sites with water. Perfect, safe base to explore Townsville and Magnetic Island. The best part of this place though are the hosts, Katie and Jason. The kindest, friendliest people we have met on our big lap so far. Highly recommend.

Mountview Farm Stay
Lovely Mountview Farm and poodles
Our stay at Mountview & Poodles was impromptu. On our way back from the Daintree, we needed a night. Our expectations were exceeded by a long way. This place is very nice. The views of the mountains are pretty, it's quiet, there is plenty of space to setup, there's water points, fires can be had, firewood is for sale, overall a great stop if you're self sufficient for toilets and showers. (There is a dump point on site too).
More highlights. It is a farm stay so plenty of animals which kids really enjoyed. While we were there there was also an outdoor movie setup for the kids which they liked.
Poodles! I'm not sure if the farm owners are breeders of poodles, but they had a lot of puppies while we were there. So cute!
The farm is also pet friendly with day pens for your doggos should you need them. We enjoyed some interactions with some of the other visitors' pets too.
Lastly. The hosts Jason and Katie were truly lovely. They came to greet us after we setup & told us about their plans with the farm & camping area. They offered assistance as needed, and we bought great firewood for a nominal price that supports their son, Jai's sporting activities (he shoots clay pigeons at rep level).
Whilst loading the firewood, Jai came over to help us. Another lovely lad with big plans!
We'll be back when in the area again - thanks Jason, Katie and Jai.

Mountview Farm Stay

This was by far our favourite place to stay thus far and we can't see it being topped any time soon.
Mt View had the lot and was a total experience for our whole family (including our doggy).
For our little ones (10m, 2.5y) animal visits, giant swing, movie nights, buggy rides and a friendly atmosphere that encouraged the little ones to all play together. Our kids were even lucky enough to have some water play with other kids at the camp-site as well.
For us, this was the first time we felt comfortable leaving our dog at that camp-site while we adventured into town. This made it easy for us to see the museum and get some shopping done. There are dog runs available for day use which is so handy. Easily the most dog friendly place we have found.
Katie and Jason (and their children) were so lovely to our whole family and we felt so lucky to be one of their first visitors. In fact our son keeps repeating "Jason is my friend mumma" for an hour after leaving. The camp vibe was so friendly and relaxed and it was so easy to feel at home welcome in their space.
We cannot thank you enough and wish you the very best on this venture.
