Hear the distant cattle moo in the morning mist, and sheep at the neighbouring farmhouse. 300 metres from the Rupert Community Centre (Rupert Fair September 12-13). 10km North of Wakefield. The Lapeche General Store is just a few kms down the road. The property is not far from the road, and while the speed limit is low, some road noise is to be expected. What’s Included • Sleeps 2 guests inside the coop (bring your own bedding or sleeping bags & pillows). Bed is a convertible Sleeper Sofa (better than a futon) - photo soon • Outdoor fireplace (chiminea with grill), and starter supply of firewood & kindling • Fresh drinking water + separate water for dishes and fire safety • Outdoor camp kitchen setup with propane stove, basic cookware, dishes & utensils, and water for cooking and cleaning • Indoor bucket-style camp toilet (Lugaloo type), lined for easy cleanup (instructions provided). • On-site parking Good to Know • Off-grid experience. We provide a solar-recharged battery for basic lighting and charging small devices. Power is weather-dependent, so please also bring your own flashlights and spare batteries. • Fires only in the provided outdoor fireplace (chiminea). • Coop is not insulated, so bring lots of blankets, and snuggle up! • No feeding or calling to wildlife — enjoy them quietly from a distance • Great views, but no access to farm fields • Quiet hours: 10 pm – 8 am • Only battery-operated lanterns or flashlights (no gas lanterns or candles) • Spotty cell service — perfect for unplugging! ________________________________________ Check-In: 3:00 pm | Check-Out: 11:00 am Extra firewood available for purchase
